Ashley had missed combat. The fight through bullets and blood was a constant thought but sitting on the Council was completely different. Only a dozen representatives doing the task originally meant for more and working with the Generals was too difficult. Restarting the economy took time with the old Terran economy all but obliterated from the cost of moving to Kobol. Moving assets and infrastructure to Kobol nearly broke the economy with them finally breaking even with the Joint Operations venture.
Even for her, this has been difficult since she was far outside of her own element. Once commanding troops, she was now representing the various towns that are responsible for feeding the populus. Towns like London, Yorkshire and Delphi producing fresh food and starting to domestic animals; before too soon they can start eating fresh food once more. But the problem for now wasn't food but the taming of Kobol. The entire Terran Armed Forces were exploring and fighting their way through Kobol with dozens injured on a bi weekly basis and for what? City expansion has slowed with the Kobol One project being initiated.
Sitting in her chair, she had nothing to add to the argument since she knew her husband and others were doing the right thing. She had seen the massive predators and seen how fierce they are and knew taming the current generation was going to be difficult but next generation would be easier.

Landing on the platform with his security detail climbing out first, traveling by anything else is too risky given between New Corinth and Kobol City was a battlefield. The major cities were built along the tributaries and Deltas for security reasons also for their security. The only city that didn't follow this was Othos which is built inland and spans over 4 rivers and an inland ocean.
Climbing out of the raptor in his desert BDUs with his ranks visible, William had been receiving constant updates from the Orbital Observatory team. When explaining an event like the one two of his officers experienced, there is so much science involved that his head would implode and yet he had nothing to explain to Parliament.
His detail remained outside as he headed inside with them expecting him as he walked through the corridors to the main chamber doors. Getting his introduction, William had everything dedicated to memory as he spoke to the room; "I wish I came here on good news but its its news all the same. Black Protocol is in effect for the Artic Continent till we can insure the incident there is an isolated possibility. The incident being, two officers believed that they were interacting with people inside the resurrection device but, in fact, they were interacting with the past which resulted in a minor event change but it has brought us valuable insight into the 13th Tribe. The leading theory is that the interaction happened during an influx of solar activity allowing for this temporal shift. We have concluded with a high degree of confidence that the Artic was home to the 13th tribe."
Interrupting the General, a Caprican representative spoke up concerning the 13th Tribe; "What was the degree of interaction? Is it history changing?"
Tapping his wrist to bring up the two items, placing his hands behind his back as he answered the questions; "The patch is specifically made for troops on Kobol with Terran fabrics and reflective materials that shine white under the light of lasers or an LED to prevent friendly fire. The patch hasn't been altered and was found in a journal with a page detailing the encounter with pages of translations that is being handed out," turning his attention to the pistol, "the encounter, the Colonel left behind his pistol that, upon discovery, appears to have gone unseen. Still carrying 15-rounds and his fingerprints were on the weapon but no altercations. If the weapon was broken down or copied, the mechanical repercussions would rewrite Colonial history."
Standing up, the Picon representative knew that was no light measure but knew the Terrans were doing the right thing; "Any updates on the Butcher?"
Removing the images, William knew a bit on that subject matter but not much more than them; "As you know, there is a joint team searching every inch of the Colonies with his photo with the police forces. So far, we can confirm he's not on Picon or Tauron. We do urge the capturing of him since we have made a perfect prison in which escape isn't a possibility."
Clapping for the General, the Librian representative spoke up about the next matter; "Any transmission from Avalon? Its been 3 months, have we heard anything and are you planning to visit the Alpha Site?"
Avalon. Even William heard whispers of the place but it was so far away that any team would to setup both communication and survive on a freighter to get there; "In the coming weeks, we'll send a team but as for communications...Avalon was far better footing than us before we lost Terra. Thanks for having me and all communications can be sent to my staff," leaving as he thought over who to send to Avalon.

"The Chair recognizes Lucius White, Acting Director of Terran Intelligence, currently Commodore and Liaison between the Terran and Colonial Intelligence Agencies." Approaching the podium in his white dress uniform with both a black folder and tablet as he interfaced with the holographic displays. Taking a sip of his water, he began reading from the speech he had written out prior to this arrival: "Members of this body, Councilors. Admirals. Sec. Of Defense. Generals. At 12:07 local time, Terra, the Cylons struck at Frondal Island with a nuke fifty times more powerful than the one dropped on Caprica City nearly Thirty years ago. From intelligence gathered by our long range optical satellites, Frondal Island is gone with the Southern Hemisphere now filled with radioactive ash and particles that will leave that area as well as the ocean uninhabitable for the next ten thousand years. The only activity that we have monitored was a skirmish between the Battlestar Independence and a Cylon Basestar which left our ship crippled while sensors from our orbital satellites have detected a single raider." Projecting footage of the battle from thousands of photos carefully attached with Raptors and even Vipers in the battle. Unknown to them, Terran Intelligence doctored the photos to show additional Basestars and raiders to show this was less of a one sided engagement. "The Cylons have effectively made our home world unliveable and still proclaim innocence. The President, McPherson, has remained quiet likely silenced due to the horror under her watch. The fact is...the Cylons don't care for peace but a home and new they have one that could effectively advance them by hundreds of years. This call of peace is a cover for war and we must not let them tear down everything we built on Terra, Kobol and in the Colonies for our livelihood of this and future generations rely on us. Terran Intelligence is pushing for the Articles of War against the Cylon Legion for retribution against the unprovoked attack on Terra!"
Lucius knew many here were thinking of war but given the intelligence on hand as well as their spy network that they didn't have a lack of information and even more he helped push along Michael Martin's name for Admiral. The man has a history of fighting the Cylons and with the Titan he could at least fight them with weapons previously unavailable to anyone.

