Standing on the beach under the Hellion cyan sky, this was an important day for him and one he hoped that would change his life. Dressed in his ceremonial black uniform with his 1st Lieutenant ranks on his shoulders and the few commendations from his already decade long career.
He met Avina during his basic when he broke his leg and she was the nurse on duty and now they were getting betrothed. Speaking softly, he had it all memorized while the robotic waiters were handing out drinks; "Some would say I procrastinated to get here and well they're right. I can face down an entire platoon but coming home to you and kneeling down was something out of my league. I can promise you that I'll come home to you, my love, your a piece that I've been missing all my life," blushing as he carried on with the priest to get out the rings. Noticing Jon walking away with his finger in his ear, there was something going on but he would ask afterwards...suddenly he got hit with a mist of blood from Avina. Crawling to her body, he listened to her final words before slipping away... Waking up in his bunk, Jake had never took off his wedding ring after that day and he had been fighting since. Slowly starting to slip on his gear, his last couple months has been having him recruit for the Retribution program including Sergeant Conner. Securing his gear with his heavy overcoat made to cover over his blades and pistols; "Extraction is at the embassy but we've got a lot of bad between us and the extraction."

Waking up from a night from under the stars, Anthony sat up in his bed with baggy simple pants on and his body covered in tattoos of his people. His entire life, he had been preparing himself for the role of Chieftain for the 20 tribes of Hellion Prime. Short of the modern society on the planet, there was also nomadic tribes that spanned the entire world that were united behind a Chieftain and a small Council that worked alongside the other government. Things have been this way for hundreds of years and each Chieftain carried the history of the first Nomads.
Throwing on his black robes, Tony grabbed his long rifle with his belt before leaving his small hut and seeing an odd looking plane landing at the runway. Covering over his head with a hood, Anthony joined up with Chieftain Dyce to meet with the outsiders. Sand sifted through his sandals, the two of them were quiet till the Chieftain recognized the man who was in dark blue Nomadic robes; 'We here there is a war present.'
Listening to the other man, Anthony could tell that he had an old Nomadic patch; 'Yes, I came to ask for your best fighter. Retribution is at play.'
The Chieftain recognized the words as he turned to Anthony, pointing him out as the man spoke once more; 'Anthony Conner is my best...we respect Retribution but protect him too.'Throwing on his desert uniform, Tony listened to Jake but couldn't believe that they were sacrificing thousands of men to extract just the two of them; "Do they know that they are throwing away their lives," questioning the man as he prepared his rifles and ammunition. Unlike Jake, Tony didn't like people sacrificing themselves for him just in the name of a project that he had been volunteered into. Attachments:

Running along the debris with Jon and Zane, it was insane how these three men from 2 different Divisions were now working together to reach the government building. Carrying the old trustworthy Quicksilver rifle, Jake focused through the scope to see Marines fighting the bots as he whispered to them; "Front is covered so let's sneak around."
Taking point, Jon was a Colonel in the Advance Tactics and Fighting Division and long time friend of Jake's since training. The friendship actually started in a disagreement between them over the use of Marines and now it seems sacrificing some for the greater good was worth it. Most of them wore civilian clothing with the Retribution patch attached to their biceps for identification. Moving through buildings to prevent the drones from predicting their path, the same drones that they made for defense were now hunting them down. Dropping down through a secret path via sewers, the trace amounts of methane gas would differ the drones from chasing them.
Whispering to Jake, Zane knew Retribution was the brainbrain of these two men but never thought it would ever be enacted; 'How did you know this day would come?'
Whispering, Jake had seen when the Terrans came here and the collapse of the space elevator but Retribution wasn't made for this; "When those Terrans arrived, we were expecting an invasion but not this but Retribution is adaptive."
Adaptive indeed. They had superior power over the military and civilian forces that they could use to fight back against the current enemy. Between those in Retribution, they had the same rank with them still developing their fighting styles and a plan how to deal with this situation.
Turning to Anthony as he secured his blades, Jake had sacrificed a lot of people before this point and didn't see the problem. Speaking up, Jake secured his rebreather as he clipped on the back with his gloves on the table; "They are quite good at their job and we have a job to do as well," slipping them on as he slowly put his government on over his wedding ring, "focus on the task and we'll move forward from there," Jake still missed his wife. It had been a long 2 years with him going from a go easy person to the monster he had become with focus on the current task. Attachments:

