Answering her back just as another alarm went off completely pertaining to his right wing as it fell off; "I got you Brook...just lost my right wing so our flight back might have to be in one viper and that being yours."
Holding it steady while smoke billowed from his fighter, he knew he had to keep it together and not make it show that he is losing control especially to Jack who was partly responsible for this.

Turning his attention to the gunnery crews, his expression lightened up a little bit as the mix between the guns of the white fang, the guns of the other colonial battlestars, and the nuke from clay, ripped the second basestar in half, sending hunks of molten metal in every direction. Once the basestar's brilliant fireball died away, the cylon raiders and support vessels began to jump away from the battle. One by one, little flashes of light, either indicating a destroyed cylon ship, or a cylon ship jumping out, lit up the sky for another minute before the battle completely ended. Jack then sighed a bit before he got back on the horn and contacted his wings, and ace and myth
"All fighters, you are clear for dock. Ace and Myth. the cylons in the crew, or the humans for that matter, will not take kindly to anyone getting shot, especially since they didn't want to come to this fight in the first place. So leave the sidearms in the vipers."

Seeing the basestar explode and the rest of the raiders jump away or get blown up she made way towards the White Fang still wondering if it is the right thing to do or not. Cracking her neck as she entered the Fang. "And I do not do well being welcomed with threats nor does Ace so I recommend you make sure that deck is clear of those possibilities to a minimum."
Switching back to the private channel between Ace and herself. "I know he said sidearm and I know you brought an smg so that stays in the cockpit got it. I don't wont blood shed....well having an idea how this might go I take that back I don't want bullets flying."
Slowing her fighter down as she gently landed her viper onboard the Fang she waited for it to get secured as she kept her comm on. Turning in her seat to watch Alex land his viper looked like shit even though hers indeed had bullet holes in it as well, it was clear they were a bit rusty. Her eyes locked with Alex's as their birds were parallel to one another as they were secured. She took a deep sigh not knowing if she was ready for this conversation with Jack or not.
She knew one thing for sure she wasn't getting out of the viper till Jack got his ass on the landing platform or if Alex was dumb enough to get out to talk to the other pilots.

With Myth as well as Ace prividing cover, Clayton felt a good bit more secure about being a sitting duck. Now that he and BlueBird were ready, he played over in his mind what Yogi had said, and he could justify the next decision he took.
"Okay, BlueBird, hold tight. Jumping to the Star in three....two....one.....zero." He turned the right hand jump key and FTL one distorted space around the barely-joined space fighters. Before the first flash, they were drifting serenely through the fleet. The next, they were drifting across the upper surface of the base Star. Clayton hadn't been this close to one since the time he'd flown assault on Freyja to rescue TwoPair.
"Diamond to BlueBird, we're gonna give it a few seconds. If we hear nothing, I'm taking responsibility for the next action we take."

I pick up the headset and put it on then push the mic. *Acheron Hammerhead this is Rear Admiral Playtime, you have permission to launch the nuke then jump out of the blast zone. Rear Admiral Playtime out*

Clayton audibly sighed relief. He keyed the response.
"Roger, Atlantia, confirming authorization of nuclear option," Dualla replied. "Bluebird, you heard that, I have the FTL ready to return us. Launch the nuke. Repeat, launch the nuke."
His left hand grasped the Jump key for FTL #2 that would take them back to their Initial Point. As soon as the missile left the Viper's belly rack, the Hammerhead would take them home.

Lexi looks at the Dradis and then turns to Commander Justice.
*I am detecting a nuclear warhead in the immediate area, Commander. Would you like to JUMP away from this battle?* she sits ready to instruct the HYBRID to make the JUMP.

I put out my cigarette by mashing it into the ashtray then walk over to the Data Stream and ram my hand into the cool gel. *No, I'll do it, Lexi. We're getting out of here. I am tired of this and we need to carry on and get back to our planet again* I close my eyes and tell the HYBRID to JUMP us back to our planet.
The HYBRID springs up from her sleep and says *JUMP* and the star vanishes in a blinding FLAAAAAAAAAASH of light.

I scream to myself as I punch in the abort code. >No sense in wasting a perfectly good nuke, or out running the blast and fallout if it's only gonna hit space<With a great sigh of relief, I see that the armed warhead disengages and cools down. "DiamondClay, this is BlueBird... did not fire, repeat did not fire. It looks like the radiological signature was enough to scare 'em away. Maybe another day, over."

