Arriving at the aerodrome in Adelia City, Josephine marveled at how beautiful the city and the surrounding land was here. She had been here some years before but it was only for a few days. This trip would prove to be just as brief but she told herself that she wanted to visit some of the local sites. Looking at her Security Chief, a young woman from Corinth, Josephine motioned to the approaching vehicles.
"They're powered on bio fuels, grass literally. I suppose there will be no band or red carpet for us. We can also plan on being housed in modest accommodations. The people here do not believe in public officials living in grand style. So glad I brought my own bedding materials, can never be too careful. So, when are the others supposed to arrive?"
The woman looked at Josephine then checked her e-tablet.
"No word on Director Drexl or those with him. The Governor is making arrangements, if Ms. Johnanssen doesn't complete her mission first, then this visit is all moot."
"Well, if that becomes the case, then we just got a vacation. Well, let's get this part started, shall we?"

As Lucee Lawful, Adelian Administrator (NPC)Arriving at the aerodrome to greet the incoming dignitaries, Lucee sees that the Chancellor is the only one to arrive. Looking at her Assistant, she nods her head. Her assistant takes out her communications unit and sends a message to Director Drexl. "Director Drexl, you are notified that we are ready and waiting for your arrival with her Honor Judge Schwein and the others with you. We look forward to your arrival. Sent by order of Administrator Lucee Lawful."

Climbing off of the civilian aircraft, Dalton really dispised traveling since it aggravated an old injury of his old war injury but all he could hope for is that his pain killers would kick in. Trading out the SF soldiers for private security from one of his fellow Councilors since SF's draw too much attention to themselves, walking past the civilians and to his private convoy, feeling the sea breeze rushing over his thick jacket before ducking into the car. Sitting back, he peered outside onto Farridah spaceport wondering how many rogue Marines were inside since SF Intelligence confirmed that Josephine Goodall had control of the nearby city. Listening to his assistant constantly warn him that they should turn around now but he needed to see about getting Ms. Goodall to at least resolve this issue with the renegade Governor without major loss of life.
Hours of driving onto roads that barely deserve that name, Dalton set down the tablet and put his reading glasses away inside his jacket as he peered onto the gate just outside the city which was put up by the Marines. Keeping his diplomatic papers on hand, he rolled the window down to pass the papers over to the Marines while his private security was detained by the Marines, getting back his papers as the red gate was lifted for his driver to continue into the city. Rolling inside, he noticed trucks lining the streets as he asked his driver to come to a stop just short of the center of the city before opening the door to step out of his car with his assistant beside him. Waddling over to a squad of Marines, he kept his hand on his cane to support his leg and old age as he asked for a Marine to inform Ms. Goodall of his arrival.
Positioning his cane in front of him as he waited, he knew as an Imperialist this was an unusual move but he had to make some new ground especially since she held a large fighting force and could overthrow the Governor if it meant the Council would take over afterwards.

As Judith stepped out of the large shuttle craft, she immediately saw her friend, 11th Terran Court-Adelia City (Adelia Islands) Justice Robert O'Toole approaching her. Extending his right hand, he welcomed her.
"Judith, it's been too long. Fortunately, the weather here is perfect. So, you've come to meet with the Nationalist leader and some others to discuss the issue of the governor I hear."
"Yes Robert, it's time to take care of something that should've been taken care of long ago. I take it he has yet to arrive?"
"No but reports have it the Colonials are escorting him down here. That may be a problem for our Administrator here, you know, no Colonial military are permitted here. I think we can work around it though since it won't be a permanent situation."
"Well, the fact they are taking sides is not good. And their President, has anyone heard from him lately?"
"No, and that seems to be a recurring issue. What will happen to him anyways?"
"The plan is for the President to remain the President, but only over the Colonials not on the planet here. He'll have a vote in the Chamber of Representatives but only on matters directly affecting Colonial citizens. A new leader will be appointed over Terra and it looks as if a name change for the planet may be in the works as well. The governor will be sent home, to live out his days in solitude but he will be taken care of, as well as his family. This craziness ends here."
"And just how are you going to get the governor to agree to all of this? I mean, the man is power crazy. It's become such an issue that the government here on Adelia is contemplating a military excursion to Corinth to end this mess. YOu know the fall out from something like that Judith. The COuncil will eventually have to step in and take control and we cannot have that happen."
"I assure you Robert, the Council will not be taking control of the government or the planet, at least not over something so mundane. Now, exactly where do you have me and my group quartered?"
"Yes, of course, please follow me. We have you in the finest hotel in the city."
Judith motioned to the others to follow her and Justice O'Toole to the waiting vehicles and to their waiting quarters. It would still be some time before the governor and his entourage arrived, plenty of time to get a quick nap and freshen up a bit.

