Eddie starts to chuckle at D's impatience.... Patience L T, Patience. Those 'meatsacs' really have no idea as to what is about to happen.....
Eddie then sets to business....... Tactical, launch the strike..........
TACTICAL: Aye sir, launching the strike... raiders drop out of their berths like bats, fly clear of the star and jump to the attack coordinates... Strike is away...
Very well, HELM, jump the ship to Rally point Yankee and stand by to move the ship 30 kilometers away for safety margin............
HELM: Aye sir, jumping the ship.... the star completes the jump. The Helm immediately activates the SLD's and begins the standoff maneuver......... Jump successful, moving to stand off position.......
Very well..... Eddie now waits for the strike to return......
after a few minutes the Helm responds .... arrived at stand off position, activating station keeping..........
Very well.........

D'Anna is satisfied that the strike is underway. She nods at the Commander and takes her seat again at the communications console. Then the star makes a smooth flawless jump to rally point Yankee.
"Was the strike successful? Did we destroy the enemy, Commander?" D'Anna nearly salivates with the desire to know the results of the Commander's execution of the attack.
She gets up and walks over to the Dradis to see the debris field and is surprised to see the target seems to have jumped away but there remains a substantial amount of debris on the Dradis.

At the rally point, the attack raiders are the first to return, followed shortly by the three heavy raiders. Eddie places his hand in the data stream to order a hostile challenge to the inbound star fighters, and when he receives the proper IFF countersign, he removes his hand.......... he also reviews the battle assessment reports that come in from the heavy raiders....
Tactical, recover the strike as they return. Helm prepare to jump back to the Asteroid field; we need a safe place to hide while we look for this wily ship.... Both stations acknowledge the orders and carry them out. Eddie now looks over at D, who is obviously upset at the lack of success in destroying the target............ Easy there L T, that Commander is one cool customer. He did EXACTLY what I would have done in those circumstances. Any failure was my fault. I had the missile strike launched TOO far out, which allowed the Commander time to jump the missiles. I will NOT be making that mistake again. Eddie now has to plan his next move......

D'Anna listens to the Commander apologize and she shakes her head. "May I suggest we send out some Drones to try to track this human? Send a few out in all directions and see what they can find?" D'Anna wonders where the human has skipped off to. "The Drones should be able to track his tyllium refuse as if he left us a trail of bread crumbs" she has to smile at the thought of sending out the Drones and locating the human once again.

Eddie chuckles at D's suggestion........ way ahead of you Lieutenant.... Eddie motions her over to the DRADIS plotting screen behind his chair ...TAC'..... and motions to the Tactical Officer to join them. Once the three are at the screen.... well people, this is the way I see it................. Eddie points to the first contact point ............ the L T first detected the gunstar here..... then he points to his first recon detection .....we first detected him here...... and then points to the battle location ....... and intercepted him here....... The three points make an ominous straight line. This was his course.... traces the line between the three points this coupled with the fact that there is nothing here for at least 3 light years in any direction tells me one thing; he was looking for something..... the fact that this was a gunstar and not a battlestar reinforces this opinion. Perhaps the colonials have lost a ship out here ..... points again to the battle point ............I think he'll be back..... not maybe exactly here, but somewhere in this void. We need to find out why he was out here .....I propose that we send out single raider reconnoiters; one to the battle point here, six more to explore the area around the battle point, and one each to the nearest star systems to try to find out where he jumped to...These raiders are to be armed with two tactical nuclear ship-to-ship missiles, and if they contact either the gunstar or what the gunstar was looking for, they are to attack said vessel via FTL jump to 500 meters directly astern, fire the nukes, jump out to 50 kilometers, and observe the attack. They are to target the FTL drives and hopefully take out the sublight drives as well. If the attack manages to take out the FTL's, the raider is to return immediately to report said action, that we may launch a second larger strike to finish off the ship. ..........any thoughts people.... ..

D'Anna follows the Commander's finger as he traces the lines. She begins to raise up her right eyebrow then looks over at the Commander. "I think this is an excellent plan. He will never suspect we have figured out his mission. I would say we do exactly as you have suggested, Eddie and get those raiders out there immediately. The longer we wait the more time he has to find whatever ship he is hunting. I hope we can find it first for him." D'Anna laughs loudly as she stands up and crosses her arms.

Suddenly the Dradis begins sending out ALARMS of a Raider last known as assigned to the Basestar Freyja. D'Anna walks over and confirms the signal is that of Tiberius James and smiles as she looks at the Commander. "Looks like TJ has found us, Commander." D'Anna leans over the Dradis as she thinks how great it will be to have a pilot like TJ in their fleet.
D'Anna opens a channel to the Raider "Welcome to the 109, Tiberius James. Landing Bay twenty is open and ready for your landing. Once landed please report to Commander Eddie in the CCC, D'Anna out" she looks pleased as she watches his approach.