Listening intently on the young Director, Jack pondered on where the information was coming from but then again it has been some time since they saw a Cylon. In fact, some had pondered on their mere existence till now considering how little they have heard of them but plotting seemed to be the answer. They had used their technology and resources to scrub the radiation out of the Colonies but it would be a logistical nightmare to move that equipment home. Maybe it was time to consider Kobol home...but a declaration of war would mean stretching already frayed resources they had to combat the walking Chrome jobs. War for them would be difficult considering the tasks they are already hard at doing but maybe this is time to reach out to Tauron. Yes, Tauron, the new military lead of the Colonies which meant a off world visit with his counterpart.
Tapping the table to flip on his microphone, he listened while the Chair now recognized him:
"General Jack Thrax, Deputy General of the Kobol Defense Force and Commander of the Exploration Forces."
Allowing the Chair to finish, Jack attached the microphone to his jacket as he walked past his fellow leaders:
"Great presentation from Terran Intelligence and good to see their spy network not affected by the blackout we are experiencing. It would appear that, yes, the Cylons had on fact chosen a perfect time to strike given that we are still building here on Kobol with home at its lowest levels ever seen. The Terran and Colonial Fleet currently manning one Battlestar and less than fifty Cruisers even more our defense grid here still being assembled. The Cylons are always known to have this 'Plan' notion and thus could be part of it. But my question...how do we know of this Cylon innocence? How do we know of these divisions in the Legion? Before we can commit to war, Mr. White, we need to know this information otherwise we can find ourselves caught in the middle of another Cylon Civil War. A Civil War where they might commit the resources they have against one another to turn that against us...we have built so much and wish to not lose it over a hunch of innocence."

General Thrax. A man cautious of Terran Intelligence but supported the rebuilding of the organization following the settling of Kobol. The man was now and obstacle he needed to overcome if he was going to get the war that he and frankly the rest wanted. The politicians supported the military and given that Tauron would only support them after the Generals here give a lengthy report that is supported by intelligence though that information is edited for the call to war. Nodding to Jack, Lucius stepped back up as he held his black tablet in hand: "Terran Intelligence has used the word of the Cylon One True God to slip our sympathizers in to spy on the Cylons. We have new methods and technology to bug and spy on Cylon Operations and assets throughout their Legion so any intelligence gathered could be both verified and sent back securely. This recording was one of two taken and shows that the Cylon, Kona, knew of the traitor in her ranks and previously supported the individual." Allowing the recording to be replayed, the alterations he made were smooth and saw that the military leadership was studying this woman now. Civil War may be on the line for the Cylons but for them wiping out the Cylons might be the better call. "The Cylons never had plans for peace with us. We took away that hope of the Colonies to be in flames for them and they haven't stopped attacking us since. They have been studying us as much as we had been studying them...that nuke showed that we had a weakness and we need to return fire before Kobol or the Colonies face the same fate once more." The last recording was much older but with his keen skills made it seem like new. Unaltered, he knew the recording was vague but served a purpose which was to make those uncertain certain about the Articles put forward. Closing his folder, he flipped off his tablet but remained at the podium out of respect for he knew the recordings would help his case.

Listening to the responses from Terran Intelligence and Jack, this Declaration had been well thought out with actual comprehensive intelligence and a reason for the sudden attack. Terra was wide open for the attack but overall casualties are much lower than it would've been prior to the Gamma Wave meaning this was a desperate attempt. An attempt neither the less and one they cannot show hesitation in for their counter though William would like a word with Admiral Martin concerning the skirmish. Maybe the intel is right but it didn't really matter even if it was wrong...the majority of the Council was going to vote for war. Waiting for Jack to sit down once more, William whispered to him as he thought over how they should vote; "We're voting to go to war. Standing against them will likely mean shorter terms for the two of us."