Clayton had seen the flash as well, and he began to twist the jump key.
"Roger, BlueBird, I'm jumping us out of here before the spacial aftershocks hit us. Hang on!" Like a Raptor jumping within fifty yards of a Battlestar and tearing the hull apart, being this close to a ship with as much mass as a Basestar and not taken by it could result in their Viper and Hammerhead being separated before jumping at the least, being swatted like flies at the worst.
A much smaller FLASH appeared where the big one was. Another small FLASH marked the reappearance of the barely-joined fighters in the midst of the fleet. The Viper and the Hammerhead suddenly threw each other apart. The Viper tumbled forwards and the Hammerhead rolled to starboard. That kept the two from colliding.
Alarms were sounding for both FTL's of the XF-01E. Clayton turned both keys to the deactivated position as an emergency stop. That didn't deactivate them. Clayton called out over the general frequency so all can be heard.
"BlueBird. Get out of here at max acceleration. Both FTLs are overloading! Shutdown is impossible. All Colonial fighters clear this space pronto! Am attempting to jettison and fly clear myself!"
His hands were more than full. He was flipping the toggle covers of both FTL jettison switches. As soon as he flipped the switch he slammed the thrust levers of all four main drives to kick the Hammerhead away. The second switch was flipped.
A large portion of the belly of the bomber bewteen and behind the air intakes broke free of the main hull and pushed away on a pair of upwards-facing rockets. As the ungailnly bomber began to accelerate away on four tongues of blue fire, the FTLs overloaded and disappeared in two ragged FLASHES as the drives depared from the known universe.
Onboard the Hamerhead, Clayton had dialed the engines beyond their maximum safe thrust. They were self-destructing to provide the biggest push possible, and he didn't know if they would work. He was glad that the inertial dampeners were still working. Then, they failed, and he was slammed back into his seat at over 20Gs. He felt consciousness begin to fade when the engines sputtered out, leaving him drifting.
"This is DiamondClay declaring an emergency. I'm going to need a Raptor to come by and catch my escape pod." With that, he reached down and pulled two black-and-yellow-striped handles. Explosive bolts detonated and a pair of rocket thrusters pushed the twin cockpits of the XF-01E away from the drifting hulk. Auxiliary battery power kept the basic systems operative such as minimal life support and the rescue beacon.

I kick in my thrusters to full gear making my way back to the Atlantia, hoping to out run the explosion of the hammerhead. After the explosion, I bank back toward DiamondClay to get a visual. I see him and my DRADIS picks up a weak Colonial transponder. I manuever back around searching the skies, and my CAG is nowhere to be seen. >ooooh this can't be good<I decrease thruster speed, set my reverse azimuth, engage my auto pilot, and start running a systems check to ensure the little tumble didn't do any serious damage. >Ok everything appears to be operational, though the hull's got a little cosmetic damage to it. Wait a sec, would DiamondClay have operational wepons or radio systems onboard his escape pod?...I suppose it's not likely if he's got a radio if he's transimitting a rescue beacon... Can the cylons pick up the same becon? Am I alone out here? "CIC this is BlueBird. Standby for SITREP, Break."
"Cylon Basestar has jumped, nuclear force was not used. Break."
"I do not have a visual or DRADIS signature on Ace, Rose, or Myth, I may be alone out here with DiamondClay, who may not have a functional radio. Break."
"DiamondClay has encountered an FTL malfunction, I have a visual on his escape pod, it appears to be entact. I do not know if he has a means to defend himself in the event his rescue beacon is targeted... Requesting permission to stay and defend DiamondClay's position until rescue aircraft arrives. Over."

Following her into the cockpit, he sat down in the cockpit before having her sit down on top of him; feeling a pain in his knuckles as gripped the controls before placing his earpiece in. Noticing Brook turning around to face him as he closed the canopy, he turned his attention to her as the ground crews pushed them back to the elevator; "I know and I'm not leaving after what Jack just did...its alright I was trying to hide it from you."
Kissing her passionately, he didn't want to pull away while the ship indicated they were clear; flipping on the engines before they flew into open space. Pulling away, he kept his hands on the controls before speaking softly into his earpiece; "This is the CAG requesting clearance to land along with Myth...sorry about the delay but we needed to discuss a few things with the White Fang and it is clearly marked that I requested and cleared for that talk. Requesting a med team on the hanger deck and clearance to land."
