*Reaching over and above for the scanners, flipping the switch. Gripping the duel yoke flying in high and right, passing into the hanger-bay.*

"Reporting in Commander nothing spotted out here, we did pick up several ION trails. Two trails heading behind us and one big trail ahead, heading back now."

As soon as the Raider was clear of its bay, Tiberius' mind came alive with the images from the optical sensors placed over the skin. He saw space outside of his fighter beyond the small canopy at the top, which gave a very limited view. Us usually flew with that opaque because it became a distraction to the much better perspective of the electro-optics. as if he were moving his head and lifting out of the seat, he could look around, ahead, back. It had taken weeks to get used to this when he had first been injected with the DNA of Scar. Now that he was comfortable with it, it was second nature. A command, and a virtual DRADIS picture was superimposed over the panorama of space.
Tiberius watched the Arm of the Star climb and narrow, until he passed the tip. Now he was truly out in space, beyond the boundary of the Star's 'reach'. He did not so much give a command as send a signal like he would to lift a hand. It entered the datastream from his right hand and brought the main drives up to five percent thrust. When he did that, the head restraints of the conformal seat wrapped themselves more closely. His head was now immobilized in the comfort of the seat. The canopy opaqued and armored plates slid into place. He and Scar were now one again, and he admitted missing the feeling. It was an intimacy unlike any other he shared, including a woman. It was not sexual or romantic. It was actually being alone with himself, because the X-21 was him. And he was it.

They had traveled fifty kilometers from the 109, reaching the Jump point to the recon grid coordinates. He liked taking off in different directions and traveling varying distances each time he left for a patrol. That way, the unique signature of the X-21s FTL will not lead any Colonials directly to the 109.
In his mind's eye, he saw the coordiante space of the destination appear, and felt the Jump calculator within Scar make its computations. Tiberius believed that if he was attached to Scar long enough, he would eventually be able to make those calculations instantly in his own mind. When the Jump was laid in, Scar gave him the signal. He sent a mental impulse through the datastream, and with a FLASH and a 'tsing', the Tiberius/Scar hybrid lifeform vanished.

Scar verified that the communication was authentic. It had the latest codes for the Star, which matched Scar's latest. Without them, this advanced form of 'IFF' had rendered their coms invulnerable to misdirection by Colonial measures.
The spherical DRADIS that Scar was feeding into Tiberius's mind through the datastream showed nothing. Nothing had really been expected on this frontier location of the Empire. It was more of a routine patrol, but the X-21's upgraded FTL gave it range like a Heavy Raider, and the two of them were often sent out as part of the long-range pickets. In fact, the Heavy Raider that had been on station for the past ten cycles had jumped out at precisely the same moment Scar had jumped in, so only one signature would appear on a Dradis.
"Tiberius to Commander Sydell, all is clear. No other ships, no debris, no anomalies."
Tiberius was leery of this new model. He remembered the days when the great program to introduce live births as a way to perpetuate the Cylons was shared with the Legion. He also remembered how it was it explained that the current models could also be modified to give live births between Cylons without the fetus dying. He could not forget Nikita's increased advances on him after that date. It only showed him she wanted control of Scar so badly that she would be winning to bear Tiberius's child in order to achieve her end.

Suddenly a Raider comes into the 109's Air Space. It shows a Cylon ID belonging to the 106 and Lexi in particular. The Raider moves closer to the Star.................

Getting away from the Basestar, he linked up with the raider's hive mind as he closed the eye of it before preparing to make his jump. He knew once he emerged from the jump, he'd have to go somewhere to plot and maybe even link with the ground units. Jumping, he knew he needed to prove himself but the question for him is to whom. Prove that his models are worth the war? Or even that through his traitorious act that he may redeem himself.

shooting away from the basestar, Mal smiled as he watched lexi enjoy the flight. It felt wonderful to fly and the freedom thereof. the only thing that kept him from fully enjoying the fact was that the choice of placing him on a cylon ship as a cylon was not his own. Mal wiped the thought away from his mind and banked the raider to make a roll around the nearest basestar fork. The raider smoothly twisted around the fork as if spiraling down the length of a screw. Once he came near the end, Mal gently rubbed over the console as the raider barrel-rolled along its trajectory for a second before leveling out.
"So smooth. so fluid..... so free" he sighed with a smile as he then banked the craft around and let the raider pilot itself for a bit as he leaned back, obviously content.

Emerging from the jump, the heavy raider flew straight for the basestar as the fighters outside seemed to not mind it while others escorted it in. Getting up from his seat in the back, Alex stood by the Centurion pilots as they headed to the hanger while he opened a channel to the CCC; "I've got news from Terra...the war there may be short of the Colonials and Terrans."

The gray Raider, nearly the size of a Heavy but designed for one, winged it's way toward home. The flattened fuselage ended in two arms that pointed forward. Other than that basic resemblance to the standard configuration, the Raider was a one-of-a-kind ship. Within it were one-of-a-kind occupants.
"This is Tiberius James to 109-CCC. We request docking clearance, Bay Three." He was speaking for both himself and Scar the lifeform intelligence that was a highly-evolved Raider Organism crafted by the IL-series Lucifer from TJ's own DNA. It was an extension of himself, the other half of the symbiotic creature that piloted the fighter.
He had heard the communication several minutes ago. He could hear, though Scar, all Cylon wireless. Scar was more of a Hybrid than most would realize or even believe possible from the base design. That is what the Cylons were good at: taking simpler life platforms and modifying them. What Lucifer had done was just a part of it. What had just been wrought with the new human-Cylon crossbreeds had been another part of it.
The one on his mind, though, was one of the originals created by Saul and Ellen Tigh. To him, they could not be equalled. That the new models were half-human was already a strike against them. They did not have the mental and physical prowess of the creations of the Tighs. The Six that he knew was aboard was one of the more special ones. She had been his Commander before the incident that caused him to deactivate and resurrect from the unusual set of codes that was part of his programming. It was that programming that made Lucifer choose him for the Great Experiment that resulted in the joint entity of TJ/Scar.
The gray Raider circled in the holding pattern, waiting for clearance.
