Issuing an alert before cutting the engines, he brought the pods in to streamline the ship but knew with only the computers running now that it was going to get cold and quick; issuing all personnel to larger rooms and keeping personnel out of the corridors so they could conserve heat after all it was going to get cold. Grabbing his tablet, the heat and the cold were going to be problems for long term missions so this had to be fixed as well adding a chain of command to access cards since right now any access card can open any part of the ship. 3 hours without engines drifting thousands of kilometers from their inertia and their course was locked in, only needing to fire thrusters to slow down and dock or adjust course which wouldn't affect at all.

Laughing, he caught her as he whispered to her between kisses; "Well we'll get there when it happens right now I'm planning a lot," smiling as he bit onto her neck while sliding her up the table; tossing her boots aside with his own. Climbing up on the table, he moved one hand down to undo her pants before kissing his way up her jaw bone as he whispered; "Now I hope its not too chilly," laughing as he kissed her once more to keep her attention on him as he pressed a button to flip off the lights the rest of the way with only the light from the tactical pad lighting up the room. If anyone told him that he would be hooking up with a beauty like Evia he wouldn't have believed them but with his life turning around for the best and now having Evia close by, he could care less if anyone caught them considering that door would be shut once more even he wasn't part of the crew he only aided in recovering the ship. 3 hours later...An announcement woke Jonathan up, it was Daniel alerting everyone that he was flipping off the engines thus closing the pods and allowing the ship to drift into dock which meant it was going to get colder. Didn't bother him after all, sharing body heat with Evia wasn't too bad though he had marks on his arms and back where she was sharing some heat as well; kissing her on top of her head as he put his arm back around her. Jonathan had cold survival training and knew being in here with her and sharing heat was important after all space is much colder; though none of it mattered right now considering there was nothing he could do about it. For the last hour and half, it was laughter and them getting to know each other more than what the bottle could do and in the chaos of clothes he couldn't find his tactical pad or anything else which meant for the next 3 or 4 hours they are going to be drifting towards the docks. Evie woke up to the sound of a voice blaring throughout the ship, though she paid it little attention. Her head was pounding, but she opened her eyes to see that they had found their way from the floor to a bunk at some point, and that brought a small smirk to her face. She couldn't be sure what was going on between them, if it even meant anything to either, but she really didn't care at the moment. There was nothing they could do for the next few hours, and then after that, she knew less of their plans. Stretching a bit, Evie propped up on her elbow and leaned over closer to Jonathan, brushing her lips against his for a small kiss. "Maybe when all of this is over, you can get that rematch." A playful smirk played on her lips, glancing down to the small marks across his skin. She wasn't sure where they would be when this was all over, but staying close to him didn't seem so bad.

Kissing her back as he laid off to his side, placing his hand on her hip as he whispered back; "Maybe we can do it at my place after all I've got tons of back pay and last time we were on Terra I privately bought an apartment," rolling her over onto her back as he moved his hand to lower tummy. Moving her hair out of her face, he wasn't going for anything soft after all everything in his life fought back so why not her as he noticed a scar over his old SF tattoo; "We have 3 hours till we dock so can you think of anything," smiling as he kissed her once more as he kissed her once more. His tattoo was a relic of the past that he's going to replace when he goes on R&R, the tattoo was simple with an A in the background with SF in front, he got it when he joined Michael's team; he was no longer an Alpha so he had to get rid of it or add more to it.

The smirk on her face widened when she leaned forward to capture his lips with hers again. "A lot can happen in three hours." She spoke in a teasing tone before squeezing out of his embrace, sitting up and moving to the edge of the bunk, covering herself as she moved. Part of Evie wasn't sure what she should've been doing, or whether or not to follow him along to Terra. Most of what she could remember about her life was bad, so why allow one good thing to happen? The idea of losing anything else bothered her, but at the same time, she was having more fun than she cared to admit, more fun than she'd seen in a long time, and Evanna wasn't quite ready to let that go. Clearing her throat, she spoke more softly this time. "But perhaps we should save the fun for later. I'm still in need of that shower, after all."

Moving past her, he picked up his tactical pad as he flipped on the lights as he read over the list that Daniel sent out; "This ship won't have water till we dock," sliding over the pad to her as he slipped on his pants. He knew she was rethinking all of this and well he was loving his time with her since it made up for the worst part which was being in prison and well considered dead for the longest time, taking a seat on the table as he glanced over at her; "I know what's going through your mind and for me, this is new, I've had a lot of bad shit in my life...fifteen years in prison and everyone knew me as a number, prisoner 07841, I had a number and not a name. The Spartan gangs knew I was once a soldier so they made an example on me, shanking me on multiple occasions and putting me in the prison hospital," feeling a tear roll down, "I protected AWOL soldiers that joined me in prison till the SFD emptied the prisons of AWOL soldiers and placed me in solitary. Five years in a cell barely large enough for me to sleep in and well I thought I was forgotten about," placing one hand on his forehead as he rubbed his skin.
Slipping on his shirt, he could feel how cold it was from all the sweating; "I don't want to push you away and the fun we had made me forget all the hell I've been through, we can do this slow, maybe some R&R on Terra and we don't have to stay at my place."

