Opening the airlock to see the mercs on the other side, he handed over his ID tag as the man turned to him to inform him that a team is being assembled to head to the Caprica to search for survivors and even Jack to figured out what happened. Walking down the hall, he noticed Jonathan walking towards him with two mercs behind him as he stopped him; "Me and Sam are ready to go, she's going to need gear but what's the plan," crossing his arms as he noticed the two mercs directing the Colonel to the nearest armory to suit up considering the X-2 could only carry so much gear and they would be on their own till the Cerberus' FTL was installed. Noticing the Commander, Jonathan stopped as he pulled out his tactical pad to link it with Michael's to upload the new security to it; "My men will get her up to speed after all I've gotta go get Evia, going to need her skills to help us out considering Daniel believes Centurions will still be on the ground and doesn't want to jump the ship in orbit in fears that then enemy might be waiting for us," starting down the hall with Michael beside him. Spotting the upload was done, he tucked it back into his vest as he spoke while they walked; "The city is leveled which now has the fear of the gods in us. The Division and Navy wants to know what happened, underground should be a computer archive of what happened hopefully its there and hopefully Jack and his men survived otherwise we're going to be pretty fraked. The X-2 is fueled up and awaiting us but Cerberus will have her FTL in 18 hours so we should be at Caprica by then," pausing as he reached the hatch, "be right back, sir." Stepping into the room, he locked the hatch behind him as he turned to Evia; "You wanted off the ship well we're being sent off of the ship. Cylons attacked Caprica City, the attack lasted one hour, we're being sent in to scout the remains to find survivors and what happened. As you keep stating you were once a vigilante so you'll be taking point," taking a deep breath as he took a seat on the table, "Michael is joining us on this operation and he's calling in everything, Jack Thrax is presumed dead, as well as 2 companies and 2 million people."

Grabbing one of the new rifles from a merc who handed it to him with a few magazines and a fresh pack, Michael stood outside as he heard running and talk on the radio; the entire Colonial fleet went back to the Colonies. Pounding on the door as he tapped his radio, "Colonial fleet is in the Colonies, if this is a frakkin trap the Admiral just sprung it," sending a text message to James to get the X-2 ready for departure as Daniel came over the radio, "We'll have our FTL in 12 hours at the latest but we're ready to go," tapping his radio to reply to Daniel, "jump clear of Caprica find a safe place in the Colonies and stay there, something tells me that the Cylons wanted that signal to go out which means we just triggered a chess board and we have no idea where all the pieces are at," putting on a black hat from his vest, knowing that they now had to covertly insert somewhere just where now.

Evie had been dressed and waiting, waiting to see if they truly had planned to go to Caprica. Her attention turned to the hatch when she saw it open and saw Jonathan step through. Hearing his words, she had to frown at the fact that he thought she wanted off of the ship. That hadn't been the case, no matter if what had happened between them earlier scared her a little. But she sighed and put it aside for the moment, standing from her seat near the table. When she heard the banging against the hatch soon after, she turned her attention to Jonathan. "I guess we have no time to waste, then." She leaned forward to place a small, gentle kiss against his lips before heading over to the hatch, hoping that at least some had survived on Caprica, and that they would actually make it back from this as well.

He knew he left the room wrong the first time as he kissed her back, whispering to her; "I rarely say it but didn't want to appear that I'm pushing you away," hearing the pounding on the door as he got up with her. He's only seen pictures of Caprica, it appeared to be a vibrant city before the Cylons wiped it out which felt like a tactic that was used once before but he couldn't remember where after all so many tactics were used in the early days of the war and they all seemed to blend together. Unlocking the hatch, he opened it up as he whispered to Michael; "If the Colonial fleet jumped there and if it is a trap then are we going there if so, I hope you got a plan cause Sam will kick your ass if you get hurt and," taking a deep breath, "and I'm not taking a bullet."

Pulling up a list of Colonies, he knew Caprica was a trap already and knew the tactic since they used it after a week into the war; "Tylon Yates Tactic, maximum destruction in a brief period causes the enemy to race the location to recover; Tom is likely on Caprica and they probably sprung the trap," taking a deep breath as he loaded up Picon, "Romo is likely here building an army unaware of what happened so we'll go there, move his army onto the ship and head to Caprica to reinforce them," he knew this was different then what everyone else had planned. Picon was a large planet but with the X-2, they could fly over the forests with the stealth drive on and land when they find them but Jonathan was right; he wasn't going to put himself in that type of situation after all he wanted to ask Sam something but this mission ruined that.

Having left the armory as quickly as she could, Sam strode down the corridor until she found Michael again, along with a few others. Setting her rifle down against the wall, she sighed and turned to Michael, a look of slight confusion on her face. "Did I hear that correctly? The entire fleet is already on Caprica?" She hadn't expected the Admiral to jump to the planet so quickly. But they didn't have the time to stand around and debate what would be best, they all knew that. Picking up her gear, she turned to start back down the corridor. "I assume everyone is ready now. We should get on the move." As badly as she'd wanted a break, she knew it would be a long time before that could ever happen.

