Receiving a report from Jack almost an hour since he had to abandon ship, a report that seemed a bit more troubling to him since at least for now this could've been an isolated incident. Sending word through the ranks to keep their eyes for any suspicious activity from the Marines though from Jack's message it made it sound like it was all the sudden. Removing the taser from his rifle, tucking it into his vest he knew whatever would happen going non-lethal wouldn't be the route since these Marines had already taken the lives of Jack's men.
Hearing gunshots, time seemed to slow down as one of his men fell to a gunshot to the chest from a Marine he was standing next to thus giving out ringers that the fight was on. The peaceful island erupted in gunfire as the SF's began opening fire onto the Marines with no mercy even tackling them to the ground before tearing through their chests with armor piercing bullets.

Changing out magazines, Samuel dodged an incoming knife from a Marine only to return fire with his rifle knowing that soon he would be out since this was his last magazine where he noticed others had already went hand to hand leaving only the lifeless Marines and the blood soaked ground. Taking aim at the Marine Commander, he knew he would have only one shot since even the General was trying to protect himself; firing his weapon as he watched the bullet impact the Commander in the head.
Dropping the man to the ground, the battlefield came to a complete stop as the Commander hit the ground; the break only lasted a second till the SF's and Marines were back at it with rain starting to pour down from the heavens. Smashing the butt of his rifle against the face of a Marine, grabbing the incoming sword from one of the newly landed drop pods that were dropped by the Nomads; slicing the Marine in half. The battle raged for hours till the ground was soaked with Terran blood as well as their uniforms leaving the SF's on top and the remaining of the Marines surrender with their hands behind their heads. Walking over to the General, Samuel was drenched in blood as he noticed the General much the same; "Sir, any new orders?"

Feeling the combination of both sweat and blood running down his face, he had killed just as many Marines as the rest of his men but was impressed by Samuel's surprise kill of the enemy Commander yet he knew the man wanted to get even; "Kill any of the Marines that surrendered or are still alive," pausing as he remembered when they used this tactic during the last war that made it illegal but who would know here, "Jack is bringing in transport and then we'll hunt those Marines down. This betrayal from them will be dealt with quickly and before it gets too widespread," stabbing his sword into a Marine as the man called out for mercy yet he wasn't ready to give anyone mercy. Hearing the raptors and gunships moving closer, most of the ships were re-purposed Marine aircraft that were now in SF hands, spotting the aircraft landing while the SF's piled out to join the killing of the injured Marines.

It's been several months now since the latest Cylon attacks on the planet and all appears to be in order. Since that time, the Colonial military presence on the planet has been reduced to just a few hundred marines and a handful of Colonial Viper squadrons. The majority of the Colonial Fleet has been sent to the various shipyards for repairs and in some cases complete overhauls.
The civilian officials have all returned to their respective areas to resume the business of government. Still, with no actual working Colonial civilian government, there is unrest among the Colonial civilian population and tensions have steadily risen over the course of these past several months. Judge Schwein and her followers have been attemptimg to maintain a central working government but have met heavy resistance from the other civilian officials.
Drexl Industries have positined itself as the one source ofr almost all manufacturing on the planet and elsewhere in the solar system. The large as a planet weapons platform, known as the Drex Star, continues to provide the main defense for the planet and the surrounding air space, putting Drexl in a most advantageous position. The young and upcoming Terran fleet continues to assert itself in the absence of the Colonial Fleet, which is the only force preventing Drexl from assuming complete military control in the system. Soon however, the Colonial Fleet will be returning it's vessels to service.

Carlie sat there in her office in Adelia City. She longed to return home but the powers that be had assigned her to this post. She had been fortunate. She had escaped the purge of the governmetn and military of conspirators that had been plotting for years to take control of the government. Still, her being left behind in this place was a message. She knew the Judge was behind it and there was nothing she could do about it. She had distanced herself from the rebels and the fools from Sparta months before the coup attempt. Of course, she knew there was still more to come. Looking out across the city, she wondered how much longer she would have to be in this forsaken place.

As Constable Maureen O'Malley (NPC)
She stood there, across the street from the government office building. She had stood there for the past several months, every day, evet since the woman from Corinth had been assigned here. Her job was to observe the womans every move but to do so from a distance. Maureen was the perfect choice for this job. Her specialty was observing others without being observed herself. And she did it in the open, in her uniform. Not one quarry had ever escaped her and she wasn't about to let this upstart from up north become the first.
She never asked the reason for her services, she just followed orders. Of course, she had not become a Senior COnstable by being a yes girl. She always covered her ass and always made certain she was never the patsy. This time was no exception. This qwoman had ties to the rebels, at least at one time she did. She could not be fully trusted. Why she wasn't arrested with the others was another question. For the time being, she would do what she did best and concern herself with questions later.

