5 minutes of sleep...and now he was talking about helping. They were here to help a single person and yet now Samuel wanted to help someone else. Reaching into the pack beside him, he pulled out his energy smoothie as he sat up in the makeshift bed as he cut the top off of the can; "A piece of advice, don't have kids and I mean that to heart. You'll never have the energy for them," starting to eat the top of his drink, "and you'll never get enough rest." Slowly eating his drink, he was now going to push himself in an already hospitable environment just to help Liam with his project. He wasn't too worried about Victor since he was a kid that was much more mature than Samuel. Walking out into the cold, his sunglasses were directing him to the mountain even though he couldn't see anything through the blizzard. Straps from his shoulders and waist were pulling the sled which also was connected to the Colonel. With the SAR mostly pulling back to the mountain, he had seen the projected plans for 2 of the massive crafts. The artic was the gold rush with the amount of intact history here as opposed to elsewhere. Keeping his rifle in hand, he had his ice ax on him just to avoid the same thing that could Bravo off guard. Samuel was exhausted but determined to get to the safety of the mountain before his exhaustion set in. Seriously, what did he do to deserve this? Maybe telling everyone to frak off was too much? Or maybe someone with his experience needed to reign in the young Specialist. Watching the kid collapse in the snow forced him to toss the tent off the sled only to place the kid on it and now he was pulling him to the new base camp. The howling of the wind let him focus on his early days when he was under tutelage of Jason Chase. It wasn't a well kept secret that he was former SF though that training had created the Navy's elite. Maybe this was his opportunity to carry that on to Samuel since Kobol needed that sort of training to survive.

Listening to music through his earbuds, Liam continued to dig out the ship from the ice but unaware his tactical pad was detecting radiation as he dug deeper before the sound filled the room. Pulling his buds off, Liam saw he was getting a medium dose which meant he had minutes to get to the surface and that meant climbing. Starting up the ice wall, he could hear them unpacking the rope to help him with even the A.I keeping him thinking clearly. Scrambling up the rope, there had to be something radioactive down there as they threw the massive parachute over the hole. Turning to Chris as Liam started stripping down, he needed to get rid of those clothes and get decontaminated before his worst nightmare set in. Unwilling to discuss this with them, his A.I knew the amount of stress he felt and worked on finding out if he was even exposed. Watching Tom collect the collect the contaminated clothes and tossed it aside with Jason tossing him a pack containing a fresh uniform. All this radiation confirms on the surface that maybe the other tribes wanted the power that the 13th tribe had. Taking a seat on the hood, Jason pulled off his gloves as he turned to Liam; "Being senior officer here, we shouldn't risk staying till those teams are on the ground and decontamination can begin." Jason was both the senior officer in the entire military and a voice of reason that they needed as he watched the Picon pack up. Dropping down from the hood, he patted the Picon on the shoulder; "Slow down we've got to wait on Delta...maybe they have a solution to our current situation."

Moving out of the way of the sled, Samuel helped the old man down as they connected with the others; "Delta is here so where is your issues?" Grabbing the bag containing the hazmat suit, he had the brazine salt that can dampen the radiation and maybe lower to a safe level. Keeping his rifle on his back, he carried the bag with the pack of sand in either hand. Carefully walking to the airlock, the only tradeoff with the suit is that he wouldn't be too warm as he placed the salt in the airlock before closing his end.

Reaching the airlock, he pulled the salt through followed by zipping up their end with the airlock on standby. Watching Tom connect the decontamination system, Liam stood beside the airlock as he tapped his earbud; "I would say keep your eyes open for any documents but seal any damaged pipes or even find the cause while we move the airlock." Watching Samuel only nod, they began setting out repair kits to place into a pack for him to easily carry. Repair paint, steel straps and even a carbon forged wrench to close any pipes the traditional way but Samuel would only have half an hour.

