Ice? So the frakkin artic it is then. That's one part about his survival training that he hated and now it was time to return to the ice box. Walking out of the hangar with him, John spoke up as the base lit up with activity; "Didn't really get the briefing but I'm also a few guys down so, why in the hell are we going to the artic? Last time I checked, there isn't much down there except for ice, snow and the occasional animal." Crossing his arms, Liam knew no one was a fan of the artic, shit, even he wasn't since he fought the old war in the artic. It was so cold that the bullets froze in the barrel causing discharges and killed more soldiers than the frakkin Spartans did. Advances in technology now prevent that from happening and now they would be testing that in the artic. Speaking to the Colonel, he knew the facts and knew even with the Behemoth that it would be a challenge; "Six months ago, Jason Chase and his men crashed in the artic. We don't have an exact position but General wants to wait till we have the Tauron back..." He could tell right off the bat that John disagreed with the General and was content on rescuing his old Commander. "Frak that," turning to Samuel as he ordered the man to move their equipment to the Behemoth, "we're leaving now so I suggest getting what people you do have on that ship!" Starting his walk across the runways towards the massive ship as he took off his jacket. John had trained under Jason and Sly who basically made him into the soldier that he is now. Stopping beside his crate, he began changing into the artic gear while Samuel did the same. Search and Rescue but all he could hope for is that Jason was still alive. Attachments:

Changing into the artic gear, Samuel knew from the brief that he was reading that the temperatures were below freezing which meant they had to double calorie intake. More than 6000 calories for each of them which meant more food than they can carry so maybe using a vehicle to carry food. Sending a message to Tom to prepare a vehicle to carry food...a shit ton of food. Taking a deep breath as he began to began securing his backpack and tactical gear. Picking up his AUG, he knew if the artic was like the jungle than best to have a large caliber weapon.
Uploading landing coordinates to the Behemoth, he tossed his old gear into the crate before starting up the ramp.

Receiving the message, Tom knew Samuel was right about the additional calories especially given the task at hand. Ripping out the passenger seats with anything else, Tom climbed in while a squad of Marines headed to the Behemoth; "We're in route and Marines think we are taking the ship so I suggest you get frakkin moving." Driving to the Behemoth, he knew accelerating the time table would force the General to bring this up to his Colonial counterparts. That didn't matter especially now for them, it was all about rescuing a brother that could still be alive. Attachments:

Waiting for Tom to arrive, he closed the ramp once he was on board and cleared the ship for launch. The flight would take a few hours but at least they were on their way to helping.
Taking a seat on the deck, Liam turned to Chris as he held onto his HTI rifle; "Your a sniper and a tracker so we'll follow you on the ground but Gabriel has the UAV and the dog so I'll like to head to the mountains first to setup a relay station then start searching," loading a fresh round, "just keep your eyes open out there."
Keeping the relay in his holster, Liam knew how important the damn relay was since the nearest shoreline was hundreds of miles away. Maybe as an SF, he hated the snow and the water since both were elements out of his control. Solid land was always preferred but never really an option given that everything is in a flux of change.

Sending a request to Othos for Echo Team, the discovery of the rocket had changed the situation to that of security. Assembling research teams would take time to assemble since he would be pulling them from the field with security teams as well.
For a while, the Terrans were searching for why the Colonials would leave Kobol and even more how. Site B showed that the 13th tribe may have been more science based which could also mean that they differed religion wise. The answers they were looking for still remained unanswered and maybe now they can answer some of them.
Getting up from his desk, Jack had begun sending supply pods to the artic but knew till Echo arrived that he couldn't do much more. He still had a long list of applicants on his desk and knew in the morning he would have to contend with Mr. Cooper.

Glancing down at his tactical pad, Jack had a pending message on the emergency band which was odd by itself. The emergency band was a set of wide band channels that operated under the radio bands and were long range. Pulling up the message, it was from Victor Smith and had coordinates attached concerning abandoned soldiers. First Colonel Chase and now this, he began to question if those staggered landings was a bad idea. Picking up his gear, Jack prepared a raptor squadron of 4 to go out tonight with ten to leave in the morning. He wasn't going to miss out on this since General White will be on the ground in the artic. Tapping his dog, Armistice, awake as he picked up his rifle on the way to the airfield. Jack wanted to review this finding even if it meant doing this at the edge of darkness. Sending orders to nearby scouting teams to head to the location to secure it against nighttime operations since those 4 raptors will be leaving with any wounded as opposed to staying. Having Armistice load up first into the raptor with medical personnel, Jack moved to sit up front with the pilot. As usual, the squadron would be traveling with 4 Vipers as protection which was just cautionary since they haven't fully explored the planet. Attachments:

With assets being focused both on the artic and mainland exploration, William flew into Defiance where plans for the first 100+ deck space station that would orbit Kobol. Kobol is lacking proper docking facilities and whenever the Fleet shows up they would need a place to dock.
Landing at the base, William stepped off his shuttle to see 1 of the 34-20 level docking slabs was under construction here. Unlike Terra One, this station could in theory hold tens of thousands of people and entire Viper squadrons for the defense effort. With both Kobol and Colonial interests on this project it would be an ambitious move.
Slipping on his sunglasses, he walked over to Romo who was watching from the distance as a transport dropped off crates filled with materials. Turning to Romo, this was a planet wide project with vital components being both built and assembled here; "I'm surprised that you signed off on a 84 trillion cubits proposal. For as long as I've known you, you're not the person to take risks and not to mention we're going have to send these things up the traditional way."

