Sitting against the cold concrete wall, Jake knew what he had in store for himself considering Post Isaac era meant the military cracked down on Arms Trafficking. A few crates of M14 had dropped in his lap during the transit from the Colonies not his fault that he wanted to get out the jungle and into the city. His partner was a truthful SoB and thankfully was in a different cell but processing caused a bit of a stir likely due to his tattoos. In his distant past, Jake was a soldier but that was a lifetime ago...his thoughts interrupted as Marines stormed in with their hands on their pistols but insisted that he get on his feet.
The Sergeant spoke softly, having heavily armed soldiers at the cell door but knew from the team that caught him that it wasn't an easy task; "General Thrax has issued a waiver to remove this and other items from your record but you have to agree to serve at least two years in the military under a Commander. Agree and no more state provided shit meals."
Tough decision but service here was a cake walk. The Terrans have quite a reach and the new Colonials depend on their legal system so anywhere he went he would be a criminal. Deep breathe before answering the Sergeant, "Accept the terms but I was an LT in the past," they wouldn't honor that but likely give him a rank that makes him easier to control.
Putting a hood on his head, the Sergeant had the regulars drag him to the hangar while they cleaned the cell.

Landing beside the hangar, Michael got up as his A.I appeared beside him but he knew this was a new experience for his A.I in the past was never visible to him.
Walking to the hangar, he could smell the fuel lines being connected to the raptors for they were going to take them to Outpost Twelve. Outpost Twelve was formally a Siege Tank reengineered into a mobile base moving at an outstanding speed of three mph with a top speed of five. The outpost held enough weapons to defend against the toasters and other than a decent base it had a pair of raptor landing pads beside the 4 docked vipers.
Stepping into the hangar, he began changing into the forest BDUs with his gear laid out including a new rifle for this Op. Nicknamed Barracuda, this was a stripped down Tavor bullpup design with improved grips and the same overall length of the FN2000 platform. The best part took the same ammunition as the other rifles on the table including the Tavor and VHS-2 platform. Securing his suppressor to the end with a digital scope, Mike picked up the easy slip on vest that was loaded down with ten more mags as well as a low hanging compact medical pack with a survival kit as well. Connecting his forearm protection on, the new tactical pad was tougher with a knife as well as new ID sensors that'll allow satellites to track them. Securing the holster with .38 Glock, each of the six mags had 30-rounds with the weapon having the new suppression system secured and loaded with its standard 15-rounds. Attaching an additional rig for climbing, this allowed them to carry more when it was required with John securing his fifty pound pack with his .50 caliber HTI folded on the side with six magazines on him and 24 mags in his pack. Overall he was carrying almost one hundred pounds in gear with him finally slipping on his shades with his hat tucked in his vest. Noticing Tony and Jake, he knew these two were new to the team but knew others were at the outpost as he spoke up; "General Stonebridge will be riding with us to the Outpost and from there Alpha will pick up what's left of our team. Communications will be satellite based so we'll all be carrying boosters but we've been designated as Alpha with Bravo due to meet up with us in a few days. Stonebridge is Overwatch with Defiance designated as Old Folks Home," taking a second as he gathered his thoughts, "we'll be pushing west which according to the satellites we're looking at forests with massive plains and possibly even a desert with forests along the coast. The area we're meeting Bravo has been noted as Settlement Four then we'll proceed to the coast to Settlement Five. Kobol has been a real pain in the ass but idea is we're the toughest in all of Terra so time to tame this rock."
Having everyone board the raptors which was now six due to them now standing, the projected flight was 30 minutes with them having to step onto the outpost as opposed to landing. Securing his earpiece, Mike knew this was a new experience for him but knew Sam was always inciteful so maybe this A.I will be much like her.

Relaxing at his desk in the now permanent buildings of the base, pictures still in the black boxes but his desk was complete. Leaning back in the padded leather chair, it was remarkable that craftsman created everything and the new network was online but he had no idea how things were going to change. Closing his eyes for a moment, an alarm rung out from his computer with a small holographic version of Terra in red. For the first time, Terra was on longer communicating with them but the wave was still so far away.
Sitting upright at his desk, Jack begin reviewing the packets being sent to Terra with others sending back. Most was simply housekeeping reports which was abruptly cut off with a burst behind the message. Calling in his assistant, Jack worked on the message as he received emails from the other Generals and Kobol Intelligence; "Recall Alpha and get them on the tarmac," waiting for the man to leave before leaving his office for a meeting with his fellow Generals and the President. As much as they are devoted to Kobol, Terra security was their top priority and now home was in trouble.