As badly as she'd wanted a break, she knew it would be a long time before that could ever happen. Turning to Jonathan and Evanna as he started down the hall with Sam, "Come on, we have a ship to catch up and a battle that we're already late for," rolling up his sleeves as he turned to Sam, "are you ready for this? I mean I know what to expect down there," grabbing a sniper rifle off of a merc as he slung it over his pack. He wasn't expecting to go into battle so quickly and with some of his programming gone this would be his test as he typed a message to Daniel to get to Caprica as quickly as possible after all the Independence would need the help and Cerberus was one of the few ships not damaged from the previous battle. Stepping onto the hanger deck, he followed the mercs till he boarded the small ship where he set his weapons to the side before taking a seat in the back. Turning to Sam as he reached into his pack, "I had the Porter on Terra ship this up before the last invasion in fears it would get lost, this is what I should've given you some time ago and its something my father gave to my mother and well giving it to you." Pulling out the box as he handed her the ring, "Its almost a hundred years old and made from some rare stuff on Terra that actually cost a small fortune but my father left it to me," smiling as he thought over it, "he figured I'd be more likely to marry than Jack. My mother was a Senator on the Council, murdered, she believed in a peaceful Terra; a Terra with no SF's," pausing for he could remember the day she died, "she was murdered by her fellow Senators and soon they were killed by the SF's," strapping in before putting on his combat gloves which covered over his ring.

Gathering his gear, he turned to Evia as he motioned her it was time to get out of here, knowing that their task was the now Caprica City which was one large battlefield and they needed a tracker to navigate through it. Speaking to Evia as he grabbed her pack, "As soon as we land on Caprica, I'll follow you but we need to find those bunkers and secure them after all any survivors are going to be rebuilding the city," walking into the corridor as he called over two mercs who would be following them, "my first time off world and visiting a Colonial planet and it has to be under a state of war," shaking his head as they stepped into the hanger.
Stepping into the X-2, he looked down at the Commander as he secured their gear before looking down at the man and the ring; "Nice ring there but you shouldn't have for me," laughing as he took a seat and began strapping in while the mercs took a few seats and waited for Evia to get in before locking down the airlock. The doors locked down and the ship broke free as Jonathan downed a pill for space sickness, "Don't judge me, I'm not a fan of space travel," drinking it down as James began working on the calculations for the first jump while the A.I worked on every jump after that.

She was stunned, to say the least. Turning the ring over in her hand, Sam looked at it with tears forming in her eyes as he listened to Michael. Her wedding ring had always been the one thing she never took off, no matter how mad she'd gotten at him or whatever happened. And now, she would have something else to hold on to forever. "If you're trying to get on my good side again,. it's working." She smirked, leaning over to nudge him lightly. That smirk widened when she slipped the ring on her finger. It fit perfectly. "I am sorry about your mother. I hope she would have been happy about this, about us." She had lost her mother at a young age, so a part of her knew how it felt. It was sad that neither of them would have the chance to meet the others parents. She knew her father would've liked Michael.
"I know what to expect. Just not sure I'm ready for it." It wasn't because she was still recovering from the last mission. No, it was knowing that so many civilians had been killed that had Sam on edge. That always seemed to be the hardest part of their job. Knowing that so many families, children, were dead... Sighing, she strapped herself in, noticing that Jonathan and Evanna had done the same. "But the sooner we're there, the sooner I can kick Jack's ass for worrying everyone." She laughed softly, though she had no plans to do such.

She was a really good mom, being member of the Council she was always there and at times she would let us join her in," moving his hand over to wipe away her tears, "my father's brother made the ring, I was named after him, he was killed in an aviation accident." Looking around the ship as he sat back in his chair, "Hopefully Mayday won't kill us," laughing a bit as he played with the strap for his pistol, flicking it open and close with his finger as he put his other hand on Sam's back, "expect a shit ton of Cylons. Going to have Mayday drop resupply pods first so the survivors can have ammunition before we drop, stay close to the debris we'll use it for cover but our vigilante friend with Jonathan will actively look for the bunkers but don't worry Sam I'll be covering you. Let's wait to kick Jack's ass till afterwards," laughing as James started the 20-second countdown, "prepare for drop."

Taking a deep breath, he turned to the rest of them as he placed his hands around the restraints; "This is my first time jumping and we've got over 200 jumps till we get to the Colonies," breathing in and out as James began the final countdown. 10...he took a deep breath as his feet planted onto the deck, 9...thoughts ran through his head but he knew he had to focus on the upcoming attack, 8.. was too focused on bracing and didn't hear the rest of the countdown. Feeling the ship rumble, they jumped to their first set of coordinates as Jonathan closed his eyes; he hated having fear of anything especially something even he didn't understand.

