Oh for the love of the gods, is she flirting with Martin? I scowl slightly and ponder how we might leave her planetside if we head out again. Composing myself I turn to the President...
"What do you think Madame President? Should we stay or go?"

Jasline did not want the attention and tried to move further out of the main area in the room. She still wasn't sure exactly why the President had included her in all of this, but since she was here she would try to not be a problem.
She glanced over at the former President, Sirolk and hoped he didn't have any intention of leaving some of them behind for whatever better bunker might be out there somewhere. "or wait....... are they talking about going up in the sky to that ship that is above us?" she wondered to herself without saying a word. Her heart jumped and started to race at the thought of being inside a huge ship in the sky. "has it come to this? We now need to hide from the Cylons in outer space?" her mind was racing and all the time that damned song just WOULD NOT STOP!
She waited on pins and needles to hear what President McPherson had to say. "Gods, I should not have worn heels today" her feet were numb by now.

Carlie looked at Sirolk and for a moment, she thought she recalled an ancient song that asked that very question. She shook her head and thought for a moment before replying.
"No to leave would send the wrong message to the Citizens and to the Cylons, as if we're running for our lives. No, for the foreseeable future we will stay, here below ground like moles."
Carlie hated being here but she had no real choice. Up above, she had no idea what was taking place. And to top it all off, certain personnel had yet to arrive, specifically that damn J Castorious. She just knew the man would try and declare himself the President or something, take control of the situation. Nevermind he had repeatedly resisted efforts by herself and others to remain a part of the government. She didn't fully trust the man yet she needed his advice. Having Sirolk here though was actually better, no military m set to deal with. She sat in the over stuffed chair pondering what she should do next. For some reason, a nice hot shower came to mind. She looked at the man across from her.
"I agree that this isn't the safest place to be but for now, it's going to have to work. if the Cylons continue their attacks, no place here on the planet will be safe and we all better get up there."

As Admiral Jenny Loredo (NPC)
Listening to the conversation between the President and the others here, Jenny couldn't keep quiet any longer.
"With all due respect Admiral Martin, security here is rather tight. The TDF made certain of that months ago. Now what happened with the DRADIS centers, that cannot happen here, any attempt to enter this location without levels of authorization, would only result in the deaths of those trying to get inside here. This is a hardened facility, more than 3 thousand meters deep at this level, there are even several thousand more meters of levels below us, going in all directions too. I have nothing but the utmost faith in my personnel, which by the way include several companies of SF types, plus a battalion sized presence of Marines, not to mention a brigade of the Terran Unified Army's best units. Oh yes, we are very prepared here Admiral."

Crossing his arms, Michael snickered at the Admiral for she was a line officer while he had been a grunt most of his life; "During the last Presidents they managed not to lose so many of our Dradis stations which are inside secure bunkers. Also I know your best troops are on Kobol," peering down it his tactical pad with red flashing message from the Titan as he stepped away. Reading the message, he knew the signal was deep in Cylon territory and knew this had to be Jack. Turning to Tyson as he headed for the lift, closing the cover on his tactical pad; "Stay with the President at all costs." Headed out, he went back the way he came though he had more to say considering he knew from experience that the better troops were either on his ship or Kobol. President was doing this out of pride and not intelligence which the Cylons likely has a foothold. Climbing back into the Viper, he raced back up to the ship in hopes that they were ready.

As Admiral Jenny Loredo (NPC)
Jenny knew from the look that Admiral Martin gave her that he was aware that those "best units" of the Terran Unified Army were mostly reservists that she had managed to grab ahold of recently. Still, she was confident that with the sheer numbers of troops present, they could easily defend the bunker.
Or so she hoped.....

J and the Marines, along with a couple dozen Terran Army personnel who asked to join them, finally made their way to the Government Compound. Upon seeing the throng of people trying to get inside, J knew they would have to find a different way inside. Motioning to Sasha, J pointed to the far side of the compound. Nodding, Sasha directed her team to head around to the rear side of the compound.
It took them about 15 minutes to make their way through all the people, citizens hoping to find safety and shelter in the sprawling government compound and eventually the underground bunkers and shelters. Upon reaching the gate area, Sasha directed two of her team to secure the gate, although there were already Marines and TDF personnel there. It took Sasha some convincing but she finally got the officer in charge, a young Marine Lieutenant, to open the gate. As there were no civilians present, it was a relatively easy entrance. Smiling at J, Sasha winked and cradled her weapon.
"The Lieutenant wasn't so sure about it being you, until I pointed at you Sir."
"Sasha, what would I do without you being here?"
"Well, most likely you would have been still trying to find a secure way through the city."
"True. Well, let's go see the President, shall we?"

