Scorpia is one of the Twelve Colonies. The planet was settled by the Scorpio tribe of Kobol. Scorpia has a rather low class reputation as being a planet with loose morals, with prostitution widely practiced and has a low priced tourism destination called Argentum Bay, catering to 18 to 22 year olds seeking to celebrate Vernal Break.
The Scorpion Fleet Shipyards was one of the Colonial Fleet's shipyards, where ships are overhauled. The shipyard was destroyed in the attack on the 12 Colonies. It is here that the Battlestar Pegasus was berthed for refit and overhaul. Five other ships also berthed at the shipyard were destroyed as well, including two Battlestars.

Scorpia is one of the Twelve Colonies. It is known throughout the Four Systems as the "Playground of the Colonies". The planet was settled by the Scorpio tribe of Kobol. Scorpia has tropical weather complete with hurricanes, similar to the planet Libran. It is located in the Helios Gamma star system, along with Sagittaron and Libran.[1] Due to its close proximity to the Acheron asteroid belt, it is the site of the Colonial Military Scorpion Shipyards. The temperate areas are hotter than they should be due to the heat that remains trapped in Scorpia's cities. The capital city is Celeste, which is a mile high in a bowl shaped valley in the Guardian Mountains, and is cooler than other Scorpian cities, such as Argentum. Celeste is also the location of the Colonial Stock Market. Scorpia has a half ring that surrounds the planet, resembling a coiled scorpions tail.[2] As mentioned in Battlestar Galactica: The Plan one of the characters stated that Scorpia has jungles near the equator, that gradually rise into rugged mountains that progress both north and south of the equator, with unexplored polar regions. Scorpia has a rather low class reputation as being a planet with loose morals, with prostitution widely practiced and has a low priced tourism destination called Argentum Bay, catering to 18 to 22 year olds seeking to celebrate Vernal Break.

High in orbit, the refitted Civilian ship flew undetected especially considering it had outran the raiders around Picon and lost them in the debris of Battlestars that had once protected the Colony before racing here. Holding on, Romo was wearing the latest in both warfare and chemical warfare gear even more it was comfortable but it had limited his normal gear which meant he had to do more with less; some things never change. Entering the Atmosphere, the civilian ship headed for the massive debris field that was in what was once Argentum Bay but it was far from what it once was. Over time the debris from not just the Scorpia shipyards but the Battlestars had fallen down to the planet and the larger chunks have littered the area and even the ocean however the Cylons had used this area to ambush Colonials which now meant it was time to turn the tables. Holding onto his M-4, he tapped his radio to signal his men were ready as the ramp lowered down; running off the ramp as they dropped down into the water but began rushing towards the debris to take cover. Glancing back as the last of his men dropped down, the civilian transport raced away signaling that they were on their own; ordering his scouts to take point. Taking a deep breath, he knew the air recyclers were meant for this but it also meant he had to learn how to breath a new way as he jogged ahead on a thin bridge of steel; sliding to a stop beside his men. Surprising the armor was light but then again it was meant for the Special Forces instead it was being used for his Marines who were considered the best that Picon could deliver. Tapping his radio, he whispered as he glanced through his visor to see Centurions on what appeared to be a flight pod with the raiders just sitting there; "Red Team move in under the enemy and set charges we need to secure this beachhead," red team being his demolitions team which meant if anything went wrong he would be the distraction. Signaling his men to stay in cover, a few pulled out the missile launchers as they prepared for the raiders encase the plan went sideways; knowing they could bring them down with ease before anymore alarms went off. Receiving the green light, he waited till they were clear before detonating the flight pod; surprised by the explosion considering it was still carrying tylium as chunks of toaster went everywhere.