After hearing D's response, Eddie looks over at 'TAC', who's evil smirk signifies his approval. The XO, having listened in, is already issuing the orders.
As Eddie turns to go back to his 'chair' the DRADIS proximity alarm goes off. IFF hostile challenge reply indicates another cylon vessel has just jumped in. The hybrid automatically dispatches CAP interceptors to the craft as it prepares for an emergency jump, but holds the order to actually jump upon receipt of the IFF countersign being cylon. Eddie looks at DRADIS, and again the configuration is odd; nothing he has seen. He is just about to give orders to escort the craft in, but D beats him to the punch. He smiles briefly, thinking to himself that good junior officers are hard to find, and returns to his chair. Lieutenant.............. Since you seem to know this pilot, would you see to escorting him here, if you please...........

Tiberius acknowledges.
"Affirmative, Landing Bay Twenty. Please have an area set aside that is segregated from the rest of the landing bay. Scar has some ... special ... needs." He hoped that he would not be interrogated over the wireless, even with Cylon encryption, about the particulars of his X-21."
The Star had vectored a CAP towards them. In his head, the spherical DRADIS display that came through the datalink showed course, speed, closing velocity, time to interception, and rated each by threat level. He had to give Scar a command to stand down, or the X-21 would have engaged all of them simultaneously. He had already subjected his damaged body to more pounding in the battle with the Colonials than was wise, and he did not want to do anything that would be terminal.
The Automated Landing System signaled that it was ready to guide them in, but Tiberius enjoyed manual approaches too much. He knew that Scar did as well.

Eddie is almost in a trance waiting for news from the reconnoiters when a message is received of a virus infecting one of the drones. Eddie immediately shoves his hand into the control liquid and orders the message purged from all data banks. He also activates anti-virus software to ensure that the star has not itself been infected. Very quickly it is verified that the virus was of cylon origin, quite possibly from the 109's raider itself. This will make purging any remnant of the virus VERY easy. Eddie is at a loss as to how one of his own raiders could infect itself with its own virus............................

D'Anna walks down the passageway and finally reaches the CIC where she shoves the door open rather abruptly and walks in with TJ following her.she walks down the passageway and finally reaches the CIC where she shoves the door open rather abruptly and walks in with TJ following her.
She sees Commander Eddie and he seems to be concentrating on an unknown dilemna of some sort. She walks over to the Commander and begins the introductions.
"Commander Cyogreeddie, I would like to introduce the notorious Mr. Tiberius James, TJ as he likes to be called." she nods toward TJ as she speaks to Eddie "I am sure you will be able to put his skills to good use. He has brought us his "pet" SCAR as well to add to the fleet." she purses her lips as she watches the Commander's reaction to TJ hoping he will be accepted. She knows TJ is an unusual Cylon and has a few Quirks to be sure but she also knows that Eddie is very capable of dealing with anything that may pop up unexpectedly from the Two Model.

Eddie doesn't look up from the control interface; he is still making sure that the virus is indeed purged. Tell me there Mister T J, what special accommodations do I need to make for 'Scar's' special needs....
Just then a raider jumps into the airspace and squawk's as Raider 7. It immediately begins transmitting data...
Detected multiple nuclear detonations at battle site. Rallied at same. Raider 1 missing, presumed destroyed by nuclear missiles. Base star at battle coordinates. Assume star is responsible for detonations.... awaiting instructions..........
Eddie looks over at the Tactical display.........That's odd........... Eddie, without looking over ..........TAC, get me some more eyes out there........... one heavy recon with eight standard escorts.......
Tactial: Aye sir, launching now.......... The heavy raider streams out of hangar 12 moments later and is joined by 8 raiders as escort. Once they clear the immediate star airspace they jump away....
........Also recover raider 7 for refuel............
TAC does this without a reply...
L T, assume the COMM station if you please, we have a bit of a situation here. It would appear that one of our brothers decided to shoot down one of my reconnoiters...........they also tried to infect us with one of our own computer viruses............

Tiberius was not even acknowledging D'Anna's 'pet' comments about Scar. For now, let them think that he is basically a standard Raider Organism that TJ had developed some affection for. They don't need to know yet the simbiotic relationship that the X-21 and the Two share. They just need to know specific do's and don't's that will ensure that Scan doesn't blow most of the Landing Bay to bits.
He was about to list his requirements for Scar when the Star came under attack. TJ remained quiet and observed the way this Commander dealt with intruders. He did seem to be well-versed in his complement of Raiders and in how to use them effectively. Instead of ordering Raiders and letting some subordinate do the logistics, this 'Eddie' was stating exactly what he wanted. Smart...but does that mean he doesn't have any officers with the same tactical abilties? That could be a liability of he ever was put out of commission.
Without a word, TJ walks directly to an open spot in a datastream tank and thrusts his hand in. He didn't know how much he could receive, it was likely coded, but he should get basic tactical information that the Commander was describing verbally at least. He can get some info. The space he chose was right next to the Comm station that D'Anna had assumed.
He was about to ask a question, but held back and allowed the CCC staff of this Star to do their jobs. In this instance, quiet observation was the best course of action.