Standing against them will likely mean shorter terms for the two of us." Sitting down beside William, Jack already knew the penalty of voting against war considering there are already so many who oppose their job. Pulling out his tactical pad, he issued a total recall of all SF personnel and ordered the new Army to take up the job of exploration. Thinking about Michael, Jack knew this brother hated the Cylons and would have ground experience on Terra but was also open minded. Hearing the votes go 'Yay', Jack stood up as he tracked the vote: "As one of two Generals of the Kobol Defense Force, we find the argument made for these Articles of War against the Cylon Legion to be valid. We are mobilizing the Terran Special Operations Division and preparing Kobol for a heightened state. But even though we vote for War if we find facts that contradict what has been presented we will vote for Articles of Reconciliation and propose Mr. White be charged with crimes against both Terra and Kobol. So, I, Jack Thrax and William Tyson, Generals of Kobol Defense Force do side with the Council for Articles of War against the Cylon Legion." The hammer rang out for voting had finished with the Executor speaking up with a large blue folder holding the document that all were signing starting with him: "Since the arrival of the Colonials, we, Terrans, have both tolerated and dealt with the Cylon threat that had presented itself and have honestly taken some into your home. Our actions have thus resulted in deception of the Cylonic State resulting in the largest disaster of the Modern Terran Age. Today, we sign formal Articles of War against the Cylon State and place a bounty of twenty million cubits on the head of the Cylon known as Kona. We pray the Gods bring her here before us alive to face justice both for crimes committed against Terra and the Colonies. These Articles will be transmitted to Terra for President McPherson to review and may the Gods have mercy on Kona's soul. This Council session is adjourned."

Marla sat in the rear of the room, listening to all the men speak of war and Cylons and revenge. She knew this was being orchestrated by those who wanted nothing to do with peace and serenity, for with peace and serenity, there could never be control of the people. The fact that Terran intelligence was involved with all this deception alarmed her. Now she had another mission to perform, find out who in Terran Intelligence was behind this deception. Were they the puppet master, or merely another puppet.
She had to talk to one of the top people, but who? And to reveal she was here on Kobol would be to compromise her main mission, and her identity as a SpecOps member. So, Tyson or Thrax, which one did she trust more? How she wished she could get back to Terra fast enough to find that Six and snap her neck. Perhaps later, perhaps. For now, she needed to let someone know who was actually behind that nuke detonation back on Terra and just hw long that device had been sitting there, waiting for the right moment to explode. She had to hand it to the Cylons, both sides or even a third one. They sure managed to sew enough confusion and distrust among everyone to really screw things up. Getting up from her seat, she adjusted her jacket and walked out of the room.

"Send the Raiders! Phase Two is in full launch!" She watches as launch after launch leaves the Star with only a brief FLASH occuring once they break the invisibility cloak. As soon as one wave is off the STAR jumps to a different area and launches another wave. RECEIVING PROGRAMMING UPDATES FROM THE COMMANDER THE RAIDERS BEGIN LAUNCHING FROM THE STAR AND HEAD STRAIGHT AT THE INFERIOR VIPERS THEY ENCOUNTER COMING UP FROM THE GROUND. A FEW RAIDERS ENCURE SOME DAMAGE BUT THEY WILL BE REPAIRED WHEREAS THE HUMAN TARGETS WILL NOT BE SO LUCKY IF THEY CONTINUE IN THEIR QUEST TO MEET THEIR GODS. THE STAR JUMPS AND FROM A NEW LOCATION, MORE RAIDERS JOIN THE ALREADY DISPENSED UNITS. THE STAR KEEPS JUMPING TO KEEP THE ENEMY FROM LOCATING IT AND WHEN THE LANDING BAY CLOSES UP THE STAR IS HIDDEN FROM ALL DETECTION. NO HEAT SIGNATURE IS EVIDENT WHILE IT IS CLOAK MODE. HITTING THE POWER GRID AND THEN THE GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS AS THE RAIDERS INFLICT DAMAGE TO ANYTHING MOVING ON THE GROUND OR ANY BUILDING MARKED FOR DESTRUCTION.

Approaching the podium with reporters, Lucius fixed his tie as he set the tablet down with the microphones and cameras ready: I am here to report to the Terran, Colonial and allied people who are refugees of the Cylon Legion that at 03:30 local Kobol Time, a raid was carried out in the City of Othos by KDF. The raid yielded locations of the nukes on Terra as well as three Cavil models but unfortunately they were killed in the raid. With this said, the bounty on Kona has been slated to remain at 12 million cubits while the Six whom carried out unprovoked attacks on Terra and Kobol, identified as Lexi now has a bounty of 120 million cubits on them for the unprovoked attacks both in Terra and Kobol. These attacks have killed hundreds and injured thousands and have justified the unsigned Articles of War existence. Once we have more we will share. May the gods bless Terra and our allies in these uncertain times.

Returning from Terra has been a trip but now it was more work nowadays with most of the surviving Generals and Terran politicians pushing for a provisional government. Being under the Colonial flag had been problematic with their home gone and then producing ships that has resulted in them falling to a defensive posture. The new hybrid program had been sitting on his desk for days now and he had already approved the location with candidates from all over the Colonies but now a new request from the Titan. The Titan has been flying with the Reserve Battlestars to provide the most defensive grid ever built but now it seems like the Titan was planning an expedition. Approving the Frigates, he also pushed along a few hundred Marines and three SF teams but knew pilots would have to make the independent decision to join them.