Securing the beachhead, Romo decided to leave two fire teams behind to hold it; Fire Team Red and Yellow, knowing they both had the gear to do just that. Moving on with the rest of his fire teams, he knew the beachhead had to be made otherwise this entire campaign would be a failure; moving along at a rather fast pace as if they were jogging but instead they were moving just behind the scouts to ensure all their points were clear. Knowing its too dangerous as is, Romo ordered his snipers to get up into the trees and to stay at least five minutes out to ensure not to leave anyone behind. Stopping, he could hear foot steps up ahead as well almost like someone isn't hiding it but wanted to be found; moving forward he kept croached till whoever it was were on top of them. To his surprise it was a few Scorpion soldiers on patrol however unlike him, they weren't wearing masks which meant 'A' they were used to the piss poor conditions or 'B' there was no danger but still he wasn't going to take off the mask. The soldiers had kevlar on but also carried what appeared to be a M107 which is a semi-automatic .50 caliber rifle and grenades on their chest due to the lack of space that these already weighed down soldiers had. Ordering his men stand down, he stepped forward to explain his presence; “Colonel Romo Shepard of Picon, I command five fire teams and our mission is to aid Scopia in anyway possible as long as it leads to independence from the toasters.” Nodding, the Scorpia sergeant seemed relieve that they weren't Cylons but still had protocol on his mind; “Good to meet you, sir, we were advised ahead of time and my Captain would like a word.” Following the sergeant, he called for his snipers but pondered how bad the situation on Scorpia could be.

Coming out of the forest, he noticed a rather large truck but unlike the ones on Picon this one was also well defended with a small weapons array sitting right on top of it; everything from missiles to cannons to defend it from Cylons of all types. The missiles had to be hell fire missiles due to the small size but they could bring down raiders with ease and even more heavy raiders and appeared to be some burn marks from a previous battle maybe even several battles. Handing his rifle over to one of the soldiers, he stepped inside only to notice not just a Captain but also a CAG from the local air group which meant they were well organized but it was time to see if the rumors were true about the Battlestar or was it made up to make this Colony more valuable.
Shaking the Captain's hand, he removed his helmet as he set it aside; "Picon wants Scorpia to launch the Battlestar you may have considering we're now in a position to fire nuclear warheads accurately. Not to mention, Scorpia needs to be free if this new military alliance is to work," he knew only the basics of the report and knew at this point if they did join up together that they could make an attempt on Caprica considering the minor resistance cells were fighting back. The ultimate goal has always been Caprica not for the once sandy beaches but the vast resources that the Colony has such as ship building materials which would double the number of Battlestars. He could hear the Captain talk it over with his superiors before turning back to him with an answer, "We need an vital airfield not far from here but we've been lying siege to it for a while any help would be nice otherwise our air group will be basically grounded."
Picking up his helmet, he knew it would be a challenge but he loved challenges; "We'll take care of it just have your jocks on standby once we secure it," slipping on his helmet before taking a step out to brief his fire teams.

Setting up small charges around the fence line, Romo had cleverly setup a fire team around the mountain line to take out the towers so the buggies could roll right in. Running back to his buggy, he took a seat in his passenger's seat as he glanced back to spot the tanks on standby once they secure a small beachhead before advancing. Their air support package was still about ten minutes out which would bring down any problems that they couldn't deal with which by their luck it wouldn't be much then again this wasn't their turf like it was on Picon. Pulling the detonator out of his pocket, he gave a simple tap on the radio which was the executive order for attack; detonating the thirty pounds of explosives just as rockets blared overhead and into the tower forcing Centurions pieces to rain down. Punching it, the buggies started towards the fortified gates with their .50 caliber cannons blaring into the Centurion positions before getting clear of the line of tanks behind them.
The massive shells tore into the wall and soon opened it up, allowing the buggies to drive through the rubble before breaking off and heading towards the air strip to ensure the enemy couldn't launch any raiders or setup a proper defense. The damage from the opening parts of the war could be seen with debris from the destroyed Vipers and raptors with skeletons of the pilots that once manned the ships but now they were getting their revenge at the very least. Dropping out of the buggy, a few of his passengers followed him while the buggies went ahead and secured the area. Rushing towards the barracks, he managed to slip in as the Centurions began opening fire on them with the skin jobs attempting to join in the fight. Tossing one of his frags into a room, he tried to rush in only to get knocked down by a bullet into his chest armor; tossing yet another one in before joining his men as they sprayed the room. Doing this for nearly every room, he soon switched to his shotgun as he heard the ammunition dump went up in flames after taking a tank shell.
Stepping out, he took a glance up to the sky as the raiders and Vipers roared in with the mobile command center; noticing the surprising look on the Captain's face he knew this victory was something they needed. Ordering his fire teams to form up, he knew another mission would soon come in and hopefully he could confirm that at least Scorpia had a Battlestar.

