Jasmine was still reeling from the fact that the Cylons had decided to use tactical nukes. She had immediately regretted that she too had deployed the same nukes but this was a fight to the death. The centurions were not letting up and neither were those hybrids. The sounds of raptors was overhead, meaning someone had given the order to evacuate. She had only a handful of her Marines left, perhaps fifty or sixty. Word was there was a force coming from up north to re-inforce the island. She had been informed that several platoons of Marines were also on their way. Due to the fact that there were still basestars in orbit over the area of the island continent, flying the troops in via raptors and transports was not an option so the Terran Navy was bringing them down from bases up north. They would be here in a few hours. She hoped it would be in time to salvage this mess. Looking at her Sergeant Major, she made a decision.
"Sgt Major, we're going to take that CP outover there, a few hundred meters to your left. Get everyone we have that can walk and carry a rifle ready. We're ending this now, even if it means we all die trying."
The Sgt Major nodded then went around to the Marines that were left. They were already on the cylon side of the Kilroy River and had advanced a few kilometers without any resistance. She knew that would soon change. The fallout from the small nukes was coming down and they were in their suits. The fact that both they and the Cylons had used them made matters worse. Over thirty small yield nukes were used by the humans alone. The Cylons had used around forty, also low yield. Still, the devastation was enough that this valley would be uninhabitable for several years, which meant no crops, which meant even more food shortage issues. She shook her head and wondered when this would all end. General Yolander was standing out front, looking over the filed before them. Lookng back, she gave the word to move out.
"Allright Marines, let's take that CP and see who we can find."

Taking a seat as he set his rifle down, unzipping his vest as he gave the go ahead to the pilot for take off; "Right now the Independence is a starting place, our injured are there for treatment and right now we can't do much with the Nomads taking on the rogue SF army on Caprica," taking a deep breath, "SF's were once peacekeepers and now they're a rogue nation bent on domination but only of the Colonial people, the Marines can't stop them like us. After we destroy the SF's then and only then can we have peace," taking a breath but it would be awhile till they can get there, "So what did you do before getting involved with all this trouble? You've got some weapons training but maybe I can help you considering I'm still behind on all these weapons." She jumped slightly as the raptor took off, never liking the feeling of being in the air. Evie wasn't sure they should've been heading to the Independence, not if the fight was on Caprica now. Part of her didn't know what to do besides fight, right now it was all they had, even as much as she wanted peace. She shrugged her shoulders at his question, pondering it for a moment before answering. "I woke up in an abandoned hospital, I guess that's where those jackasses left me after the crap on the cylon home world."Evanna paused, thinking back to what she could actually remember, none of it was pleasant. "I can only seem to remember the bad things. Before I was there, I spent years trying to impress someone who was more interested in his work than his kid." She chuckled, thought nothing about it was funny to her, not when she was a kid with a military father, one that only took much notice after she became a vigilante. "The only reason I'm not back in a prison cell is because of this war."

Surprised, the SF's probably thought she was safe there but even in his prison cell he wasn't safe; "I was in prison but even now with the corruption its not as safe as it was. Sad part is Terra lives for war but her people are done with war so we have to go to Caprica and shut down the old Terran war machine," that's what the SF's had become. The sent the Nomads who would be doing the bulk of the work, "After this war, I'll be a hated Gondawan so I can't return to Gondawan territory so I'll have to find something to do other than fighting any future wars."
Taking a second as the raptor left the islands, "My father cared about his family till I was 10 then it was all about the work and eventually found out that he and others had planned what was one of Terra's bloodiest war," thinking about the time he was in prison, "I spent 10 years in prison, no one knew who I was yet I knew all of them, my own father believed I was dead yet I'm here and to be honest, in the end when we've brought him and his armies down even I don't know what will happen to him but that'll be my choice and no one else."

Having taken the Cylon CP, Jasmine was standing there surveying the surrounding terrain. So much beauty yet so much destruction. She did not like that she had used nukes but then again, she did n't use them first. The Terrans were pissed, that was certain. Personally, she could have cared frak less about the Terrans. Before she could continue her thoughts, all hell broke loose. Marines were taking hits all around her. She drew her sidearm and began looking around for the source of the incoming fire. Suddenly, a tall figure stood behind her and before she could react, she had been knocked out.

The lieutenant had been listening to the conversation as well as listening to the news from the islands as he turned back to the two of them, "You two might want to hold," before he could finish alarms went off as a missile headed straight for them. Firing off the flares and moving with full thrust just as a Viper took out the missiles for him, taking a deep breath as the man turned to his passengers; "That was close but we'll begin preparing for the jump to the Colonial shipyards in one minutes," turning to his co pilot as they got back to work.

