Joseph came to the hatch, knocking quickly. Waiting a few seconds, he opened it. Stepping inside, he smiled.
"Well, wanna earn some of that outstanding pay you two get?"
Looking at Colonel Martin, Joseph spoke.
"Colonel Martin, there's a Viper in the hangar bay that is being readied. Would you mind piloting it, give us some air cover until we are secure?"
Turning to Clayton, he spoke even quicker.
"Colonel Dualla, I know this sounds like you've been detailed to being a baby sitter, but I need you to see to it that the Judge and Ms. McPherson, as well as the Gondawan Gorno, are all boarded on one of the raptors. I'm sure you and Director Drexl have tons of work ahead of you. I just need you to make certain the Terran government doesn't go losing their people, not here anyways. I still need to figure out how to get those two traitorous Admirals to someplace safe so they can answer for their actions."
Joseph never did like sitting on the ground. Not one bit.

Moving a little further down the hall the Vice President heard a all too familiar sound. It was the sound of ship engines, the engines of a Gunstar no less. His fifty plus years in the Colonial Fleet made it easy for him to recognize the noise. Still with his gun pointed straight out in front he came to the room he had first entered when he arrived.
Scanning the room that now had a skylight in it thanks to the bombing. Ben moved a couple chairs out of the way when he heard another familiar sound. Though he didn't want to take the chance. It was obvious that the woman knew who he was. He moved toward the direction of where it came from.
"This is Vice President Benjamin Little of the 12 Colonies of Kobal. State your name."
The Seven said as he crept slowly with his pistol fixed on the area where the voice.

Clayton sighed at the Captain's request. He shared the last hug with Samantha and watched her disappear around the corner. When he was alone, he went to the quarters beside his, and knocked on the hatch. Though Markus didn't mention him in his charges, Clayton knew that he was supposed to take the Director aboard the Raptor. The hatch opened, and the sour look on Drexl's face told Clayton that the man did not appreciate being disturbed.
"Director, we're going on a little Raptor flight. We didn't come aboard with anything but the clothes on our backs, and that's how we're leaving." Clayton could see that Drexl didn't take too kindly to being spoken to like that, but the man was not stupid. Drexl stepped out of the hatch and fell in directly beside Dualla as the former Colonial continued to the next hatch, which he wrapped on.
"Judith, its Dualla and Drexl. Markus's orders, we're to leave on a Raptor immediately." He glanced at Drexl for any sign that the man reacted to his use of the Judge's first name. Whatever he felt, he masked it perfectly.

Demetrius had come out of his quarters, strapping his belt in place and adjusting the bag slung over his left shoulder. Walking up to the Colonial, he spoke.
"I take it there will also be a seat for myself and the Terran representative, Carlie? I only ask this because I take the fact nobody came to my quarters, it was presumed I know what is going on?"
Demetrius knew if given the chance, he and the Terran woman would be left behind. He could care less about the woman. He needed to get back to Gondawa. With a coup taking place, it would only be a matter of time before the Nationalists decided to make their move and with himself so far from home, those left in charge would take whatever steps necessary to protect their people, even if it meant bringing out in the open technology that wasn't supposed to exist anymore.
Demetrius didn't wait for a response. He turned and headed down the corridor towards the hangar bay. Carlie McPherson was on her own.

Judith took notice of the use of her first name. She also noticed the look, or lack thereof, on Drexl's face. She chuckled slightly before grabbing her pack. Slinging it over her right shoulder, she smiled at Clayton.
"Lead the way my good man. And we better get there before Gorno has the pilot take off without us. I wonder just exactly why I am going to the capital, it's been destroyed, at least the government compound has Any ideas Mr. Drexl?"
Judith of course would head to the nearest court, most likely the Third District. Judge Napolio's court. He would already have the contingency plan in effect. She just hated that his Judicial Constabulary were far more radical than they needed to be. Still, they were very effective. Judith would make contact with her own people once they were in Corinth.
Judith stopped along the corridor and banged on the hatch to her right.
"Carlie! Move your ass or find another ride home. We're leaving, now."
With that, Judith picked up her pace and caught up with Clayton and Drexl.

Carlie came running out of her quarters, dropping her pack. Grabbing it, she was still adjusting her boots, all the while trying to run down the corridor to catch up.
"WAIT! I'm coming. FRAK ME!"
Carlie dropped her purse, the contents spilling all over the deck. Stopping and bending down, she scooped the items up and stuffed them into the purse. Looking at the trio in front of her continuing to move away from her, she cursed them under her breath.
"Arrogant fraks. If I had my way, all of you would pay for the way you're treating me. In time, in time."
Carlie got up and ran down the corridor, finally catching up. Looking at the Judge, she made her feelings known.
"Thank you sooo much for being concerned about my welfare, Your Honor. I can only hope to repay you someday."

Clayton turned and stopped dead in front of Gorno.
"Mister, I don't know what your prejudice is, but you're my responsibility, and Gods be damned if I'm going to shirk it. Now act like the Ambassador you are. If this little chip on your shoulder poses a threat to the safety of this group, I will not hesitate to knock it off, and your block too, if need be." He turned his wrath to the fuming Carlie McPherson.
"The same goes for you. You don't have to be appreciative of getting out of here alive. If you continue to throw a tantrum, I will carry you over my shoulder to the Raptor while giving you the spanking you deserve." A sharp glance at Gorno let the man know that Dualla would not brook any side comments.
He gave to woman space to spit and snarl as long as she moved forward. He stepped alongside Drexl and spoke quietly.
"Director, our Raptor is about to exceed design specifications by goodly margin. I need your expertise to help keep it from disappearing into its own black hole." Drexl's brow furrowed at Clayton's comment. He knew exactly what it meant. Lastly, he strode forward to join Judith.
"Don't worry about Ambassador Gorno taking off ahead of the rest of us. I won't allow it." Before she could question, Clayton explained himself. "There's not enough room for the regular pilot with our group, so I'm the pilot."
Clayton had to admit that it would feel good to be back behind the controls of a Raptor. The craft was overlooked and scorned for the more glamorous Viper, but it packed it own punches and had its own bag of tricks.