She paid little attention to the tactical pad. As much as a shower had been needed, she knew it could wait, it had only been a way of avoiding what she knew would happen. There was nothing to regret, yet something in the back of her mind had told her to run. Maybe some small part of her was still afraid to get close to anyone, no matter how much she could remember of the past. It was when she listened to him, his story, and saw a tear drop down that Evie began to feel regret for already trying to push him away. "I'm sorry," she began, sighing as she ran a hand through her hair.
"This is still kind of new to me. I've had more than enough go wrong in my life, I just..." She didn't want this to be another chapter of her life that went to hell, as nearly everything seemed to always do. Evie didn't want to be left behind again, whether it was from him or anyone else. Getting up from the bunk, she slipped her pants on before walking over to the table where he sat. She couldn't deny that their time spent together hadn't been enjoyable, that it had also made her forget some of the anger she'd felt before. Wrapping her arms around Jonathan's neck, Evanna managed a small, reassuring smile. "Never mind, forget I said anything. Forget about all of the hell, and think of something else. Something that makes you happy."

You take me away from all of this shit, I'm not a soldier around you and not going to leave you behind," kissing her on the forehead. He could feel the room getting colder as he pulled over the blanket to wrap around them, taking a deep breath as he saw his breath in the air; "What's your happiest moment, Evia, me breaking down doesn't count," laughing a little to raise her spirits.

She couldn't truly say that she believed his words, as everyone eventually always ended up leaving. Her mom had been the first, then her old man, and countless others that had become friends, all gone in some way. But then again, Evie had no reason not to trust him, at least for the moment. There was nowhere else for her to go, no one to really trust. Sticking around him seemed the best choice, maybe it would end up helping them both. "You know ... it's sad to say that I can't remember when I was happiest, or if there has ever been a moment of complete happiness." She let out a low sigh. Evie didn't want to bring him back down, and instead of continuing, she inched closer until her lips were touching his again. "Who knows, perhaps we can both end up with a few happy memories," she mumbled, smiling against his lips.

Bringing her a bit closer, he kissed her passionately as he whispered to her as he put his arm around her to comfort her; "For someone who didn't have any happy memories, you end up laughing quite a lot earlier," smiling as he kissed her once as he laid down on the cold steel table with the blanket underneath them. Moving the hair out of her face, he kept his lips on hers as he intertwined his free hand with hers; he's got a habit of keeping his promises that's one thing Michael hated when they were Alpha squad together. Pulling away only briefly as he took a deep breath, "I love you, Evia, when I say I'm not going to leave you it means I'm not going anywhere," kissing her once more; Jonathan squeezed her hand a bit for he knew this was right to him.

Getting a text from Michael with a simple word that they had established a long time ago, 'Omega Rising', starting the hard work on rewriting all the old protocols such as authorization, confirmation, encryption, communication, and new codes for the command staff. Calling over some Lieutenants, he began giving them tasks such as new firewall protocols, cyber warfare attack protocols and enhanced defenses especially for the A.I after all Gondawans had A.I's far longer than anyone else; in their ships and Centurions which were deadly but also locked away by Council of Three Generals. Evan as the air grew colder, the CIC was heating up as cables laid across the floor with laptops and even servers out to work on the present problem; this had to be done in three hours otherwise they couldn't keep this secret once the ship docked. They were writing new programming code since the old was compromised and it gave them the freedom to add new layers of encryption, the mercs gave them all water from their own personal stock; soon they got new reprogrammed tactical pads that could control the doors on the ship just by walking close to them which was better than key cards while the old tactical pads simple shut down.

She was in shock. His words had caught her off guard, and it left Evie speechless for what felt like forever. She could feel a lump in her throat when she tried to speak, and it took a moment before she was able to clear her head. "I...I don't think you should say something that don't mean." It was exactly what she was afraid might happen. It wasn't that Evanna was afraid to love someone. It had only surprised her, that was something she'd never expect to hear again, and deep down she feared that he wouldn't think the same of her once they knew more of each other. There were things that she could barely remember, but it was all written down in files and in arrest records, and if it hadn't been for her father taking pity and yanking her from prison, she would still be there, and she would be away from Jonathan. "I can't tell you what you want to hear...not yet. I'm sorry." Evie knew it wasn't the response he would want, and she could feel her face reddening from the embarrassment them.

