Sitting up in bed, he placed his hand against his temple as he went through his new memories as if it was a movie playing in front of him. There was a difference between war and murder, well, for Bones it was nothing more than words for the Taurons he killed...now he was seeing how far he went. She wanted him to rest and he couldn't, the flood gate was open and just pouring out blood. Whispering, he started disconnecting from the monitors in a rush while moving to the edge of the bed; "I gotta go. I can't stay here...I can't...I can't..." Stepping onto the floor, he fell to his ass before sitting against the wall...he was seeing him kill old friends. Bones knew the only way to hurt them was hide something that he knew Michael was actively seeking and he found it. Frustrated, Michael had been looking for her using extensive research and listening to Samantha but Bones was sabotaging him. Undoing his bandages, Bones met her with someone who was hiding themself from Bones; "I want to go outside...its...its getting too hot in here," pulling off his shirt to get rid of some heat he was building up. She wasn’t quick enough to stop him from getting out of bed, only to fall to the floor, inadvertently causing her to push the call button. It was too soon, but there was no getting through to him. Whatever was going on in his head, whatever he was remembering, was taking over despite what she said. For a moment, Sam wondered if somewhere deep down Bones was still there, buried in like a disease. He’d always found ways to torment her, but keeping such a secret was cruel, and she could only imagine what it was doing to Michael now. Waiting a moment, she slowly approached him to kneel down and look in his eyes. ”Look at me,” whispering, she reached out to hold his face in the palms of her hand, his skin hot to the touch. She knew it could mean fever, or infection, or Gods knew what else. She wanted to curse him in that moment but couldn’t. ”You’re not the one who did all of those things, you know that. You’re not him. Bones was a coward. You’re a good man.”

Doctor Bishop
Hearing the call button, the doctor rushed in while the nurses wondered why they were receiving no signal from the monitors. Opening the door, he examined the room only to see them on the ground with Mr. Martin holding his bandages and hot to the touch. Asking a nurse to prepare the cold tub for them, he helped him to his feet and realized he was well over 103 and climbing; "Mrs. Martin, we're going down one floor to the cold room. It'll drop his core temperature but it's likely he got an infection from the bunker."
Taking him down the elevator, they walked over to a stone tub filled with ice and water. Slowly lowering him into the icy water while connecting an IV to his arm with an antibiotic. Turning to Samantha, the nurses placed a cover over the top to keep the body insulated; "We'll be back in a few hours but the room will stay at a constant 70°."

After everything he’d done to them both, it wouldn’t come as much of a shock if he somehow managed to endure. But if Michael insisted that he was gone, she would believe it. If she had been in his position, she wasn’t sure that she’d be able to keep it all in, or live with something controlling her. Speaking to the nurse briefly, she waited until Michael had gotten settled before walking over to the cold tub. ”I don’t expect you to forget everything that happened. I just want you to know that you’re not alone in this.”For the longest time, she had wasted hours wondering who she truly was with. Bones was too good at manipulating her, enough to make her believe he was her husband at times. ”I see you. I see the only person I love and want this life with. Nothing else, not him...” It hadn’t escaped her mind that something life altering had been kept from her, but she knew she’d only made his panic worse by pushing too much at once.

Stay here on Kobol, a place that was slowly changing but far from safe or back on board the Battlestar that is safe at times. The ice bath reminded him of a similar one he had when he landed on this rock. Settling into the bath, he whispered as he closed his eyes recalling his dreams since landing; "Every night it's the same dream, us and a little girl. Same thing everytime and I see you happy day in and day out. I hated coming here without you..." slowly drifting asleep in the tub as his fever dropped.

Jonathan was far from a person like Michael who said those three words but he didn't want her to leave. She may have scouted for a while but he had been on the menu and some rest was useful. Thinking, he had a few sites in mind but the Basestar would be risky since the EM field affects electronics and their A.I but that left two other sites. Whispering, Jonathan wondered if they left Site B functioning; "Site B. There is some kind of super computer in the frigid water and it's off the grid." Issac would have a head start but he knew the site, traveling without an injury was hard but he had to work around it. Kissing her, he whispered to her to ease her nerves; "I'll be at your side this time," resting a hand on her hip. She knew less about the A.I.’s and off grid sites and bunkers than anyone else on Kobol, having spent the majority of her time scouting the land and it’s wildlife, but that didn’t mean she wanted the Butcher getting his hands on anything else that could cause more damage. ”If it gets too dangerous, we should get out. I want him to pay, but not at the cost of losing you...” He had already almost died once, and they both knew the second they caught up to Issac, nothing would stop him from trying it again. Leaning closer, she softly kissed him, not wanting to pull away. After searching for months, this hadn’t been where she would have expected them to end up. After it was all over, they had nothing to go back to. There was no Terra, and ship life seemed more like being caged. ”There’s still so much of Kobol to see. If neither of us end up back in a bed, we can see it. Together. Unless you want to stay cooped up in this base,” she smirked, resting her head against him.

