J stood there listening to everyone talk. The thought of returning to being a government official did not sit well, especially with everything so frakked up, what with personnel turning on one another and assassination attempts and everything else. He still had no idea where Elea was, or his daughters for that matter, although the girls were most likely assigned to Titan what with Independence having been sent to the graveyard.
J looked at Sirolk and Tyson.
"Well, before we go and grab the reigns of the government, there are still protocols to follow. If all else fails, the ranking Council Member or Members would be next in line. For now, we need to find any Secretary alive and get them to a safe and unknown location and soon."
J knew that one member of the Council for certain was alive and safe, they just needed to get in touch with her. Turning back to the two men, he continued.
"As for the President, I know she was taken to the University Medical Center but how in hell did that secretary of hers manage to escape? No, don't tell me, I already know. Too many traitors in our midst and I suspect they are Hybrids who have been here for quite some time. There is also the issue of other bombs out there. Before everything went to crap, the Cylon known as Sandy Sixx met with me and was about to tell me where the other devices were located, she did manage to give me the location of two of them, that leaves 3 others. According to her, these others are nowhere as massive as the one that took out Frondal and are more designed to add more panic than anything, still going to do some damage though."
J reached into his right trouser pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. Opening it, he read from it.
"Ersea and Sparta are where the two are located, we have to find the other three. These are not set on any timer though. My guess is someone will just set them off when the time is right. If we do this correctly, we can avoid a panic and possibly even get them removed without the frakking Cylons even knowing it. As for the other three, we're going to have to hunt for those. So far, nothing has been discovered here in Corinth City and that puzzles me, why not the capital, why spare it?"

As Admiral Jenny Loredo (NPC)
Jenny stood off to the distance, listening to the men speak. It was always the same, the men were in charge, the men made all the decisions, the men caused all the problems. She knew she had to maintain her composure but every second that ticked by was another opportunity for things to get worse and she was getting tired of standing here, in this death trap of a bunker, waiting for another attack. She was also painfully aware that her very own personnel were involved in this madness. She muttered the words under her breath.
"Coup attempt, again."
The various factions on this planet, not including the Colonials, were always trying to posit themselves into power. In over two thousand years, nothing had changed here. At least the Colonials followed the rules, for the most part. It wasn't the Cylons who were the enemy, it was their own people. She did have to agree with Castorious, they needed to find a living Secretary and announce that the government was still operating. The fact he was not interested in assuming power, even if to share it with the former President, was a good sign. But perhaps that's what everyone needed, these two men to take control. An aide came up to her and whispered into her right ear.
"We located Council Member Goodall, we have her safe and sound in the Highlands of Gondawa."
Jenny breathed a sigh of relief. At least something was going in their favor. Now to figure out who she could trust.

Pushing her way past the poor excuse of security to the bunker, Jasmine came into the lobby area, followed by over 3 dozen Marines personally hand-picked from the Rapid response Battalion stationed at the Marine Base north of the City. She had already heard of the reports of Marines and SF personnel engaging one another in the streets of the City, not to mention reports of imposters wearing TDF uniforms all over the planet. Although she had been retired for some time now, she had never really gave up her uniform, or rank. And because of that, she still had those Marines loyal to her and to the mission of defending humanity, even against itself. She immediately saw who was in the room and was surprised. Tyson, Sirolk and Castorious. Talk about a void if anyone were to attack this place and kill all three men. She keyed her comm unit.
"Raven One to Strawberry Two, I am secure inside, secure entire compound and that includes relieving and disarming all personnel therein, over."
"Copy that Raven One, we are already securing the Government Compound and have taken control of the Main Gate. Quite a few unhappy types here but they'll get over it. AM sending personnel to Government building to secure it as well, over."
"Good, let me know if anyone over there gives you any grief. Keep me appraised of the situation, Raven One out."
"Strawberry Two out."
Jasmine made her way over to where Sirolk and Castorious were standing and extended her hand to Castorious.
"General Castorious, good to see you Sir."
She looked at Sirolk and nodded.
"Mr. President, nice to see you as well."
Turning to Castorious, she continued.
"Once I heard what was happening here in the city, I figured I may as well get my ass here and bring some people I could trust, so I brought my people from the base and some more from the RRB. We're in the process of taking control of this entire facility to include the civvy side. That means disarming any armed personnel until we can figure out who is who. Frakking imposters and traitors all around us making it as difficult as can be. Uh, I hate to ask this question, but why are you all here, like are you waiting for one lucky person to come in here and wipe everyone out or what?"
Jasmine bent her head down to listen to the chatter from her comm unit, holding her right hand up to Castorious.
"Strawberry Three to Strawberry Five, Strawberry Three to Strawberry Five, you got a group of TDF looking types coming at you from your three o'clock, over."
"Copy that Strawberry Three, we see them, they come any closer and we'll give them a warning shot, over."
"Negative Strawberry Five, no warning shots, verbal commands then fire for effect, rules of engagement, over."
"Copy Strawberry Three, will do, out."
"Sorry about that J, things are getting stranger and stranger as the minutes tick by. A message was sent out to the TDF to stand down or they run the risk of being shot at by Marines. Still trying to get the word out to the SF types but I figure those frakking hybrids are wearing SF uniforms as well."

