Landing onto the Cerberus as he received a report from MayDay, he wondered if Michael had a plan, landing as he started up to the CIC with Jonathan beside him; "The X-2 was ordered to leave and Michael said he would find his own way out," stepping into the CIC as he felt fire coming in from raiders and even Destroyers that were in orbit. Picking up a tablet, he listened to Michael's radio as the man cursed and yelled while taking down Centurions as he tried to contact him; "Sounds like he's in a jamming field."

Listening till the radio went out, he knew it was a trap and even more that the Cylons now had their Commander even more Sam's husband as he turned to her; "We need to get out of here now," he wasn't much for space battles but those satellites and Destroyers were tearing into the hull, "we've got assets on Tauron that we can reach out to after all rumors are the HaLaTha are retaking some territory with help from General Tyson but we need to get leave," sparks sprayed down onto them as they got tons of shells exploding onto the ships' armor. Bracing, he gave a nod to Daniel who was preparing crews to jump the ship, bringing in the pods as the last of the raptors landed inside the ship while the X-2 began its trip back to Caprica since it was too big to land in the pod.

She didn't want to leave. If anything, Sam wanted nothing more than to take a ship down and put a bullet into anyone that she saw. "We can't leave him." She hardly flinched as sparks began to fly again and the ship shook violently, the anger was easy to see on her face. If they had listened, this might not have happened. But one thing was certain, that when they found whoever was responsible, she would make sure it never happened again, that she would end whoever took Michael.
Feeling the ship shake again, and with the alarms going off, Sam turned to those that were preparing the jump, now that all of their birds were accounted for. "Gods dammit ... do it now, jump this frakking ship now." She yelled in frustration, bringing her fist down onto the command table with force, as the Cerberus soon disappeared from Virgon's airspace.

Tom didn't like the idea either but they had options on the table and now it was time to use some of them, jumping away as they re-entered orbit of Caprica, noticing Jack walking away with Jonathan as he stepped forward; "I can get the X-2 ready to head to Tauron, we have assets on the ground that can help and even HaLaTha leaders that know how to get in the city," walking over to her as he placed his hand on her shoulder, "we'll find out who did this but he's probably being moved to Tauron. Harperson wants to make an example, killing him in public would do that," he ordered Daniel to park the ship onto the surface to keep from being spotted from any Cylon patrols as he slid over the ranks of Commander; "this ship needs a Commander. I'm only a soldier and Daniel is only a ship captain we need the experience after all we did this blind and paid, we're not going in blind no more and its time we take you back home," home had value to all of them and his home wasn't safe till the Colonies were free again.

Sam was already making her way out of the CIC, motioning for Tom to follow. "Fine, we'll take the X-2 and leave as soon as possible. Jack can handle the meeting with the Admiral in my absence." She knew she hadn't been much of an XO lately, and only hoped her own crew would understand. There would be enough to explain when this was all over. Turning the corner, she continued down the corridor to head to the hangar. "I want to meet with this General Tyson, Jonathan said he was on Tauron. We will need the assistance if we want to make it out of this, and I'm not allowing them to kill him. I will die before I let that happen." The Colonel was anger that they had taken Michael back to Tauron of all places, somewhere that wouldn't feel much like home anymore. Not with Harperson and his influence tainting the planet and everything there.

Walking with the Colonel, he pulled out his tactical pad as he brought up a note; "We were supposed to supply arms to the resistance so I can send a message to Joseph Marco, for the most part he's running the resistance which probably know about Michael by now," sending orders for an armory team to meet them in the hanger, "we'll be spotted in military uniforms, we need to blend in but Joseph now knows we're coming," he understood her anger as he took off his jacket and flipped off his tactical pad. Handing it over to a merc, he stopped for a second to change pants into cargo and put a baggy shirt on with a large overcoat before taking a pistol off of the merc; "let's hope we don't lose you both after all, I know you don't like home but right now, it could change this war might even end the Civil War that we're in."

James was hoping for some leave time on Caprica but that was soon scratched out as personnel began loading weapons and gear onto his ship, giving him orders for a cold drop on Tauron which was going to be hard with the mines and satellites. Having the X-2 run through possible jump coordinates, he worked on the stealth systems which would cover up the ship from Dradis but not from visual inspection which meant he could only hope no fighters got too close to the ship. Strapping on a holster, he grabbed a pistol as he walked past the Colonel and the Major; "She's ready to go but its going to be a bumpy ride," signing off on a tablet for his fuel and munitions as he turned to Sam, "this ship can't fight raiders but I can help after all your husband's brother took a chance with me and well didn't like leaving him behind."

The raptor landed on the deck as he ran off of the raptor and over to Tom and Sam with Evia in tow, talking while he took a few breaths; "Captain Jonathan Harperson and Evanna Matthews volunteering for the rescue op," noticing a nod from Tom who was assisting the Colonel. Taking a deep breath, he moved past them as he stepped through the airlock and onto the X-2; taking a seat as he grabbed a suppressor to attach to his pistol before glancing over at James; "Keep a medical pack on standby, we might need it, its better to be safe than sorry."

Grabbing a light jacket, Sam slipped it on before tucking her pistol away. She gave a brief nod to Jonathan and Evanna when they finally joined them on the ship. Stepping onto the X-2, she took a seat and strapped in, looking over to their pilot. "Just try not to crash us. We're going to have enough to focus on as it is." A small smirk pulled at her lips. The Colonel had never been a big fan of flying, but she knew he would at least get them there in one piece, and then it would be up to them once their boots hit the ground. She could only hope that it wasn't already too late, and that the others would be in place when they arrived.
Looking over to the others and Tom, and seeing that everyone was on board and ready to go, she gave Mayday the thumbs up to take them to Tauron.