He was impressed by the pilot dodging a missile from the raider but now they were preparing to jump as he turned to Evanna, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you but there are SF's that would've been in prison if my father didn't want into their lives," peering out of the window, "the SFD started with the best intentions but even the best intentions can lead us straight to hell. Reprogramming a person, war, peace, war...more war. Normal people can't handle it and sadly enough it wears down our programming...we're all just human, just in some way we think we're better," at this point he knew he was mumbling after all even he knew what his father was doing was for the best. Hearing the countdown, he strapped in as he turned to Evanna; "I'll teach you a little here and there and well maybe you can teach me to be human," chuckling considering he knew even as a Gondawan there was room for improvement. Finally reaching one, the raptor jumped towards the shipyards were the fleet was now stationed with the battlestars tucked away in the docks.

Rachel stood there, looking over the body of the human Marine, Yolander. She smiled, then motioned to the two hybrids standing there. The humans were fast approaching Drast and this was their last chance of an escape. Terran forces had already landed near Minerva and were quickly heading this way. Another force, Colonial Marines, was coming from the north, having crossed from the city of Moy. The few remaining transports were loading up and were almost ready tot ake off. "Let's get her into the heavy raider and gather up the otehrs that were with her. It's time to leave, now that the Terrans were so kind as to inform of us where we could find General Yolander. Once we're on the basestar, we're jumping from this system for good. Get everyone possible and let's get out of here." Rachel knew if the Colonials discovered that someone from the Terran side had informed her where General Yolanders position was, there would be hell to pay and a fight between the humans themselves. That would be enough time to pack up everyone back on their planet and move to the new home world, far from this solar system and galaxy. One way or another, this war was coming to an end for Rachel and the others. The time had come to cut ties with the Cavils and his followers.

At the new Presidential office on the grounds of Corinth University, near the airport
Timeline: Three weeks after having arrived in the Capital
It had been almost three weeks now since J and Captain Markus, along with several of the new Quorum members and a security detail from the CMS Marauder, had arrived in the capital city. Having set up temporary space in the Mayors office and finally getting the word out to the citizens of Terra and the Fleet that the government was being re-formed, J was ready to finalize the announcement with a personal message to everyone.
The city was still in disarray and ruin from the massive Cylon attack a year ago so getting the media outlets to get their equipment to the capital and setting up the satellite feeds had taken much longer than expected and it was frustrating J to no end. Already the quarreling between the various factions had begun-the Federalists set against the Spartists, the Isolationists in the Southern Hemisphere against the Monarchists in the north, just south of the Capital, the Gondawans against the Expantionists, and the Quorum crying about being left out. J secretly wished he had just gone to the Independence Brig and not immersed himself in this debacle and experiment in futility.
What the frak was Ben Little thinking when he started to re-form the government? Doral was probably onto something when he disbanded the Colonial government, as illegal as it may have been. Looking at his new Chief Aide, Neko Goor (the former woman having decided to pursue a different path in the new government by accepting the post of Agriculture Secretary), J smiled and nodded that he was ready. Looking at the array of cameras and recording devices, J cleared his throat and read from the teleprompter in front of him.
"Ladies and gentlement of Terra, the Colonial and Terran Fleets, citizens of the Terran system, and mostly, our Cylon allies and fellow Colonial citizens: For those of you who do not yet know who I am, allow me to introduce myself. I am J Castorious, former Acting President of the 12 Colonies of Kobol and Colonial Marine. Ever since President Phineas Doral announced some almost two years ago the disbandment of the Colonial government, our combined societies have been in an upheval and in total disarray. Fortunately, the late President Benjamin Little saw the error of that decision and was in the process of re-forming the government when he was killed by Cylon forces, done so while saving several thousand souls doing what he knew best, being a warrior. We shall never forget his actions those months ago and for that reason, I am formally announcing the reforming of the Colonial government, a government that will be for all citizens of Terra and her fleets and stations and settlements. This action is effective immediately. In the coming days, I will be announcing the members of my cabinet and will be visiting the various ships and settlements, as well as condcuting a goodwill tour of Terra herself. I thank you all and may the Gods continue to look down upon us with favor."