They’d talked about their own children before that, with her always hoping it would become more of a reality than a dream. But when things were good, it usually always meant that something bad would follow. ”I’ll be there when you wake up,” she whispered, wiping tears from the corners of her eyes. There was nothing she could do, other than wait as she’d done before. Walking over to Doctor Bishop, she composed herself enough to get a few words out. ”Please inform me if anything happens. I...I need a moment.” With on a nod after, Sam quickly strode out towards the elevator, moving up to the top floor and out of the base. She was glad in that moment that it was dark outside and she was alone. No one would see the tears streaming down as she finally broke down. Almost losing him again, her daughter, lie after lie from Bones. It was all too much at once, after building for so long.

Kissing her forehead, he held onto her as he whispered to her, feeling her ease up; "I'd rather see Kobol than get stuck here but as long as I end up beside you then you're the best thing here." Grasping the thin black blanket as he threw it over them, he knew how cold it was on Kobol but the base seemed to be cold as well.

Getting him out of the water, the nurses dried him off before taking him back to the room. Updating his charts, he had them give him the antiviral against the known Kobol viruses. Giving him a clear date of tomorrow, the Doctor headed out to the Commander outside the base. Pulling out his vaporizer, Bishop stood beside her as he took a hit; "He's still asleep but no sign of infection and fever but we updated his charts. He'll be ready to leave in the morning," tucking the vaporizer in his jacket, "he'll have some issues but we'll deal with those when it comes up."

Walking down to Michael's room, Lucius carried a relic that had meaning for all Terran soldiers and a letter than he spent some time writing out. Entering the room with the nurses, he laid down a masterfully carved wooden sword with his ranks embedded into the handle at the foot of his bed. Setting down a letter under it, Lucius knew Michael had done a lot for Terra and his family:
To Colonel Michael Martin, You've done a lot for the service of Terra and even for Kobol, a home in which we have been entrusted to, for that I'm releasing you from the military. Your obligations are not to us but to you and your family where they shall remain. Under Terran Military Law, we'll be giving you a home and when the opportunity presents itself you'll be given 10 acres. Your pension will be paid as well as your expenses. Kobol was always meant as a fresh start and you'll be the first to start anew. Its been an honor and hope your recovery is swift. General Lucius White; SF Command
Patting the bed, he started out as he unbuttoned his jacket as he headed back towards his office.

Grasping the thin black blanket as he threw it over them, he knew how cold it was on Kobol but the base seemed to be cold as well. She knew well enough the toll losing friends and teammates took. Eva had lived with it for so long, blaming herself for everyone she’d ever lost; making the worst decisions and being reckless, before finally deciding to turn her life around and do more good than harm, not only for her old squad, but for those she cared about now. She prayed that he would be fortunate enough not to lose another soul to the Butcher. When it was all over with, they would all have to learn to adjust to a new life on Kobol. ”I’m exactly where I want to be, and I don’t plan on leaving without you this time. This is our home now, and we’ll protect it together, from whatever may come.”Smiling, she snuck a quick kiss, eyes heavy with sleep. It hadn’t taken long for her to warm up next to him, only to drift off to sleep soon after.

Parts of the wilderness were too dangerous, but being crammed into this place felt like a trip to Caprica. It meant more time to search for answers, though it felt like being caged. ”I should have never mentioned Bones to him before. It might not have gone so badly if it hadn’t sparked his memory.” It would have been easier if he hadn’t remembered the A.I. at all, even if it meant giving up the information she’d gained from it. In a way, she blamed herself all over again. Sam knew people had kept things from her, but it also came at his expense. And when Bishop spoke of issues, she could only assume the worst yet hope for the best. ”Thank you, Doctor. I’ll do everything I can. I just hope he’ll be able to do the same.”

I've put him on suppressants for now which will limit the amount of memories he's experiencing and he'll be advised to take them for a while." Taking a hit from his vaporizer, he noticed the horizon just over the ocean as he spoke once more; "Military is providing quarters in the new residential block by the ocean. The only reason I'm releasing him is I've got limited beds and four new patients flying in. Maybe, some fresh air for Mr. Martin might be useful but our doors are always open," starting his walk back into the hospital as the base started to wake up.

Reports from all across the Cascade Mountains were coming in and painted the picture of six sonic booms that affected the surrounding area. Sonic booms affected the ancient ruins which a lot of teams were using for cover. This could be a primitive attack from the Cylons which had Jack and Lucius worried.
Taking another stim, Jack finished suiting up as he sent a request to the nearby outpost for several horses. Taking another truck would just leave it out there but with the discovery of horses were quite useful. Picking up secure radio gear, Jack turned to Lucius as he finished filling his pack; "Put everyone on a heightened state of alert till I can figure this out."

Nodding, Lucius knew it would take time to equip the missile pods to the Raptors and bombs to all aircraft; "Make visual, access numbers and once possible give your coordinates and I'll have enough bombs there to level the area," passing down the orders for everyone to move to level two. Browsing the available teams, they had one team on the base but most of them were injured; "I'm sure Colonel November would be open to helping you."
