Colonial fighters piled in with their characteristic agressiveness, as bad as the single-mindedness of Raiders when they threw themselves at a target. The result was the same: mass annihilation. Scar and several other Raiders swept through the firing solution of Ares' main gun, and a few of the Colonials followed them before the railgun began to fire. He knew what would be used: a mix of incindiery, fragmentation, and proximity. The incindieries would spray hot metal in a circular pattern, the fragmentation would expand as soon as it left the muzzle into a cloud of shot, and the proximity shells would explode when they got withing killing range of Colonial ships. Those were semi-guided, able to change course from the straight trajectory of the gun. This weaponry could cut a Battlestar apart, and could fire nuclear shells. The EMP of nukes would be counterproductive here.
A sudden impulse flashed through Tiberius' mind. Scar had picked up something faint and directional. It could be anything, it could be nothing, and they may find nothing. He gave Scar the approval, and sent a message to CIC.
"This is X-21. We've picked up a sensor ghost, and are investigating."

Tiberius picked up the response from the CCC. He knew from the voice that it was a Three who was speaking. His mind went to the duty rosters. She could be the new Communications Officer, or Centar as they used to be called back in the days of Kilrathi, Kona, and Sciclops. While Scar piloted the Raider and launched the attacks while evading the meatsacks, Tiberius remembered a D'Anna he had once known, back on the old 106. She had helped him when he had returned with his knee shattered by a Colonial bullet, and had been a Medical Cylon, so she performed the surgery that had replaced the knee. Even then, if it was unnecessary to kill and force a resurrect of an injured Cylon, it was done that way because of the trauma of the rez. That was the incident that Tiberius was sure got Nikita to notice him, for she was a nurse. Who knows, she may have tended to him while he was asleep. When he went back in with the brain injury, she was head nurse, and some of her treatments were most unusual. Since then, he and the Six had been in a roller-coaster relationship that had intensified when Knot had vanished. Had Nikita been responsible for that?
Tiberius found himself wondering if the D'Anna now had any relationship beyond the usual sistership of the Cylon humanoids. Had she also known of the Two in a previous assignment, or was it all coincidental? He would find out one day.
The FTLs almost instantaneously spooled up, and the X-21 symbiont disappeared in a flash.

Rebecca enters the airspace of the Ares, knowing if anything goes wrong they would have to resurrect on the ship. A catch 22 from hell. She gets her weapons ready, hiding them and tucking them in her holsters on her back and legs. She grabs the bag and puts in on, having a few little surprises. She makes her way to the hanger bay doors and enters.

Rilee pressed her mic to answer "Yes, I am right on your wing, Lieutenant Frost. Looks like that's it dead ahead" she had finally caught sight of the dreaded basestar. Her pulse began to quicken and she could feel the perspiration as her adrenaline kicked in. "Cag this is Lt. Patrick. What's the plan here" she was not sure if they were landing and capturing or firing on this thing. She was ready to do whatever the CAG decided she needed of her. Rilee quickly went over the weapons inventory she had on board in case she needed to fire soon. Everything was familiar but it had been an awfully long time since she had flown against a real enemy and this was no drill. This was the real deal here. Live or die! And Rilee was not quite ready to meet the Gods of Kobol just yet. Shay wasn't used to giving out orders, or having people look to her. This still felt knew, and she had to take a deep breath. She kept her eyes firmly on the basestar for a moment before pressing the comm and connecting to the other pilots. *We're to engage the raiders and make sure the teams make it to the 109 safely. Once they get in and out, we'll cover them until the get back to the Independence.* The Lieutenant kept her hands steady, ready to fire as soon as they got close enough.

Raiders pour out of each landing bay port, filling the airspace with protection of the ship. Ds has her face covered with her stealth helmet, knowing that would only buy her some time. A cluster of heavy raiders begins to form around DS as she begins firing upon the meatsacs.
**Let's see if Rebecca had the guts to show up.** thinking to herself as the fight blazes on.

Cherise finishes her rounds, making sure there are no sneak attacks since the virus outbreak. The humans have been quiet for so long, too long for her liking.
***Cherise reporting in from routine scouting. No signs of humans...***