Marla was eating her lunch, sitting there in the quaint little park across the street from the government building. It was a nice sunny day and she was glad to be outside. Of course, she wasn't here on holiday. She was watching the undercover cop on the opposite corner. The gal was pretty good, she had to admit that much. And she wasn't alone. But then again, neither was Marla. For every undercover agent in the area, there was another undercover agent shadowing them. It was real cloak and dagger shit and it made her laugh, almost causing her to choke a little on her food.
The Judge had a frakked up sense of humor. Leave McPherson down here to the mercy of the locals, yet send her and her team here to keep an eye on her. Talk about playing both ends against the middle. Of course, the Judge was a mental case as far as she were concerned and she made no attempts to hide it from the woman. It also helped that the Judge could not touch her, not without placing a noose around her own neck. She finished her lunch, standing up to walk over to the trash receptacle when all of a sudden, an explosion from the government building! Grabbing her sidearm, she brought her left wrist up to her mouth, speaking into the communicator strapped there.
"MOVE NOW! Secure those agents and don't be gentle about it!"
Marla ran across the street, her weapon to her side. The explosion came from the third floor, the very floor Carlie McPherson's office was located. She already knew who would be behind the attack but for now, her primary mission was getting to Carlies office. If she were alive, she would be airlifted out of here on a Colonial Marine raptor that was always on stand-by for this very purpose. Why the Colonials were involved, she hadn't figured that one out just yet. She had her suspicions of course, but that's all they were. reaching the front of the building, throngs of workers and others began running out of the doors. There were many injured people and this wasn't even a fourth of those who were inside. The sounds of wailing sirens and aircraft could be heard in the distance, the sounds getting louder as they came closer.
Marla made her way into the building, trying to get to the stairwell but also trying to direct the wounded and confused survivors out of the lobby area. Two of her team members came up behind her. Together, they reached the stairwell and began the journey to the third floor.

The explosion rocked the entire building, throwing Carlie to teh floor of the lavatory. It took her a second to realize what had happened. Gettign up, she looked in one of the mirrors. Grabbing a towel, she turned on the faucet. No water pressure. Great, how was she to remove the blood from her left ear? Walking towards thwe door, she could hear screaming and yelling and crying. She could also hear the sounds of people dying. She had become somewhat of an expert on the recognizing the sound of a person dying. Opening the door, she peered both directions in the hallway. She could see smoke but no flames. Stepping into the hallway, she pressed herself up against the wall as several people came running towards her. She looked around but was unsure as to which direction she should go.
"Frakking wonderful, now where do I go?"

Marla and her team had made it to the third floor and the scene was pure chaos. She looked down the hall to her left and spotted the woman, standing up against the wall, frozen. Running towards her, she motioned for the others to set up a defensive position around the woman. Coming up to her, Marla made a dry remark.
"So, you about ready to blow this place, no pun intended of course? We've got Colonial Marine raptors already on the scene to get us out of here, so get your head out of your arse and let's get moving, before someone decides to level the whole frakking place, okay?"

Of all the people sent to rescue her, it had to be this woman. Still, a rescue was a rescue. Looking at the woman, she forced a smile.
"Yes, of course. What the frak is going on?"
The operative looked at her and motioning to her team, to move out, she spoke quickly.
"Well, besides the locals deciding to try and end your life, the cylons have also picked this time to begin a full-scale invasion. Right now, ours and the Colonial forces are mashalling together and responding to the attack. Some idiot on a battlestar ordered his ship to ram a basestar and they seem to have succeeded in placing an attack force on the basestar, Drexl has finally put his ship or whatver the frak it is into action and just decreased the cylon for in half. Now, if you don't mind, we gotta get out of here and to someplace more safe."
With that, Carlie followed the woman down the corridor and to the stairwell that would lead them to the rear of the building where two Colonial Marine raptors were still waiting.

Marla was constantly looking the surroundings over as they cleared the building and made their way to the waiting raptors. Now was not the time for some sniper to get lucky.
One of these days, I'm settling down far, far away from all this madness.
For now though, this madness was her job and she would see it through to the end. Boarding the raptor, she looked at the pilot.
"Allright Captain, get us out of here and set course for the safest place you can think of."
Throttling up and lifting off, the Captain looked at his co-pilot and ECO, an 2nd Lieutenant whose parents had hailed from the same village as he back on Virgon.
"Set course for the Station, thwen we'll make way to the Capital."
The 2nd Lieutenant nodded and began adjusting a few knobs.
The Captain turned to his passenegrs.
"We have to go to the Station first as right now, it's a no fire zone. From there, we can get a clear line to Corinth and jump right into the atmosphere over the city. Hold on, it's gonna get bumpy."