Connecting the hoses to the single tank he had, he had two hours of oxygen and had pack anti-radiation meds encase his suit got torn. Stepping into the airlock, Samuel zipped up the otherside as the system sprayed decontamination spray on him. Keeping a live channel, he kept a camera on his chest with his radio constantly on; "See you guys soon." Starting down the stairs with the pack on his back and the salt in his hands to sprinkle ahead of him. Reaching the bottom as his boots stepped into a few inches of water, dropping the pack as he tossed glow sticks to light up the place; "Looks like a command center but water is below but won't be able to access it but let's see if I can boot up something." Moving a skeleton aside, Samuel carefully wired his tactical pad to the analog console to see warning lights. Hoping for some kind of connection, he could see that the reactor had definitely been breached at one point but there had to be more. Speaking softly to them, he saw that he was reaching dangerous levels of radiation; "Headed back out but the cold has helped us by freezing the runaway reactor but we need to get out of here," leaving the pack behind as he returned to the airlock. He knew once he made it back that he would need to take double the dose of radiation meds to stave off the effects.

Waking up to a flight officer, Lucius headed up to the 8 person cockpit at the top of the ship with the pilot waiting for him. The single corridor was plain with hammocks hanging in place and foot lockers built into the wall. Leaning against the doorway, Lucius was still waking up as he spoke up; "What's going on?"
Speaking up, the pilot depolarized the glass to bring up the proposed landing site; "So, telemetry says this is going to be a rocky landing since no glacier is smooth so I suggest bracing."
Heading back down, Lucius only hoped that the other ships didn't face the same issue. Issuing an alert, Lucius dropped down to his truck as the lights dimmed to red as the alarms went off concerning the landing gear being lowered into place. As the Mammoth lowered its altitude, they could feel the turbulence as the massive ship touched down onto the ice and immediately reverse thrusted to slow down before coming to a stop.
Ordering the bigger trucks to disembark, Lucius knew it would be a while till they contact the SAR team.

Helping the kid into the airlock, John knew he was putting himself at risk but right now it didn't matter since Samuel was already puking from the excessive amount of radiation. Helping him inject the radiation meds into him, he zipped up the airlock as he turned to Liam; "Check the sled but I need anything that will prolong the effects of radiation and activate the beacon we're going to need proper help soon." Taking a seat on the ice, he watched Samuel remove his helmet as he whispered to him; "A rocket on top of a reactor...this could've been originally home to the 13th tribe."

Flipping the beacon on with a return signal coming on, this could only mean that their backup has arrived and would be here shortly. Feeling a bit weak himself, Chris worked on packing up before falling to the ground as he peered over his tactical pad to see the meter going off. Since the dig earlier, they all have been eradicated and the effects were taking shape. He typed in a simple message as he watched Jason fall from the truck with his face flush from color: Hurry. Collapsing with his breathes fading, Liam and Tom wasn't too far behind John and Samuel isolated even from them and safe from the outside. As long as the decontamination system kept going, their radiation count was going down...

"Maybe," tapping the camera to download to his tactical pad, rewinding to the console as Samuel looked over it; "the scripture says the 13th tribe left over a disagreement. We have an EM field that we can't explain, a bunker that held a doctor's experiments and water that acts like coolant...I honestly want to know the tipping point but someone removed that cover so those people died from radiation poisoning." Watching everyone collapse, Samuel knew the reasoning but even from his position couldn't see Tom.

Doctor Bishop
Entering the tunnel in hazmat suits and broken down pods to transport both living and dead out. Even this far out, the radiation levels were low and soon came across Jason who had crawled across the ice. Soon placing him into a pod, two soldiers carried him out to the awaiting truck which would take them to the medical research base nearby. Acute radiation but Bishop knew the rest of them would need through medical care since the Terrans knew the best radiation treatments from their own trial and error period.
Soon setting up an airlock, they began changing into more protective gear while the Marines decontaminated the interior space. It had became clear that there must've been a spill and just like their team; curiosity kills slowly.
Entering into the contaminated area, they let the drone travel ahead with it soon running into Tom who was sitting against the wall and lucid. Getting the Marines to get him in a pod, the man appeared to be a ghost as they did a quick test only to discover his A.I was protecting his mind from the effects.