Standing beside the desk as he listened to the two men talk, Jack noticed an alert on his tactical pad as he browsed through the updates. Council killed. Handful of SFs turned sides and...Titan secure? Michael you bastard, chuckling for it meant another option opened. They could end the fighting with a threat and one both sides can support. Picking up his jacket, he turned to Sirolk and J as he slipped on his coat; "Nominate both of you, been awhile since there was a bi-leadership. Going to go up to the Titan and get Plan B started," nodding to Tyson as he started his way out of the bunker. Taking out the SFs around the shuttle, Samuel climbed inside just as the General entered only to jump him by surprise. Knocking out Jack, Samuel began tying up the man before slipping on a flight suit for the long trip to the Legion. Using the clearance codes of General Tyson, he lifted the shuttle off the ground and jumped to prevent any air defense locking on.

I watched as a new group of Marines entered the room. The woman apparently in charge had General stars on an outdated uniform. She must have been retired. I nodded back as she started discussing the situation with J. She was right, we needed to get moving. This building was not secure (damn place seemed to have a revolving door at this point). If the President was given a guard, and I prayed to the Gods she survived, we were no longer needed down here. It was time to get mobile and organized, like yesterday. I spoke up, interrupting her and J...
"She's right, we need to get moving. I'm not feeling confident down here planetside. We should organize search parties for the governmental secretaries while also releasing some staement to the press and local population. Actually, a ship makes more sense now, regardless of the Presidents previous statement..."

As Admiral Jenny Loredo (NPC)
Jenny was hopeful they would leave this sitting duck of a target. Any further attacks and more loss of life and she would find herself in front of a firing squad. She tried to tell her superiors that this place was a joke of a "hardened Bunker", there was a wide open access point, way too many people coming and going AND this was BEFORE the recent events. No, this group needed to find someplace more secure, whether it be another planetary location or on a ship. Of course, she actually knew of a ship that was perhaps the safest ship of them all. She decided perhaps it was time to hand out some unsolicited advise.
"Excuse me, Mr. President Sirolk, or is it just Mr. Sirolk? May I suggest a ship that is perhaps THE safest one there is?"
Jenny glanced over at Castorious because he was now looking straight at her when she spoke to the man Sirolk. Cearing her throat, she spoke again.
"The Marauder gentlemen, it's the safest ship there is, no possible way for any traitors to get on board, Mr. Castorious here can attest to that. The entire crew is from Canceron, his home planet and are all related in one way or another. There are no outsiders serving on that ship. Even General Yolander and her Marines are from Canceron, that's why they are here now. It's the perfect spot to be, of course that's just my humble opinion."
It also helped that the Captain of the Marauder was a first cousin of Castorious and they grew up together. It also helped that she herself was a first cousin of the Marauder's Captain, on his father's side of the family. but she had no plans to join them, she had business to take care of down here.

Marauder... isn't that a civy merchant ship if I recall correctly? Captain... Markus right? Believe I saw him once, years ago. Excitable fellow. You sure about him and his ship? Hmm well of course you are. Sounds like a nice family operation. Not exactly what I was thinking but sounds like we can at least trust them all. It's pure chaos down here. Frak it! J let's do it!
Marines, prepare to move out! Leave a few to guard the President. The rest of us are heading up to the Marauder."
I glanced over at Tyson, still sitting in the chair, watching everyone. Will he join us or do his own own thing? I ponder for a second before deciding I don't really care one way or the other. "Let's move out people..."

"Let's move out people..."Peering over the tactical pad, he noticed reports from his personal guard that two were dead and four injured when they were attacked only moments ago. The shuttle and Jack were now MIA which meant this was coordinated and meant to destabilize them. Jack had Kabul defense codes which meant if this was Kona it was vital to knock her off the field. Having this men regroup, Tyson sent the 'disengage and retreat' order which he knew would end the fighting since SFs can melt into the population.
He knew of the safety concerns, J, had been a good friend in the past but right now...he was focused on his counterpart. Protection was a short term issue but long term was their security and even now there was a lot more at stake. Terra and Kobol maybe even Avalon...
Getting up from his chair, these Colonials were going to an unarmed ship for safety but he had plans of going to the Titan. Cylons were unaware of nothing more than the name Titan but not its true purpose. Leaving with the Colonials, he proceeded to the Raptor with his guard beside it.