At the new Presidential office on the grounds of Corinth University, near the airport
Timeline: Three weeks after having arrived in the Capital
It had been almost three weeks now since J and Captain Markus, along with several of the new Quorum members and a security detail from the CMS Marauder, had arrived in the capital city. Having set up temporary space in the Mayors office and finally getting the word out to the citizens of Terra and the Fleet that the government was being re-formed, J was ready to finalize the announcement with a personal message to everyone.
The city was still in disarray and ruin from the massive Cylon attack a year ago so getting the media outlets to get their equipment to the capital and setting up the satellite feeds had taken much longer than expected and it was frustrating J to no end. Already the quarreling between the various factions had begun-the Federalists set against the Spartists, the Isolationists in the Southern Hemisphere against the Monarchists in the north, just south of the Capital, the Gondawans against the Expantionists, and the Quorum crying about being left out. J secretly wished he had just gone to the Independence Brig and not immersed himself in this debacle and experiment in futility.
What the frak was Ben Little thinking when he started to re-form the government? Doral was probably onto something when he disbanded the Colonial government, as illegal as it may have been. Looking at his new Chief Aide, Neko Goor (the former woman having decided to pursue a different path in the new government by accepting the post of Agriculture Secretary), J smiled and nodded that he was ready. Looking at the array of cameras and recording devices, J cleared his throat and read from the teleprompter in front of him.
"Ladies and gentlement of Terra, the Colonial and Terran Fleets, citizens of the Terran system, and mostly, our Cylon allies and fellow Colonial citizens: For those of you who do not yet know who I am, allow me to introduce myself. I am J Castorious, former Acting President of the 12 Colonies of Kobol and Colonial Marine. Ever since President Phineas Doral announced some almost two years ago the disbandment of the Colonial government, our combined societies have been in an upheval and in total disarray. Fortunately, the late President Benjamin Little saw the error of that decision and was in the process of re-forming the government when he was killed by Cylon forces, done so while saving several thousand souls doing what he knew best, being a warrior. We shall never forget his actions those months ago and for that reason, I am formally announcing the reforming of the Colonial government, a government that will be for all citizens of Terra and her fleets and stations and settlements. This action is effective immediately. In the coming days, I will be announcing the members of my cabinet and will be visiting the various ships and settlements, as well as condcuting a goodwill tour of Terra herself. I thank you all and may the Gods continue to look down upon us with favor."

Location: DRADIS Control Center, 25 kilometers outside Delos
One of six DRADIS Control Centers located on Terra, responsible for the tracking of the planetary weapons designed by the Gondwans for the defense of the planet. Although the weapons themselves are manually operated, the tracking of targets is controlled by the DRADIS Control Centers. There are 127 planet-based weapons scattered across Terra, all tied into these 4 DRADIS Control Centers, assigned into sections.
It had been discovered that the Cylons had managed to infiltrate those Centers and taken them off-line. One of the Centers was located on the Frondal Islands. The recent nuclear detonation, so powerful it pretty much wiped everything and everyone located in the Frondal Islands off the face of the planet, took out the DRADIS Control Center there.
The other locations are as follows:
Corinth City-Fleet HQ City of Sparta-20 kilometers north of the City at an abandoned Spartan military installation Ersea City-Located at the military installation in the City Delos City-25 kilometers north of the City
Only the Delos City location was unaffected by the infiltration of Cylon-Human Hybrids. An attentive TDF Captain, Kiera Zalon, challenged the "DRADIS Technicians" who came to perform maintenance, something that was not on the report that was sent each day. It should be noted that these "DRADIS Technicians" were all female, extremely attractive females. The Cylons had counted on, rightfully so, that sending in these particular females would distract the human crews of the DRADIS Control Centers, thus permitting the sabotage that had been undertaken. In the event of any challenge from those crews, the Hybrids were instructed to take the installations by force and destroy them with explosives.
This was not necessary in Corinth and Sparta. It was necessary though in Ersea, where the Officer-In-Charge, a TDF Major, Liam Jericho, saw through the Hybrid ruse and although he and his security personnel acted quickly, one of the Hybrids was able to detonate her explosives, killing everyone in the center and destroying the center itself.
Fortunately though, Captain Kiera Zalon immediately knew these were not humans nor was their mission a legitimate one. Within mere seconds of the Hybrids presenting themselves, she shot four of them dead and wounded the fifth one and prevented her from detonating her explosives. Unfortunately, with only one DRADIS Center still in operation, it could not handle the tracking of all 127 weapons sites. The Cylons had still managed to take down the planets defenses. The race was on to fix what the Hybrids had messed up in Corinth and Sparta. If those two sites could be brought back on line, the planets defenses would be fully operational.
Only time would tell.....
