Having arrived at the new government center and her new office, Jasmine began unpacking boxes and putting things in order. Having moved from the old government compound to the Marine Base north of the city was a hurried event, having taken place over a year ago. But now that the government compound had been demolished and rebuilt, it was time to bring the central government back to the Capital, to show not only the citizens of the entire planet but the city's leadership that the government was firmly committed to rebuilding and was again in control of the situation. Calling out to her Staff in the outer office, Jasmine inquired as to the whereabouts of a particular box.
"Has anyone seen the box marked PERSONAL ITEMS? I really need that box."

As Gunnery Sergeant Marcus O'Ra (NPC Marine)-Personal Security to the SecDef
Marcus followed the SecDef to her office but stayed outside in the waiting area. His orders were to be with her at all times, however he also knew that she required her personal space. Besides, he wasn't quite ready to see his boss walking around half nude, not just yet. Positioning himself to the right of the door, he stood there, staring at absolutely nothing but being mindful of everything around him. Outside, in the hallway were 2 more Marines, standing guard at the entry into the office. Of course, there were teams of roving Marines wandering all over the building and Marines posted outside the Main Entrance to the building itself. The Defense Ministry had its own building, although over all it was smaller than the former building but they didn't have to share space with any other Ministry or Department in the government.
Looking at his watch, he realized it was now noon. Soon his relief would be arriving so he could grab a bite to eat. He had, of course, brought something from his quarters so he wouldn't have to leave and go downstairs to the Galley. He preferred to step into the break room and eat his lunch. The noise and all the people in the Galley always gave him a headache.