Riding in the raptor, he held onto the top as his men checked over their rifles with the CAG sitting in front of them; "The goal today is to use one Battlestar as a distraction while the Battlestar Achilles launches but be advised that it has no evacuation ships on it so if you get shot down then your pretty screwed," nodding as he took a seat up in the cockpit as they approached the mountain which housed the Battlestar. Stepping off of the raptor, they began the long walk towards the Battlestar with the CAG right behind him considering he needed a pilot and somehow in the draw of the straws way; the CAG got screwed over. Walking up to the balcony, Romo shook him head as he glanced down expecting something like the Mercury Class or even Columbia Class Battlestars' but somehow the gods screwed him massively; only 200 feet shorter than the Valkerie Class Battlestars this ship was rather shorter and smaller than the ones he had seen. Taking a deep breath, for once in his lifetime, he really didn't think this plan would work considering this ship would be like a mosquito attacking a giant; he actually feared the raiders could bring down this little ship. Rushing towards the hatch, he and his men jumped onboard before rushing towards the CIC, noticing along the way that most of the corridors were still in the process of being built and once they reached the CIC; he noticed that all the vital areas were in the CIC which made the CIC a tasty little target. Ordering the CAG to the helm, he had his men pull off panels for cover as he noticed most of the consoles were still being built; "I swear, its like you all had your head up your ass while building this tiny frakkin ship." Smirking, the CAG jumped the ship out of the mountain and into orbit as he started up the engines; "Its really hard to get engineers if the Cylons killed them all early on, this ship is pretty damn advance..." Interrupting him, Romo setup a position behind the Command Table as he checked over his rifle before setting down his helmet/rebreather; "Advance, my buggies are more advance than this thing. Focus on flying and we'll focus on fighting encase the Cylons want to board this tiny thing."

The Dradis lit up with Basestars and raiders bearing down on them, suddenly a new target appeared and to their surprise it was the Achilles with her Vipers pouring out; introducing herself to one hell of a fight. Holding on, the tiny guns of the tiny Battlestar came to life providing flak cover for the Achilles but with her other weapons still unbuilt which limited the small ship but also made it a tempting target for the Basestars as they poured their raiders over the ship. Rumbling, the debris of the dead raiders collided with the armor causing the ship to shake but unknown to Romo that this was a distraction while several heavy raiders landed inside the pods in an attempt to quiet the ship and make it easier to destroy the Achilles.
Distant explosions could be heard as the Cylons blew open the hatches leading to the CIC, picking up his helmet as the CAG did the same before flipping off not just the oxygen but the gravity plating to give them a slight advantage. His men stayed bunched together for behind them was the master gun control which could turn the guns on the Achilles and kill any chance of freeing themselves from the Cylons forever. The hatch opened up and Romo opened fire on the Centurion, having it die instantly as he kicked off only to stop next to the CAG as he crouched behind the helm; "CAG, any fancy tricks you got to put some negative G's on the toasters?"
Spotting the man nodding no, he took aim on another one with the CAG, an M-4 and a Colonial pistol opening fire in bursts before taking cover once more. The Centurions were now making their way into the CIC and taking up cover, fighting for every inch but both Romo and his fire teams knew the Cylons wouldn't get too far considering they had this little room well protected. The DRADIS beeped with incoming ships, not heavy raiders but raptors from Picon and they were loaded down with nuclear warheads meant for the Basestars; a weapon of vengeance that the Cylons used to reignite the war. Ejecting his empty mag, he tossed out a frag towards the Centurions but he wasn't alone since his other men did the same to shred the Centurion numbers. Smoke filled the air and in zero G, it clouded up everything but it didn't stop the fighting as the Centurions fell quickly and so did a few of his own men due to the lack of sight to their target. As the smoke cleared, the Centurions lie dead at their feet with only three members of his fire teams dead from multiple gun shots; flipping back on the gravity and oxygen but quickly learning that they were winning the battle. The help, the weapons he found well they were being used to give Scorpia a fighting chance and now it didn't matter if they were in the smallest Battlestar or the largest one ever created; the battle would soon be over which meant the ground war would soon be over.
Looking over his ammunition, he had spent most of his magazines leaving him only his pistol if the Cylons were to attempt this again and even then it wouldn't stop much. When the war started, he was dazed and confused, his first fight was with a Six and a Centurion in his own home and on his back he bore the scars of the Centurion. After that, he left the house and slowly gathered his gear mostly from fallen soldiers who were killed only hours after the attack; he even aided in securing the small town which now rests the ruling party of Picon and members of the newly developed Quorum of the Colonies. He thinks back and wonders if he should've died that day but today was the day that thought had disappeared which meant he knew deep down that it was only a matter of time till he could return home knowing he did his service, even more that the Cylons got a nice little beating from their creators; one that they alone would feel for the next few thousand years.