Gulping a bit, he knew it would take time but it didn't bother him after all that's all he had, time to get everything in order and to complete the work he left all those years ago. Getting up, he felt the engines flip on which felt like a rumbling on the deck which meant they were minutes from docking; "I'll be here for when you want to say it," picking up his tactical pad as he slipped back on his watch as well with his vest, "we're docking which means this place will be a bit more active," slipping in his earpiece as he checked in with the CIC.
His tactical pad began to update with information on the ship as well as the newest Colony update which left him frozen as he read over it, turning to Evanna as he set his rifle down; "Caprica City was attacked an hour ago, the attack lasted 45 minutes and in that time we lost 10,000 men all of Charlie Company and around 1.9 million civilians," that had taken the heart out of him as he took a deep breath. He had remembered the details of both invasions and well this attack killed more than both of the previous attacks so this was precision that they've never seen especially since Caprica City was considered fortified. Getting up, he tucked in his undershirt before buttoning up his jacket and zipped up his vest before clipping his rifle to his vest; "Daniel has sent me a message about talking to me in the CIC, might be going to Caprica to search for Jack we don't know if he survived the attack," kissing her on the cheek before starting out of the room while putting on his holsters.

Starting docking procedure and within minutes they were docked and now started receiving water and fuel while the airlocks opened as well as the rear section so they could get the FTL installed quickly; everyone knows what's going on considering the update came in from the Navy. They were fighting against time, the report was an hour old, a report about an attack that killed more people in a short amount of time then they thought was possible and here Daniel had to make sure that everything was accounted for. Sending a message to Mayday to get the ship back here, he had to plot a course that would lead them in open space till the X-2 can scout the area and clear them for orbit; doing all the work that would take crews weeks to complete now had to take hours. Turning to Jonathan as he walked in, he ordered the CIC to be locked down so the engineering crews can focus on the problems with the ship and not be bothered with its mission; "Good to see you, I know you got the message so let's dive right in. The report we got from Delphi was a actions report which meant they could see the fight and they know from their teams that there are survivors but they won't know how many of our men survived or if Jack is amongst them either way we're going to Caprica City to search for survivors. We know the city has bunkers and we know some are linked to Delphi so once we get to Caprica, you and a small team will insert into what's left of Caprica City and search while we stay in orbit. We'll ferry teams down but if the reports are true then this is a kick in the balls, estimates are saying close to 2 million civilians died."
Pausing as images of before the attack began to pour in followed by the ones from after which showed the wall was all but gone with most of the buildings with some areas glassed and others still burning. Zooming out, he noticed 8 old siege tanks which appeared to be destroyed which meant those were before everything which meant it came in 2 waves and the first wave took out Caprica's radio with their Dradis as he turned to Jonathan once more; "We're not sure if Michael has been informed but we'll talk to the Independence they might want to send some people but your task is to find the primary database in Caprica City and setup a network so we can analyze this attack after all your father couldn't do this and if the Cylons did then its a tactic we've never seen."

Stepping into the CIC, Jonathan walked straight to the command table as he held onto his rifle before hearing Daniel talking to him which meant he wasn't a Captain anymore but more like a Major which was nice since he'd been a Captain for 2 decades. Taking a deep breath as he listened before speaking softly; "I'll have Evanna come with us she can aid us since we'll be searching the debris and everything else but I thought communication was every 3 days so why so soon for Delphi," pulling up the holographic map of the city and compared it to the new map, "we'll enter here, this section appears to be what's left of the wall and begin searching but we'll have raptors land on the exterior but for now I'll get my team on a raptor and to the Independence so we can meet up with Michael and the X-2 which should take 15 minutes plus our trip to the Colonies is 22 hours which puts us behind but even with the ship it'll take 18 hours. We'll send a data burst if orbit is clear and another when we're on the ground." Noticing Daniel nodding, he started out of the CIC and to the crew quarters to see if Evanna was ready to go; ordering 2 mercs to get to the raptor with all the gear they can pull together after all if there was survivors then they needed to take care of them without sacrificing their own gear.

Opening the airlock to see the mercs on the other side, he handed over his ID tag as the man turned to him to inform him that a team is being assembled to head to the Caprica to search for survivors and even Jack to figured out what happened. Walking down the hall, he noticed Jonathan walking towards him with two mercs behind him as he stopped him; "Me and Sam are ready to go, she's going to need gear but what's the plan," crossing his arms as he noticed the two mercs directing the Colonel to the nearest armory to suit up considering the X-2 could only carry so much gear and they would be on their own till the Cerberus' FTL was installed.