Demetrius stood there, briefly, taking in the Colonial's comments. He started to respond but common sense took over. No, this was not a man to mess with and he was already aware of that fact. Walking towards the raptor parked in the hangar bay, Demetrius waited for the women to board before climbing inside. Cramped quarters was not the phrase that Demetrius thought of as he tried to situate himself. Looking at the Terran Representative, he forced a smile.
"Well, I guess asking for an in flight snack is probably not a good idea, huh?"

Carlie was in no mood for jokes or laughs. No, besides being publicly chastised by BOTH the Judge and the Colonial Colonel, she was now forced to sit next to the Gondawan. Oh how she despised that man. Her thoughts turned to the reception she was certain to meet once they arrived back at what was left of the government compound in Corinth. Why they were even going there was beyond her comprehension. She would just as soon go to Eresea City. At least that place had yet to be bombed. Looking at the Judge, and purposely ignoring Gorno, Carlie spoke above the sound of the raptors engines firing up.
"So, what exactly are we to do once we get to Corinth? I mean, what the hell is even there? I thought the place was nuked?"

Coming closer to the man, she extended her hand. "Mr. Vice-President, I am Marla Johanssen, Terran Agent and I'm here to get you to the Marauder, which from the sounds of things, has just arrived. From there, I need to get you to the Atlantia. I was supposed to get you to the Acheron, but she's in the shipyard. There are two of your Admirals, Montrose and Naguchi who need to be delivered to Atlatia's Commander and placed in their Brig. Something to do with them being involved with the coup that is taking place."

Clayton heard the question from Gorno.
"Ambassador, if we're going to be flying the way I think we are, any snacks would likely be ejected forcefully. So, everybody double check you harnesses and make sure they are tight." Clayton checked his own six-point. He turned his head to Judith. "I'll need help with the DRADIS. Two sets of eyes up front are more than twice as good as one." His next call was back to the ECO station.
"Director, this bird as only one FTL. I want you to make it function like it had two. The whole works- separate sets of co-ordinates and vectors, two phase-locks, two triggers. Can you pull it off?" Dualla missed his Hammerhead with its twin FTLs. That lent a tactical advantage that was unequalled.

At the Electronic Combat Officer's station, James had Dradis, weapons, engineering, navigation, the whole works. He smirked when Dualla called back.
"Is that all you need, Colonel?" he drawled dryly. It would be child's play. Frak, it was a Drexl patent. If this is what they gave me to work with, why did they bother? James worked with the Colonial-style drives, entering lines of code to reprogram the computers to do as Dualla asked. "No offense, but this computer is so antiquated, it'll barely accept the inputs. Don't worry, I won't make us disappear into a black hole. But I won't guarantee that for whatever's around us."

On Board the CMS Marauder
As Lieutenant Horatio Hornblower (NPC)
Straining to hear the voice on the other end of the wireless, Horatio pressed the earmuffs closer to his ears. Suddenly, he could make out the message. Turning towards Captain Markus, he yelled over the noise on the Bridge.
"Captain! I'm picking up a message from someone stating they have the Vice-President and are heading this way."

Hopping into the Number Two Seat, Juidth picked up the headset and buckled herself in. Not exactly something she was used to, but the memories of flying came back to her instantly. Looking the console over, she was satisfied she wouldn't cause them to crash or blow up upon take off. Looking over at Clayton, she smiled.
"Just like riding a bicycle, you never forget. Ready when you are Colonel."

While the pod extended clear of the Marauder's main engines, Dualla brought all of the Raptor's engines to hot condition. A green light announced the locking of the pod in the extended position, and the aft hatch opened. A puff lifted the Raptor from the deck and an opposing one steadied it. He sat for a protracted moment, letting the sounds, smells, and feels of the craft inundate his soul. He closed is eyes for a moment, then opened them. A wry smile expanded across his features. "Showtime," he stated, then he flipped a selector to direct power to the retrorockets and slammed the power levers to their stops. Everybody aboard lurched into their belts as the Raptor sprang backwards out of the bay. Reversing the thrust again, Clayton brought the twin main engines up to military thrust. As the Raptor seemed to head back into the bay it had just exited, he rolled to the right and pulled on the stick as he applied right rudder. The Raptor shot away from Marauder in a manner more like a Viper being shot from its launch tube. Continuing to pull the stick, Clayton established a course away from the merchant warship. Thrust levers were still at their forward stops, and G forces built. Clayton wanted to get away from Marauder as quickly as possible in case one or both ships were targeted.
"You'd be surprised what one of these ships can do in the right hands. A lot of Cylons have been fooled into thinking they're slow, sitting ducks." When they were twenty kilometers away from Marauder, Clayton took them int a pattern of evasive maneuvers designed to confuse any firing solution. A quick scan of the dradis, and he backed off of the throttles.
"Okay, where to?" he asked Judith.