Walking across the airbridge onto the Picon Cargo ship, Icarus, he already ventured a thought on where they were going considering not just the cargo but the ship; they were going to Tauron which meant they needed to hide most of their gear. Since a few years ago, the Cylons have allowed some compassion to Tauron but only as a humanitarian effort to show that they had another agenda but even with that the Cylons have strict guidelines that have stopped many Colonies from sending soldiers and mostly cause the Cylons search every ship that comes near Tauron. Knowing all the risks, there was still a plus side considering two Scorpia fire teams would be joining his ranks which meant now he had a unit that could do more damage for less. Ordering his men to hide their gear in the massive bags of rice, he knew that it would go past untouched considering Centurions in the past hated the sight of food sent to this single colony. Dressing in worn down clothes with his black overcoat, he glanced over the rest of his men only to notice the same and knew with no weapons on them that if they were to be discovered that the Centurions would certainly kill them and destroy the ship. Staying clear of the bridge, Romo stayed down near the mess hall where his fire teams hung out, listening as they shared stories of the war so far knowing after this mission that they would be talking about more on how they fooled the Cylons. From what he knew of Tauron, Tauron was hit hard during the opening of the war and was cut down from a population of billions to the thousands even then they are slowly dying off from insurgency attacks making them not much of a formidable force. They would have to not just train the Taurons how to fight but use their skills to fight an entire Cylon army to get this Colony which for him would make it costly; glancing around the room he knew most of these kids would be dead but in the long run its worth it...at least that's what the brass tells him.

The pilots had jumped into the atmosphere and was flying low to the water which meant they were going to do a beach landing next to debris of old fallen Battlestars, opening the bomb bay doors as the SF's dropped down onto the beach and soon the ropes disconnected. Running into the tree line, the raptors jumped right away but not before dropping off a communication beacon for Jack and Romo to communicate without alerting Tauron to their activities. Handing the pack over to a Sergeant, he pulled the safety off his rifle as he turned to Samuel who was organizing his gear; "There should be a town at least 10 miles away or maybe even a village but its better than standing right here," rolling up his sleeves for the heat was a bit unbearable. He knew the General would leave behind a company or two of SF's to ensure that Scorpia didn't rise up which meant his two companies would probably be facing off against them. Unlike the SF's on Caprica, the SF's that they would face had some level of programming which meant talking to them wouldn't change their mind and given time they would warn Tauron which they can't allow it happen. Climbing through treacherous jungle, Jack and his SF's hadn't been in an environment like this in sometime; falling time to time and becoming a bit muddier each time. Taking cover, Jack spotted an SF patrol coming from the village as his men moved behind trees as they began screwing on their compressors knowing that a single shot would draw the attention of those in the village and any nearby Cylons.