Landing onto the ship, the Civilian pilots had landed with Vipers and raptors knowing that in the Cerberus they were going to get ships that were better than their previous and they weren't going to get previous training since no one knew how to fly these aircraft. Watching the mercenaries pull out different flight suits made just for the XF-4's, they knew there wasn't launching pads for them and that they would be taking off from the twin decks; it was all an experiment at war. The hundreds of civilians that were guarding Caprica were now on the Cerberus to provide a defense for the rebels on Tauron, feeling the ship starting up as it lifted off of the ground to prepare to leave Caprica.

Receiving the word from the Commander, Daniel pulled up the holographic map and began having the guns focus on the larger ship-to-ship batteries which would tear into the Cerberus if the ship took off anytime soon. Having the missiles loaded, the XF pilots began reporting in as they engaged both Terran raiders and Cylon raiders that were coming down from the orbital satellites; loading up the AA guns as the raiders started probing the airport. Opening fire, they sprayed rounds to turn the raiders around as the crew prepared for take off since the guns could only do so much while they were on the ground; sending a message to the troops on the ground that they were on the move.

Communication from Terra was gone. Daniel sat in the observation lounge on the Cerberus as construction on Caprica City continued especially with the new spaceport. Once the spaceport was up then the defenses would be up and their presence would be else where...maybe start the hunt for Colonel Shepard after all he was the highest ranking officer left in the Colonies. Daniel sent mercenaries to track him down but he's managed to disappear completely and left no footprints.
Getting up from his comfortable chair, he walked up to a monitor where he called to the CIC; "Any answers to our pings?"
The young officer answered back as he fixed his jacket, 'No response, we're attempting a long range hack that should get some attention.'

Carlie entered the Council Chambers, scanning the room for specific faces. Of course, everyone was here. The news outlets and other media types were there as well. This would be broadcast to the entire planet and to all the Stations, settlements, depots and anything else that had humans in attendance. The time was now to make the official announcement and to begin the evacuation of the planet and system. As she walked towards the front of the Chambers, she smiled and nodded to those near the aisle, waving to others. She hated this part of the job. Actually, she hated the job itself but thanks to J Castorious, she had been given no other choice but to accept the reigns of power. Smiling at the Speaker of the Council, Josephine Goodall, Carlie stepped to the podium. Gesturing for the room to become quiet, she waited a few seconds before speaking.
"My fellow citizens, I speak to you today about a grave matter, one which by now most, if not all, of you are aware of in some manner or form. Several months ago, a supernova was detected some 40 to 50 light years away from here. The effects, the radiation, was detected about 30 light years from our system, which means the wave of the supernova is already on its way through the galaxy. Since there are so many variables and factors that will define the strength of the radiation before it arrives, we must take prudent, severe measures, to ensure the survival of our civilization. Preparations have been underway since the discovery of the supernova to, well, make certain our society and way of life continue. Those preparations include the launching of several missions to find a suitable new home for our people."
Carlie paused for a moment and took a sip of water from the glass in front of her.
"Ships, loaded with supplies, equipment, and personnel have been dispatched to several locations already known to us. Although it has been decided on one location to serve as our new home world, a few other locations will still be utilized as well. It has been decided that we will concentrate our efforts on settling on Kobol."
Carlie stopped. She looked at the expressions on the faces of those in attendance. Terrans, Colonials, Gondawans, Federalists, Nationalists, every sect and party and group on the planet had their representatives here. For just a second or two, there was a hushed calm. Then the shouts began. Carlie held her right hand up and the room quieted.
"We have held many, many discussions regarding this matter, every party and group was represented. The decision, while ultimately mine, was agreed upon by everyone. Unanimously. Now, we know not everyone will wish to leave, that there will be many who will want to take their chances. They will be given that right, the same as anyone who wishes to go to one of two other locations. Those locations are Avalon, the very well kept secret location known as the Alpha Site and of course, New Caprica. The decision to not return to the Colonies of Kobol was stressed by the Colonial delegates. Too much time has elapsed back on the 12 Colonies, so much that any sudden return or arrival of not just Colonial citizens but Terrans as well would cause a political and most likely military situation that would not benefit anyone involved. We have ships heading towards Kobol as we speak, and there are ships heading to Avalon and New Caprica as well. Since we have a total population not just here on Terra but throughout the Fleet and the solar system of a little over 3 billion souls, the logistics are very daunting."
Taking another sip of water, Carlie continued.
"We are fortunate to have at our disposal the Drex Star, which as I speak, is being fitted to accommodate 1 billion stasis pods, which are also being constructed at several sites across the planet. There is also a ship that belongs to the Gondawans, hidden all these two thousand plus years on Terras smaller moon and which was just recently discovered by the Fleet last year. The ship already has stasis pods on board so they are being duplicated, which is why we are able to construct them so quickly. Within a year, the Drex Star will be ready to begin the boarding process. As for those wishing to go elsewhere, ships are available and being assigned to that purpose solely and will begin departing as soon as supplies and assigned personnel are loaded. I want to make this abundantly clear to EVERYONE, no person or group will be left behind that does not wish to remain here. Ships Captains and shipping companies will be fairly compensated by the government. There will be no profiteering taking place. Anyone or any company discovered doing so shall pay a very stiff penalty. You will lose your ships, crews and assets, immediately. There will be no graft taking place either. Accept a bribe, you will be left behind, on the surface. I promise you this. I wish to cut this announcement short. There will be more information to follow within a few days. Thank you."
Carlie hurriedly left the podium and exited stage left, escorted by her security detail and staff. She still had a meeting with the head of TerraBankCorp and of course, the Judge. She could hardly wait.