J was still trying to get in touch with Elea when he heard the name "Marauder" and then Sirolk saying let's move out. Looking at Tyson, he walked up to the man.
"General, I am certain you would rather be on the Titan and I do not blame you. The Marauder is more than capable of keeping us safe and besides, knowing her Captain, he will want to rendezvous with Titan anyways."
J knew of course just how capable Marauder was at not only keeping them safe but defending herself. The ship was so much more than a civilian vessel, she was as heavily armed as a Gunstar or Frigate and even maintained her own compliment of Barracuda Fighters. J kinda chuckled when he thought back on how Marauder had been quietly converted into a heavily armed transport ship, something the Cylons had never caught on to, thankfully. Still, the thought of being up there while Elea was still down here, somewhere, it made him uncomfortable. Motioning to a Marine Lieutenant standing nearby (one of Yolanders people), J gave the woman instructions.
"Lieutenant, I want you and 2 other Marines to get over to the University Medical Center, stay with the President, no matter what anyone else tells you. And I want you to find my wife, tell her I am on the Marauder and will be sending someone to get her, soon. Can you do that?"
"Yes Sir, you have my word Sir."
The woman turned around, motioned to two other Marines and exited the bunker. J looked over at Admiral Loredo.
"Well Admiral, since this was your brainiac idea, you're tagging along too, no arguments either. Well Sirolk, let's get out of this coffin and find a ride up to wherever the Marauder is."
Admiral Loredo spoke up, rather excitedly.
"Uh, Sirs, that's already been arranged. Captain Marcus is sending a shuttle this way now, we can catch it in the compound in 15 minutes. I took the liberty of contacting him just a moment ago. The Marauder isn't too far off, on the dark side of the primary moon to be exact."
J shook his head and picked up the rifle that was laying against the wall next to him.
"Well, let's go then."

The following takes place minutes prior to the atmospheric detonation of a non-nuclear weapon used against the City of Corinth and which was fired from the surface, thus being detected by DRADIS seconds before it detonated. The weapon used was a NON-NUCLEAR weapon, a vacuum type bomb that destroyed most buildings and structures in the city (homes, residences, smaller constructed buildings) but left standing more sturdier structures (government compound, university buildings, power plant, heavier constructed buildings). This weapon was a HIGH PRESSURE weapon that when detonated as an air burst, brought down upon the city immense pressure that essentially flattened buildings and bridges and structures, also killing pretty much any living person and animal that was outside at the time of detonation.
As Leftenant Walter O'Reilly, Raptor Pilot from the CMS Marauder (NPC)
Flying in low towards the City so as to avoid any Cylon anti-air batteries, Walter smiled at his co-pilot, Junior Leftenant Harold Kumar, who looked as if he were about to throw up all over the cockpit.
"Relax there Junior, if we were going to crash, we would've already done so by now and apparently, we're not gonna get shot out of the sky either. Don't go messing up my Raptor, it'll be forever to get that smell out of here."
"Yeah well I wonder if perhaps you get any lower maybe we can bring a tree or two back up to the ship with us, start our own little tree farm in space. Seriously, I can hear the damn things scraping the bottom of the Raptor, pull up before you do some serious damage. We still gotta get out of the atmosphere and tiny little cracks in the hull sure ain't gonna help us any."
Walter pulled up on the control a little. He hated to admit when his Number 2 Seat was correct but branches rubbing the bottom of the Raptor were better than some toaster or human wannabe getting a lucky shot. Seeing his target destination in front of them, he came up swiftly to avoid hitting any buildings, coming in an easy arc to the left and settling down right outside the rear of the compound. Keying his comm, he called out to alert his presence to his waiting passengers.
"This is Marauder Raptor Six Seven Three, contacting government bunker on frequency one eight seven, over."
"This is frequency one eight seven, I copy you, over."
"Transport is here, awaiting passengers, we are close to your location, over."
"Copy that Six Seven Three, on our way, out."
"Standing by, Six Seven three, out."