The Frondal Isalnds were the first in the Southern Hemispher to be attacked. Within seconds of the riaders and heavy raiders jumping into the atmosphere, Frondal City and Nilm were devastated. The air defenses were still in a shambles from the last Cylon attack and ensuing invasion. Perhaps that was why the Cylons chose this place to attack first. WHatever the reason, there was now a large gap in the planets air defense network, a fact that would soon prove fata for the entire Southern Hemisphere. Already, tens of thousands of centurions and hybrids were once again on Terran soil. The few military units and personnel stationed there were massively outnumbered and didn't last beyond five hours of the attack.

As Filiona Cardona (NPC) Civilian Engineer
It was perhaps the worst job a person could have. Going from one de-salinization plant to another, checking the equipment and cleaning intake vents on all the supply lines. SO far, he had been here for 4 months and had managed to get about half-way through the job. Of course, he was all alone. he was tired but there was an end in sight. Taking a break, he grabbed his lunch bag and opened it.
"Consistently terrible food, aaahh, the life I have. You would think with all of our advances, the powers that be could come up with better pre-packaged food."
Suddenly he was startled by what sounded like a huge explosion far off in the distance. Getting up, he was suddenly knocked back down and thrown against the wall. Managing to get back to his feet, he made his way to the window and looked outside.
"Oh my gods!"

At approximately 1207 local standard time, a nuclear detonation destroyed Frondal City, Frondal Islands, Southern Hemisphere.
No communication has been established with the city or surrounding area at this time.

Entering the atmosphere, Gabe slipped on the rebreather while the radiological alarm began going off continuously as they entered the field with the computer monitoring the raptor itself. Radiation levels began to rise while he tried getting closer to the water but switched to hover mode; "Get as close as I could but still a hundred feet off the water," opening the bay doors as Dradis went offline. The cascade was imminent and he knew flight controls were at the end but he knew those in the back were being drenched in radiation.

Securing the cable to his back as he grabbed a sample container but now with the bay doors open it was starting to heat up for him. Lowering down on the winch, this was one of these risks Mike was talking about but once he had to take. Keeping steady breaths, he could hear the discussion about a biological substance now detected in the surrounding environment which they didn't have filters for. Suddenly jolted into the water, he gained the sample but he was now soaked in radioactive water as he peered up to see some of the thrusters burned out. The radiation had been frying their systems and for a Raptor meant it was slowly turning into a brick. Feeling the winch begin pulling him back up, he placed the sample container in his front pocket but knew something was wrong. His A.I had been working on fighting the radiation but now he had gone quiet which likely meant it was in safe mode. Grabbing John and Oliver's hand, they forced the bay doors secure while he stripped off the radioactive suit with the foam cleaning system not activating; "Gabe! Get us," dropping to his knees in pain as he felt the effects with his lungs filling with fluids, "just got kid," coughing up blood while injecting double the limit of anti-radiation meds into his body. Something was attacking him and his mind was now in survival mode while his brothers accessed the situation.

Something was attacking him and his mind was now in survival mode while his brothers accessed the situation. The six ventral thrusters dwindled down to just one by the time they got Jonathan back in but the damage was done. Forcefully ejecting the two spare tanks they had left as the valves stayed partially open with fuel slowly leaking out. Plotting a course towards the furthest military base, the computer highlighted the raptor in red which was right on queue with bolts now loose from the high radiation now exposing them to more radiation. Receiving an extra injection, he could hear the engines misfire indicating they were out of fuel as he tried shutting off the cabin but that system had failed. Coughing up blood, Gabe secured his straps as he yelled back to the rest of them; "BB," radiation or even the this biological substance was making it hard to focus for him, "BRACE," passing out shortly after as the Raptor sputtered out on its way into a forest.

Recon Drone - Frondal Islands
The drone flew straight and true over the water, heading for the blast site. No life was detected either in the immediate air or water. Dead marine life was everywhere tho. Arriving at the islands the drone gained some altitude and continued its scans. It spent the next few hours dividing the islands into sectors and taking detailed scans sector by sector. Any life detected was noted and catalogued.
Once done with the basics, it headed to the blast sight in what remained of the city. Only basic structure shapes remained. Everything else was blasted clean. Surprising there were some survivors emerging from underground structures. The drone ignored them besides the basic info. They would be dead soon anyways.
At the blast sight additional sensors were deployed for scanning. Samples were taken and stored in special containers. Cylon markers were found, catalogued and stored. The day wore on. Night came and went. And still the drone continued with its duties. As daybreak crested the islands horizon, the drone stopped. Turning around it shot back towards Fleshcrusher and the Raider.
The presence of the Star was noted. Coordinates were sent so as to avoid friendly fire.
