Taking a seat in the chair, Michael couldn't believe he was doing this again but rescue was dependent on him as he sat back against the buffer with Victor guiding his hand to the data stream. Suddenly everything went blank with him appearing inside an old memory unaware of what was happening. This was the crew barracks...his first day on the Atlanta. His pack against the barrack but he wasn't wearing his ACU but the black clothes he was wearing now with his jacket unzipped. He hadn't thought about this day in a long time but the door opening caused him to skip a beat for it was Aurora in the dress from the club from their first encounter. Placing his hands behind his back, he was reminding himself that this was the A.I not the woman he loved; "Who created you?"
Playing the memory connected to this room, the A.I was observing the concept of love that the Cylons had few examples of. Love, as an emotion, is the hardest to understand but for this A.I it was helping her understand him; "You loved her? Why?"
Stepping around the table, that first night was more than a one night fling but the first step to something bigger that even now he couldn't imagine without her. Why? One word with the biggest impact. He loved many aspects of her but maybe they shared the same attitude or she could actually handle him? Answering the A.I, Mike whispered to the A.I; "She was everything to me and its hard living without her. Why are we here?"
Speaking to him, the A.I didn't choose this memory but he did for it was buried with so many other memories; "You come here to relax so I came here too," changing the environment to his massive apartment on Terra with the shower going in the background, "what happened to her?"
Where to start with that? Environmental changes? Allergies? Kobol? There was so many questions but only one answer...the gods. The gods he cursed had not wired everyone right and all it took was one failed connection at a good time to end everything they had. Taking a seat on the white sofa, tears running down his face for that was his freshest memory; "Kobol. When the Colonials warned us that this place is cursed, we disregarded cause we have nowhere to go and now I regret it all."
Kneeling in front of him, the A.I searched his memories and could only see good ones with the image it was using before speaking to him; "Call me Auro. The ones that the Colonials call the 13th Tribe created me to help them. I can't remember why but it seems like you need my help," touching his hand which it was getting a reaction that it didn't expect, "you have something the Cylons are striving to find."
Auro short for Aurora. Her old call sign and he mentioned calling one of their children Aurora but it seemed suitable. Feeling a gust of wind, this was his only indication that they were successful, getting up for he could see the explosion out of the window like his new A.I was blending reality with the memory. Viewing out with Auro beside him, he had his reasons not to trust an A.I given his experience with Bones but this felt different; "You know my last experience with Bones, I'm sure he left an imprint, let's don't repeat that and I'll protect you as long as you have my back like she did."
Nodding, the A.I laced its hand with him before whispering to him as it settled into his mind with the pre-existing enhancements; "Time to wake up, Mike."
Waking up, the debris began to rain down with his radio lighting up with chatter from scouts seeing the explosion, crawling out of the water as he saw not the valley but domed buildings with a lab built into the mountain where likely Auro sat before the Basestar wiped out the buildings here. Whispering to Auro, he slowly got up for he was seeing Kobol not as a doomed world but one almost like Terra with a beauty they missed early on; 'I understand you a liitle more'.