Carlie looked around in awe at the beauty of the surroundings. She had only been here once, as a child. She got into the back seat of one of the larger vehicles and brushed her hair from her face. As the vehicles made their way from the aerodrome to the city center, Carlie was amazed at how untouched the place was. Looking towards the front, she asked the woman in the passenger seat a question.
"How have you managed to keep this place so natural, so beautiful?"
The woman turned in her seat and looked back at Carlie.
"Simple, we made certain to keep all the foreigners out."
With that, the woman smiled and then returned to her previous position. Carlie just sat there, her mouth shut tight.

Marla sat in the rear of the raptor, listening to the chatter between the viper pilot and the people on the ground. She could see out the front of the raptor and the approaching costline. Looking over at the governor, she wondered if he realized how soon the end was. Fortunately, she wasn't killing him, not physically anyhow. The mental impact of him being exiled, that was a different story. Soon, they would be on the ground and this pony show would be over.

Taxi to reception area. Do not deviate from flight plan, say again, do not deviate from flight plan. Adelia Air Control, out."

Governor Winters looked out through the cockpit window and could see they were now approaching Adelia City. Looking back to the two Colonial Marines who were with him, he spoke loudly above the roar of the engines.
"When we land, I want you two to arrest any Judge or civilian official that is present, no exceptions, understood?"
Both Marines looked at one another, then back at the governor. Neither had been given orders such as the one the governor just gave. No, they would just do as they had been instructed-ensure the safety of the governor and any colonial personnel present.
"Once this is over, we will then proceed to Sparta City and arrest the other nationalists there. Yes, then we go after any others who oppose us."

"Copy that Adelia Air, runway three five, Acheron Flight One Alpha out and thank you. All birds follow me and stay on course. Once down, we sit until new orders received. Now, let's get these people down there."
Within a few minutes the squadron and raptors were on the ground and the passengers were being off loaded, having been met by members of the local government.

Josephine and the others stepped out of their vehicles to meet the governor and his party. Soon, this would all be over. She was glad though that the governor would not be killed. Even her own people would not tolerate such an act. Extending her right hand, she made certain she was first to greet him.
"Governor, it is a pleasure to see you and I am so happy that you all made it here. If you would, ride with me to our hotel."

David looked around the area and then turned his attention to the voice speaking to him. Looking at the woman, he sneered at her.
"Yeah, I'm sure you're really glad to see me. I wonder, will your feelings be the same in five minutes Miss Goodall? As for riding with you, I think not."
Looking at the security detail of Colonial Marines he beckoned to the Sergeant with them.
"Sergeant, find us a suitable vehicle so we can go to our lodging."
The Sergeant looked at the Governor.
"Sir, with all due respect, we have received orders to report to the commander of Colonial forces here. We are being recalled Governor. Your security is being turned over to Terran Security Service."
Saluting, the Sergeant turned and walked back to the other Colonial Marines. The Governor stood there, unsure of what to do next. Stepping up to him, Marla Johanssen whispered in his left ear.
"Sir, we have transport ready to take you to the city, right over there."
David nodded and began walking towards the waiting vehicle. Stepping inside, he watched as the others began loading into the remaining vehicles. Soon, they would all be arrested and this nonsense would be over. And he would also deal with the Colonials for abandoning him as well.