Sliding behind a bush, Samuel pulled out his rifle as he extended his pod front as he peered through his scope which had non-reflective lens; he had taken the time to add the suppressor as he aimed for their heads but didn't take the shot as Jack rushed behind behind them with a few men and slit their throats. Getting up, he walked over to the enemy as he pulled off the insignia's that were on their shoulder; "Jack, Zeta and Tango Company. Zeta is advance recon and mostly snipers while Tango has been known to go invisible in this environment, I suggest we watch where we walk," whispering as a member of Delta stripped down the bodies of gear and hid them. He had trained with Zeta Company, their tactics were ancient but effective and on Scorpia it would mean that these small villages were home of squads while the cities would be booby trapped...this was going to be a long campaign.

Zeta and Tango, companies that were once under his command and if those two are here then Shadow Company was here and those three together was much like Alpha Company which meant taking down those Companies will be a massive loss to the SFC. Even when he was in charge of them, they rarely listened to his orders and mostly Harperson's but with some of his Nomads with him this should be an interesting fight; 50,000 SF's in total verses his 50 men which meant he needed an army of Scorpia's finest. He knew the Alphas came here first with their Cylon allies and wiped out the old standing army so he needed to traverse the jungle and Scorpia's mountains to get to at least one major city. Now they had a plan but they needed night first, they needed to send a message with some nitroglycerin that they brought with them; even outnumbered they could throw these three companies off of their feet.
Ordering snipers to keep an eye out, they had a few hours to wait till night and they needed the darkness considering these companies may be relaxed since they are mostly here to babysit the planet.

Allison had no idea on how extensive the corruption was but the General had placed 3 of the most advance Companies to a jungle planet that had been wiped out by Alpha Company but she was here to spy for those that have turned against the SFC. She got over here by sneaking on board the troop ship that Shadow Company was on and left when it was safe to leave the ship, exploring 40% of the Colony on her own and finding nothing but battlefields where the Alphas took out Scorpia's best...even crashed cruisers where bodies and skeletons now inhabit. Tons of resources almost everywhere which helped her survive and now she was watching from above as Jack and his men waited for night to do what she has already done which was booby trapped that entire village but once she detonated it then that would draw attention of those hiding in this jungle which was mostly Zeta Company. Zeta Company was mostly looking the other way and hidden with their ghillie suits, pulling out the detonator as she put a 5 second timer on it before starting her way down to Jack; dropping in behind him as the explosives went off.
Surprising Jack, she pulled him aside as she gave him a pair of thermal goggles as she whispered to him; "Zeta Company is here and right now they're munitions are burning so I suggest you use stealth either to get out of here or fight them."

Surprised by the explosion, Jack turned around to turn to Allison and didn't hesitate to take the Thermal Goggles as he noticed Zeta Company almost all the way around them as his men changed to different goggles to see them as the snipers began taking head shots. Wondering why Zeta wasn't firing back, Jack looked over one of the dead bodies only to notice it was a trap, dead Scorpia soldiers who were warmed up with magnesium tipped rounds in them; they had given away their location. Ordering his men to begin moving towards the mountains, artillery rounds began to fall around them as Zeta Company shelled them; if they were using thermals then it was a good chance that Zeta Company was using thermals as well. Dropping into the mud, he bathed himself in mud before ordering the rest of his men to follow for he knew mud was an insulator and if Zeta didn't see them then they would stop firing. Lying in the mud, Jack watched Zeta fire a single shot before stopping altogether which meant going through the mountains was a no go but going around the mountains was the better call but this meant they couldn't activate their long range gear since it would draw Zeta to them in minutes.
Crawling for a mile, they finally got up and started their long walk in the heat of the humidity though they could hear thunder in the distance; knowing any rain would turn this jungle into a flash flood and even more it would take off the mud which would reveal them the other companies.