As Leftenant Walter O'Reilly, Raptor Pilot from the CMS Marauder (NPC)
Walter watched as several people filed out of the bunker. As they began stepping into the Raptor, he completed his take off check list. Gunfire could still be heard across the city, as could the occasional small explosion from ground forces battling one another. AS soon as everyone was on board, he closed the hatch and the Raptor began lifting off. Turning his head to the right, he spoke to the man closest to the cockpit.
"Captain Markus sends his regards Mr. Castorious, and to you as well Mr. Sirolk. Captain Markus also wanted me to let you know Mr. Castorious that he is aware of your concerns regarding the safety of your wife and he has sent two other Teams down to locate her at the University Medical Center and retrieve her, whether she likes it or not. His words Sir. He figures he can hit two birds with one stone, so to speak. Get your wife and the President at the same time, since it's most likely the two of them will be together, what with your wife being a Surgeon and all."
J smiled as the Raptor lifted up, rather sharply at that. he had to grab ahold of the safety restraint to hold himself in his seat.
"I will thank Captain Markus, if we make it there Leftenant."
"Sorry Sir, there's still enemy combatants down there and it sure would be a shame to get shot down after all the effort put into getting here. We'll be at the Marauder in about 12 minutes, she's still on the dark side of the smaller moon Adele, near the lunar facility."

Landing on the broken pad, Rebecca and her team rushed into the underground facility with the only lights coming from their vests. The overhead pipes were loose with water dripping down on them as they rushed through the corridors only dividing once reaching a fortified room. Dropping down onto a lowered floor, water was up to her ankles as a Master Chief went to clear out the President's Office while she cleared the Intelligence Office. Pulling hard drives, placing folders in her bag with hard drives in protective cases before putting everything in the black unreadable bag for transit. Everything here was important to the security of both the fleet and to Kobol which is stepping up as their new home.
The water was freezing and rising as she filled another bag with intelligence while the Master Chief emptied the Office. Setting up high yield bundled C4 charges to both destroy the room and weaken the joints, effectively collapsing the space and weaken the overall structure with corridors being lined. Hoisting the bags up to the other teams, detonation cord went up next as they worked on wiring the structure with a Raptor filled with bags. Ordering the 3rd Raptor to join Cyan, Rebecca and her team boarded the last one waiting to get away before detonating the charges.

Standing in what now constituted as her office (a tent that was erected on the grounds of the University of Corinth), Lukana stood at the podium, preparing to address the crowd of people before her. She looked at her assistant to make certain they were ready to broadcast. Clearing her throat, she spoke into the microphone.
"Ladies and Gentlemen of Terra, my name is Lukana Moldoran and I am here to announce that your government is still here and we are in the process of rebuilding as I speak. Do not listen to the message of a former member of the military, one how has decided to take by force, the reigns of leadership. General Harperson is not in charge, I am. I hereby declare that any and all persons who take up arms against my duly appointed government and the citizens of this planet, those persons shall be arrested, tried and executed immediately, regardless of who they are. I am also declaring that ALL military personnel and assets are hereby under the control of the newly constituted government. Since our fearless President decided to evacuate herself and her friends from Terra, I am officially assuming the office of President of Terra, complete with all powers and authorities therein. More information shall be provided in the future. Thank you all."

As Maury Toranovich, Terran Ministry of Public Health (NPC)
After several tense minutes of arguing with the guards outside of the bunker entrance, Maury finally made his way into the bunker, flanked by several members of the Judicial Constabulary and Marines. Looking around the room, he spotted a group of officers and walked up to them. Introducing himself, he told them of the current situation.
"Hello, my name is Maury Toranovich and I am with the Ministry of Public Health. Ah, Admiral Loredo, nice to see you here. As you all may or may not know, there has been an outbreak of a strain of influenza, specifically the Virgon Flu virus. Fortunately, we have a large supply of the vaccine, however the strain has mutated, as all influenza virus strains do over time. We have been working on a new vaccine but until then, we are administering booster shots of the vaccine. Our immediate concern though is as of several hours ago, we have noticed patients at the University Health Center have been falling gravely ill with a number of the patients succumbing to the new strain."
Maury stopped for a moment to let the information sink in. He wanted to make certain they knew exactly what he was saying.
"This new mutated strain seems to work much faster on those who are not responding well to the vaccine, even after a booster shot. And it's now spreading through the rest of the population at the Health Center, including medical personnel. My reason for coming here is so we can administer the vaccine and the booster shots to everyone here. Once we have perfected the new vaccine, we will begin producing it in large amounts and sending it to all Health Department offices planet-wide. Of course, we know for a fact that infected persons have been evacuated and are now on their way to Kobol. We need to get a message to Kobol so they can prepare for the influx of infected and sick individuals that they will be receiving. Chances are though many of them will not make the journey to Kobol, even though the vaccine is on board every ship heading there."
Maury and many on his team figured when those ships arrived at Kobol, they wouldpretty much be ghost ships full of dead people, something they were preparing for here on Terra. Looking the faces in front of him, he continued.
"What we need to do is initiate a full planetary quarantine, nobody leaves, nobody lands. Period. We are aware of the situation in Alpheus and realize the Fleet needs to provide assistance so because of that, full hazmat suits are going to be the prescribed uniform, with no exceptions."