The training he endured after joining the team was harder than Tony had thought. Running through training in the underground bases then going into missions with Jess and Alexia to rescue vital scientists and engineers only for them to go to the artic with Kat waiting for them. Retribution had many players and all of them working towards a task that was elusive even to him. Sitting on a building with his snipers nest, Anthony was watching several streets below in the the city of Cyprus with the team working below. An earpiece hung out from his ear as he noticed a patrol in this occupied city and alerted Kat; "Four tangos converging on your location."
Answering him, Jon intercepted the frequency as Alpha One entered the city; 'We'll draw their attention but you need to eliminate the threat,' pausing before reconnecting, 'Zane will meet with you but you need to come down to ground level.'
Anthony had heard of Alpha One but working with Alpha Two these orders were odd even for him. Packing up his gear, Tony tapped his earpiece as he slipped into the stairwell with his BFG-50 in hand; "Alpha Seven headed to ground level to meet with Alpha Four," looking out of the window to see an odd aircraft flying into the city; a Cylon Heavy Raider. Luckily, they hadn't seen him as he jogged down the stairwell but didn't know Centurions were landing into the city. Watching the Company pull the Cylons clear of their path, the two of them cautiously ran through the streets with his partner carrying both a pistol and a sword. Tony never asked why he went with such a primitive weapon into combat. Questioning Alpha Two was unusual but it must've been rough for him throughout the years as they came to a mile of the Embassy; "Where are the people? This place is home..." being interrupted by Jake.

Government had fell and now Retribution was now in full control of the armed forces with Centurions coming down from orbit. Breaking the accords, the Alphas issued large caliber weapons with little disregard for their enemy.
With the change of tactics brought a new change in Jake, the memories and dreams were stacking up with the crappy days. He was falling apart with Jon finding him passed out between missions and a blade in hand so something had to change. Following Jon to an old monastery, they walked past the blood stained cement to a small domed structure before sitting down on the marble. Speaking up, Jon set his boots aside with guards guarding outside; 'I'm worried about you, Jake, you are the best soldier I know and I know how hard it is to lose her but I can't lose you to those dark impulses so we'll meditate.'
Only nodding, Jake stabbed the ground while setting down his worn down boots before crossing his legs and closing his eyes. He was transported from the monastery and back onto the calm beach with Avina waiting for him. For the first time in a while, he got to spend time with her before being returned to reality with Zane and Kat standing around him. Helping him up onto his feet, Jake pulled his blade from the ground while holding onto her memory. Not focused on the dead, Jake ran for the Embassy walls with Tony pondering on the people here; "They're gone. Let's get out of here, Seven, ponder on the relevant crap later," entering the Embassy where Jon was waiting. Following Jon to the roof, Jake whispered to him as the last of the Company died off; "Is it complete?" Nodding, Jon opened the door to the roof where the chopper was waiting with the Gunship on standby; 'Yes, we'll have to move double time and we need to talk once we arrive but get some rest.' Stepping onto the chopper, Jake sat into the back as he threw on his cloak so he could drift asleep for the bumpy ride. They were losing this conflict since the idea of this being a war meant two sides were fighting with them mostly playing defense. Waking up with Jon beside him, he knew from the armor he was in that there was a change of plans as he whispered; "What's going on?" Setting down the helmet, Jon knew putting all their Hope's in one basket wasn't the smartest of plays but hiding amongst the Colonials and Terrans could be beneficial; 'You and Seven are going to Kobol. I've seen you change, brother, I'm not going to see you make the sacrifices we're about to make. We will search for you once there but you two will have to rebuild everything we loss.' Listening intently, Jake didn't like the idea being separated from an idea that he gave shape to but knew there was limited amount of suits; "You've always been there with me and Avina. I can't imagine finding someone else then again couldn't imagine the I'd be fighting an unwinnable war," patting Jon on the shoulder for it was an old Hellion handshake, "don't get killed or captured, I'd hate to do actual work." Laughing together, they had always been side by side and now that was going to change thanks to this brainchild. Attachments:
