J sat there, sipping on the glass of wine he was handed. All the while, he listened to the chatter going on about the house. It felt good to be home, here with his family. It had been so long since he was last here, or so it seemed that way to him. The twins were growing so fast and now he had a son. Where did the time go? It seemed like yesterday that they were fleeing the horror of the Cylon attack on the 12 Colonies. Of course, there was still the threat from a Cylon attack. J knew there was plenty of activity going on in the Fleet. A sudden thud from upstairs caught J's attention. Turning his head towards the stairs, J shouted upstairs to his daughters.
"All right you two, enough! Don't make me come up there. Hurry up and get washed for dinner. And whatever that thud noise was, pick it up before you come downstairs."
J smiled and sipped some more wine.
"It's good to be the King of my castle."

Tiran Kaun, Colonial Engineer, Gondawan Companies executive, Grandfather, father and father in-law, now wearing an apron, bid the family to come to the table.
"In honor of a friend, family, and a Colonial hero, Alicia. I bid you all welcome. Together again, at last, heh?" He raised a glass and toasted each of them as their new assistant, and nanny from Gondawa's own soil on Terra, began to serve the food.
Elea and J's son lay nearby feeding on a special bottle of formula, created from ancient ingredients like bee pollen, milk, kara leaf extract and cin'que a ce, a chocolate nut that smelled of coconut and lime.
"Perhaps, as well, Elea, you two will delight us in sharing his name with us." Alicia said as she sipped her wine.

Breaking News flash from Terra13:The news reporter comes on and begins speaking. "Ladies and Gentlemen! We bring to you breaking news from the capital city of Corinth, where an explosion has rocked the municipal building that is home to the Mayor's Office. Reports from local police have been less than forthcoming but unconfirmed sources state that this was a terrorist attack. No group has come forward to take responsibility but there is an indication this may be the work of the TLF. We will bring you more information as it coems in. We now return you to your regular programming."

J was about to speak when the voice of the news reporter broke his attention. Turning towards the living room, J listened intently. Once the report was finished, J turned slowly and looked at Elea, his father-in-law and Alicia.
"Well, that puts a damper on things, doesn't it? Well, where were we? Aaah, yes, a name. Well, to be honest with you Alicia dear, I have to defer to my lovely wife on that one."
J sat there, thinking about the news report. He knew something was up. He had heard the sounds of the Vipers and Raptors flying overhead earlier and he could tell the Fleet was dispersing its planetary assets. This was no TLF attack and J knew it. What a time to be retired. Still, he had contacts at CMC HQ and he was going to find out what was going on.

Elea spoke as another blast rocked the city.
"What in the name of the gods?" She held him up in Gondawan fashion presenting the baby to family and friends, as was their oldest tradition.
"I present to you, our male child, born of Gondawan and royal ancestry, and named for the father of Queen Elea the First, Serin Jesira Kaun-Castorious. He will be from this day known also as S.J. Castorious"
As they celebrated and toasted the child, Elea's father fumbled with the ring in his hand.
"Let's have some more exciting news this evening, and hope the explosions have stopped, except for the ones in my heart right now." He stood up and approached Alicia bowing one knee and presenting her the ring.

Alicia watched, nervously and excitedly, as Elea's father dropped to one knee, presenting a ring to her. Taken aback, in her best Canceron drawl, she blushed.
"Why sir, I do believe you are proposing to me! Well, what can I possibly say except, YES!!!!"

Elea's father chuckled a bit, though nervously.
"You are right, but I must say this or this night will not be more perfect, though I hardly believe that could be possible."
"Alicia Grover, you have been a loyal friend to this family, a cherished help in all things that really matter, but far more than that ..." he stuttered and took a breath. "All of these things pale in comparison to what you've meant to me. I love you. I will always love you. Take this ring, and with it my heart for all eternity?"