Watching his star pupil leave, Tyson knew these "SFs" were the minor leagues but there hasn't been issues till now though these stations were under SF control by the very men and women who are now on Kobol. This Admiral was over her head and doesn't see that the Cylons had found a weakness that was only exposed due to them leaving for Kobol. Placing his hands behind his back, he noticed Casterious and knew he too came through a likely hole in this very defensible spot that the Admiral ensured Michael that it didn't exist. A small smirk grew on this face for he knew J was one for the military and would likely want experienced personnel on top of those Dradis stations.

"I agree that this isn't the safest place to be but for now, it's going to have to work. If the Cylons continue their attacks, no place here on the planet will be safe and we all better get up there." Well, we had our answer. As long as the Cylons remained silent we would stay down here to control the situation and keep the people calm. I listened as the local admiral and Martin had a quick but heated exchange about the President's security before he abruptly departed. Now what was that about? Martin seemed almost desperate to get the President up to the ship. Shame McPherson decided to stay. Would be nice to get into space and see it. Heard the new ship designs put the old BSG's to shame. "True. Well, let's go see the President, shall we?" All was calm for a minute. Tyson seemed to be replaying and analyzing the convo as well. He placed his hands behind his back as smirked as the sounds of people and footsteps approached the room. The doors opened and in walked none other but J Castorius. I smirked to myself, I hadn't been sure he was still alive until I heard the President had also requested his presence. It was good to see him. And he appeared to have a female soldier at his side. Now who was this lovely lady? I stepped forward with an open hand and a grin on my face... "J you sly dog, I'm surprised you haven't died yet! How are you my old friend?"

Entering the bunker through an old exhaust tube, Jack opened his jacket to reveal a tiny microphone connected to a recorder hidden between his pants line and boxers. Tossing the microphone aside, he had recorded his meet with Kona out of security and the fact hearing it from the source is more damning than repeating the message. Tucking the recorder into his jacket as he started his climb up to the commons area and soon ran into an uncomfortable Tyson. Handing him the recorder, he turned to a Sergeant as he asked another one for a fresh jacket; "Send a recall order to Titan, will you?"
Turning to Tyson, he could see all the major players here and knew this precaution was useless now that the fleet was around Terra; "So, what did I miss?"

It is good to see Jack again though from a quick listen to the audio recorder convinced him that diplomacy with the Cylons wasn't possible. The Model One is rare amongst the exiled Cylon refugees and even more rare amongst fellow Cylons. The issue is that Cavils did not strike against the President and Kobol but an agent of Kona did this thus justice is both on Cavil and the Six. Handing the recorder back, Tyson crossed his arms as he noticed Sirolk making nice with J; "The President thinks she is safe yet myself, J, you and your brother has proven otherwise. Maybe this evidence plus some gathered by myself and others could be enough to sway her."

Jasline stood up from the chair she had taken and looked straight ahead as if in a trance. She walked into the kitchenette area and reached for the tea. She checked to make sure no one was watching her as she reached into her bra and pulled out a small vial. Swirling it around to mix up the poison thoroughly she then poured it into the tall glass of tea and took a spoon and stirred it in. Returning to the room with the rest of the Cabinet members she kept her eyes straight ahead as she made her way directly to the President. "President McPherson, you look parched!" she smiled as she handed her the tea "please have some tea!" Watching as Carlie drank about half the glass she was disappointed when she sat the glass down on the table. "no, this isn't going to work" she thought quietly to herself. Frustrated at her failure, Jasline stood behind the President acting like the good little secretary to the general room. As she fiddled under her skirt she could feel the cold steel of the switchblade. With dead eyes and accuracy beyond her years, she drove the knife into Carlie's neck. She pulled the knife and struck again. Blood spurting all over the President's beautiful fancy suit. "shame" she thought as she held the knife high and started to bring it down again. "Well, at least that frakking song is shut off" she said out loud. Jasline shook her head and looked at the scene she had just created. She screamed and dropped the knife. "What have I done?" she wailed.

This was everything they all feared as he held the woman down while he waited for the SFs to arrive with proper cuffs.
He knew Kona was playing him as he peered over it then President who was bleeding out and knew this was preventable. Knew that if this on a Battlestar then help would already be here but with mostly soldiers then they should be able to save the President.

She could barely see the President but the blood, the blood was everywhere. She could smell it in the air, that metallic smell from spilled blood. She wiggled and fought as hard as she could to no avail.