Doctor Bishop
Taking radiation meds, Bishop looked over the protective camera on the drone as it approached the main cavern. Smiling, he was shocked to see Samuel and John in an airlock which was good since they could easily move them out of the area. Having the operator connect a hook to them, Bishop's team began suiting up and preparing themselves for the possibility of carrying the rest of them out.
Heading out, Bishop went for his medical bag which was filled with cocktails that would wake up Liam and the Picon. Salt had been sprayed to lower the radiation levels with a team of Marines ahead offloading the truck to get everything decontaminated for use. Watching the portable airlock move past them, the airlock would connect to the existing ones but it was likely they would have to wash them down at the research station.
Placing the plastic dome over the rocket hole that would temporarily hold back the radioactive particles. Injecting the two men, Bishop knew they would have to use synthetic blood to deal with the internal issues. Placing them both in the capsules, they began moving out while other crews began to stabilize the environment to gain access to the control room and further down.

Reaching the research station, Rebecca past the cargo trucks and Jeeps before entering the airlock which cleaned the snow off with compressed air. Changing into a hazmat suit, she stepped into the medical ward which had just about every member of the SAR team except for 3 members. Each were covered in plastic compression suit that pushed ointment into the skin with IV bags filled with agents to counter the radiation. Liam and Tom had synthetic blood on hand to aid in the healing process.
Walking over to the other airlock, she changed out of the hazmat suit and into the main station where Jason, Samuel and John were sitting up in beds with a gantlet on their arm. The gantlet allows mobility and delivers the drugs needed to get the patient well again. Leaning against a spare bed, she was a bit surprised considering her correspondence with John always mentioned how childish Samuel was; "So the kid rescued you?"

Surprised by her, Samuel had sprained his ankle while getting into the airlock earlier with the doctor now putting him on crutches. Walking around, it could be his pure defiance or something to do with his trainer who wasn't one to follow orders too often. Speaking up, he carried a bottle of water with him; "Sometimes it's best to prepare for everything instead of just the underlining mission." Taking a seat, Samuel got lucky since the suit and radiation meds saved him from exposure but he knew the others were bad. Talks were to move them back to the mainland since it cost too much to bring everything out here.

Watching while Samuel walked around the room, the kid saved his life but there was so much more here. Patting Jason on the shoulder as he got up from the bed to put on his black leather jacket; "Yeah, I'm thinking of recommending him for the officer's test. Doc, is pushing for light duty but we're in the artic so we'll see." All of his old clothes were taken away leaving him only civilian clothes which had a higher level of comfort than the uniform. Clipping on his new holster, he had liked the new design since it was more Colonial and less Terran SF design. Maybe accepting new idea and designs is a way the Terrans can find a new idea maybe stop calling themselves after their old home; "Lucius is here?"

Taking a seat on his bed, Jason found it odd that the SFs had openly exchanged their gear with non members but maybe things change. The new list of Generals are all former officers of the SF except for Kodiak; that old bastard was his former boss back on Terra before he left the SFs before the war. Much like Kodiak, he was against A.I augmented troops since short of being new these troops would be heartless to an extent...now he was surrounded by them. Being augmented, these SFs have an A.I keeping them alert and even manipulating their bodies to resist the environment. His misconceptions were not founded especially given that the Specialist acted quicker than he could in his prime.
Picking up his well insulated leather jacket with his old SF and Navy patches but his Rangers were a concept that have a few members. Gabriel and himself are the only members for now but General Thrax wanted to erase the SF memory with these Rangers and he was up for it. Handing the kid a crutch with his jacket, Jason spoke softly as he too got dressed; "Come on, kid, maybe i can still train you to be a Ranger and maybe put those skills to use."