Watching the installation finally completing, all the magazines were full, armories as well as cargo bays and munition rooms; they had squadrons of Vipers, raptors and even the original fighters that came with the ship. New security access as well as a new operating system and coding to ensure no Gondawan hacks as well as Cylon hacking, the Cerberus was now quite secure and with a medium size crew, they could now run a hydroponics bay and have more rations than say the Independence which was fully staffed. Most of the medical staff is Gondawan staff which have rebelled against the Gondawan state with Terran doctors who specialize in quite a lot of fields, giving the crew comprehensive care seen on most Terran ships with equipment just as good.
Receiving signals that the FTL was ready, they detached from the station just as the NSOTO's began settling on board with Captain November as well; all getting ready for combat as the ship came under its own power. Moving over the shipyard, the pods began to pull in as the ship prepared to for its first jump back to the Colonies; instead of being there for 30 days, they would be there till the job is complete with more than enough resources to stay afterwards. Finally jumping, they had close to a hundred jumps to complete till they were in orbit of Caprica; starting the countdown as the ship hummed to life.

At the new Presidential office on the grounds of Corinth University, near the airport
Timeline: Three weeks after having arrived in the Capital
It had been almost three weeks now since J and Captain Markus, along with several of the new Quorum members and a security detail from the CMS Marauder, had arrived in the capital city. Having set up temporary space in the Mayors office and finally getting the word out to the citizens of Terra and the Fleet that the government was being re-formed, J was ready to finalize the announcement with a personal message to everyone.
The city was still in disarray and ruin from the massive Cylon attack a year ago so getting the media outlets to get their equipment to the capital and setting up the satellite feeds had taken much longer than expected and it was frustrating J to no end. Already the quarreling between the various factions had begun-the Federalists set against the Spartists, the Isolationists in the Southern Hemisphere against the Monarchists in the north, just south of the Capital, the Gondawans against the Expantionists, and the Quorum crying about being left out. J secretly wished he had just gone to the Independence Brig and not immersed himself in this debacle and experiment in futility.
What the frak was Ben Little thinking when he started to re-form the government? Doral was probably onto something when he disbanded the Colonial government, as illegal as it may have been. Looking at his new Chief Aide, Neko Goor (the former woman having decided to pursue a different path in the new government by accepting the post of Agriculture Secretary), J smiled and nodded that he was ready. Looking at the array of cameras and recording devices, J cleared his throat and read from the teleprompter in front of him.
"Ladies and gentlement of Terra, the Colonial and Terran Fleets, citizens of the Terran system, and mostly, our Cylon allies and fellow Colonial citizens: For those of you who do not yet know who I am, allow me to introduce myself. I am J Castorious, former Acting President of the 12 Colonies of Kobol and Colonial Marine. Ever since President Phineas Doral announced some almost two years ago the disbandment of the Colonial government, our combined societies have been in an upheval and in total disarray. Fortunately, the late President Benjamin Little saw the error of that decision and was in the process of re-forming the government when he was killed by Cylon forces, done so while saving several thousand souls doing what he knew best, being a warrior. We shall never forget his actions those months ago and for that reason, I am formally announcing the reforming of the Colonial government, a government that will be for all citizens of Terra and her fleets and stations and settlements. This action is effective immediately. In the coming days, I will be announcing the members of my cabinet and will be visiting the various ships and settlements, as well as condcuting a goodwill tour of Terra herself. I thank you all and may the Gods continue to look down upon us with favor."

Sending an encrypted message to the Cerberus:
Need assistance at Virgon, we need you there to retreat to for we have injured that need care right away. Commander Thrax is heading to the surface now but has planted explosives that will slow down or even stop their operations, defend yourself accordingly and prepare for our arrival.
Closing the channel as he boarded his raptor, he knew now this was a mistake, the Cylons knew they would come here and they baited them into attacking which resulted in the deaths of so many of his men.

Having gone back to the Cerberus after the fight on Caprica, Sam had been monitoring any incoming communications, particularly waiting for any news from Virgon. She was furious with the idea of everyone rushing into another battle, considering most of their resources and men were drained for the moment. They barely had half of what they did before, yet there had been no way of talking anyone out of it. When a transmission finally came over the loudspeakers, she was stunned to hear the news of J reforming the government, and the fact that he would now be President again. She remembered having to step into those shoes, having to run the government and watch over the fleet. It had been more pressure than she'd known at the time, just as it had been to take the seat of Vice President. Pushing the thought aside for the moment, it wasn't long until another message was coming in to the Cerberus through one of the encrypted channels. And it had been just what she feared would happen. Shaking her head, Sam looked around the CIC at the staff there, looking to see if Daniel was among them. "Jump the ship to Virgon, immediately. We must be prepared for the worst. Have medical teams waiting to receive the injured." Within moments, the ship was gone from Caprica's orbit, jumping away to Virgon. ............................. Coming out of the jump, Sam reached for the comm to connect to their teams down on the planet, knowing that it wouldn't be long before the ship would be taking hits. "Colonel Martin to all teams, the Cerberus is ready and waiting, get your asses up here." She paused for only a moment, letting out a low sigh. The irritation, and worry, was getting to her, and she'd already decided that if something were to happen, then she would take a raptor down herself to look for Michael. "Jack, do you have any word on Michael? Did he make it to the surface?"