Alicia felt her pulse racing, her breath heavy with each one she took. She had always been attracted, both physically and mentally, to Tirin, from the moment she stepped into the Kaun-Castorious family. The fact that this moment was finally taking place was the pinnacle of her life, a dream come true. She had no hesitations about this decision, regardless of the fact that she would have to return to the Battlestar Acheron soon, especially of there were some sort of military action taking place. None of that mattered to her, only the fact that she was to be betrothed to the man she loved, her true soul mate. Her only desire was that their love would be as strong and pure as the bond between Elea and J.
"My love, I will always be yours, on heart, soul, and mind. Words cannot express to you how happy I am!"
With that, Alicia extended her right hand, to accept Tirin's token of his love and affection for her, all the while gushing like a school girl from Gemenon, although she hailed from Canceron.
"My, my, my! What a setback of cubits this must have cost you! And so big and shiny too! Watch it, you're gonna spoil this simple girl."
With that said, Alicia embraced Tirin, engaging in what had to be the most perfect kiss of all time.....

J stood there, watching the exchange between his father-in-law and his soon to be mother-in-law, all the while keeping an ear tuned towards the television. He knew something was brewing and although this was a joyous time for the family, his Marine instincts couldn't keep him from finding out what was really happening. Looking over at Elea, he motioned to her he was going to make a call, pointing at the television as he did so.
Stepping into the front room, J walked to the foyer closet and grabbed his Marine tactical jacket, looking for his personal comm unit. Finding it, he punched in the frequency code to CMC HQ. After a few seconds, a voice answered.
"This is Major Castorious, I need to speak to Colonel Yolander please."
"Hold one, Sir."
J held the device to his right ear, waiting as the same lousy music was played. He swore it was the exact same music they used to play at Picon Fleet HQ.....

Elea was choked up, to say the least. A few tears rolled out of her eyes. Tears of happiness.
"I couldn't be happier for you both. You have a lot to talk about now ... Girls, lets go check in Sirin." The twins agreed putting their napkins down on the table and heading up the stairs for the baby's room.

Alicia watched as Elea and the twins went to check on the latest addition to the household. Turning to Tirin, she held him tightly against her. Smiling, she spoke softly to him.
"You know, before I have to get back to the Fleet, we really need to "finalize" this event, if you catch my drift there sweetie!"

Tirin smiled almost mischievously. With a firm hand he held her kissing her with all of his love flowing like the light waves of the three moons of Aquaria - his energy reaching from her head down to her toes.
"I would like to come with you my darling. I'm hoping the Captain of your vessel could do the ceremony for us, and that he might want a BattleStar Engineer taggin along."

J stood there, waiting for someone to pick up the other end of the line, since he had to listen to the same song over and over again, J couldn't help but notice the little exchanges between Alicia and Elea's father. J smiled to himself and wondered if either knew what they were really getting themselves into. J smiled wider when he realized that Commander Raynor of the Archeron had any idea what he was about to get himself into!.
Finally, someone answered the line.
"Marine Commanders office, Corporal Justin Case speaking, this is a secured line."
Corporal, this is Gen, er Major Castorious. Is Colonel Yolander there?"
"Sir, the Colonel is presently on her way to your location Sir. She departed about ten minutes ago Sir."
"Very well Corporal, I'll look for her arrival. Castorious out."
J stood there, impatient as always. Turning, he walked back into the house. Looking at Tirin, he smiled.
"Well dad, how about another glass of that wine?"
J was certain the man knew something was amiss.

Pulling up to the front of the large house, Colonel Yolander stepped out of the vehicle. She stood there, admiring the home. Seeing a figure standing near the doorway, she called out.
"Yoo hoo! Hello? Is Major Castorious here? I'm Colonel Yolander, from Colonial Marine HQ."
Jasmine walked up the steps leading to the front door, stopping when she saw who she was looking for.
"J, I wish I were here under better circumstances. I need to talk to you, in private if possible."

Elea watched carefully as the woman walked up the sidewalk. She opened the door then took the baby to the pool area to leave them to talk.
"It's just official business, Sirin. You'll get used to it," she whispered to her son as she rocked him gently in her arms.