Walking out from his office, Romo had the proposal in hand and knew it could take years till the new space station was completely built but it would definitely be a statement. The Terrans have come here with nothing but in 6 months gave this world cities and life once more with his own people helping. Even on the proposal, the majority of the materials were going to come from 10 of the 12 Colonies with all the Colonies sending their best workers to Kobol for this. Watching William's raptor land, he placed the proposal aside as Romo listened before laughing a bit; "My government approved it and I'm here to supervise. As for putting it up there, Scorpia is building the transports just for this station but till they arrive we'll have to build some rockets," lighting up a cigar as he handed William one, "engineers are building the slabs here and decks will be built up there with the furnishings."

Taking the cigar, William picked up the proposal and knew this station meant it would be a while till anyone could build new ships. The budget was large enough to build 6 fully armed Battlestars but the station, at least on paper, could house a fleet of Battlestars and even more. Lighting up the cigar, William took a seat as he turned to Romo; "Heard that prospectors have found iron in a nearby cave so maybe soon we can pick up the bill." Taking a hit, William took in the rich flavor before pulling away as he took out a pen to circle key spots that wasn't noticed early on; "Kobol City has all the defensive turrets and rail guns that we could bring so this station can have a bite encase those little bots show up."

Bots. Good name and honestly he was hoping that with some sections would get built faster than others since there really wasn't a defense for Kobol yet. The Vipers were a decent defense effort but he couldn't see 5,000 Vipers bringing down a Basestar. The main body consisted of 5 massive towers the will be connected in orbit with 3 spine pieces that will be both the spine and protect the inner travel. The Terrans alone was creating the advance Dradis, communications, internet service and so much more. Of course, he knew the Terrans would have to create advance orbital systems with their own additional decorations...Romo knew decorations included the 13 banners on the station. Watching them start work on the other slabs, everything had to be exact and honestly in the end he might move his office there. Listening to William, he soon gave the updated plans to the Captains to work along with the engineers before speaking to William; "I've never seen a rocket launch but these rockets might be a feat by themselves."

Sitting down with a reporter from KNN, Romo knew the Colonials coming to Kobol would need a pronounced figure to stand behind. Both the camera and microphone attached to his jacket for the radio, though, he had done this before on Picon as he waited for the reporter.
Reporter: This is Will Brown of the KNN, sitting down with Colonial Joint Operations Commander Romo Shepard, Picon Officer, we'll be going over quite a bit starting with; seven months on Kobol and joint operations have been exploring the planet but why is it taking so long?
Shepard: Thanks for having me and when we think of exploration, some would think of a walk in the woods and it's not that. The teams in the field are marking historical sites as well as dangers that we don't see. At night, Kobol comes to life with hostile apes, wolves as well as panthers and other animals that simply have zero tolerance for us. In hopes to gain traction, Terrans have defrosted their assault dogs in an attempt to counter the wolves but even that takes time.
Reporter: Those animals are quite dangerous and those at Site 1 have know first hand with Scorpia's finest protecting the site. The government states that there is different micro colonies landing all over Kobol. Is there a plan in place to protect them?
Shepard: Yes, Colonial Marines are being assigned to these small colonies with pre-assigned landing coordinates and joint operations on protecting them with raptors. Unfortunately, just like the Tauron Colony here, sometimes it's good to take chances.
Reporter: Chances are just risky sometimes but we'll overcome any challenges. Here is the last question, KNN has noticed that both Kobol and the Colonies have agreed to a 700 billion cubit deal to build...
Shepard: That project is classified and...
Tyson: This project will come to light soon. But this interview is done.

Stepping off of the raptor, Damon could see that the slabs were under construction which meant they were on schedule. Wearing his beige overcoat, this was comfortable and made him a forgettable person on this base. Walking with a Lieutenant, Damon held the rank of Captain in the Terran Army and often didn't flex the rank since the Terran Army doesn't even exist any longer. Escorted to the Generals, he found it funny that out of all the people to observe this massive undertaking...they left it to the most senior of senior Officers.
Setting down the tablet, Damon crossed his arms for he could also see the massive rockets being assembled as well; "it's been a decade since the last rocket went up and now we're doing it again. What's the status of the project?"

Taking a sip of his tea, the rockets were necessary till the new cargo ships came in to do the same job; "So what brings Terran Intelligence to paradise?"

The box contained a chipset that was important to establish real time communication and could help create a 3D printer to build the interior. Setting the box down, there was a solid white 2 stamped on top of it; "One of three new motherboards with new chipset architecture that will provide the real time communication with the new 3D printer and a link to the planetary defense network with a virus ready against the Cylons." The Intelligence agency had the means to fulfill what they wanted but everything came at a cost and he had his price. Since the destruction of Terra, the agency faded into the shadows but they couldn't thrive in the shadows; "We want representation and home on the station."

Since the destruction of Terra, the agency faded into the shadows but they couldn't thrive in the shadows; "We want representation and home on the station." The same chipsets that the industry was making seemed to be in his hands and this was more of a ransom demand. Getting up, he had already called for the Terran Marines as he fixed his jacket, not going to risk their security to a group that should've died repetitively on Terra; "Your act would've worked with anyone else except for me. Terran Intelligence does what we tell you to do, SFs created you out of necessity and your necessity is no longer needed. You don't get respected through hostage negotiations but with aiding us." Having the Marines arrest him as William took the black box, noticing that the box was empty with a pretty impressive sticker; "Nice trick but you'll show the Peacekeepers where you have the motherboards and better not hold your breath for that representation," waving them off as he tossed the box aside. William never liked Terran Intelligence and it could be seen quite clearly even now.
