Waiting till the pilots gave the green light, they soon began hovering at 10,000 feet to ensure it would be a quiet insertion for the SFs; dropping the mule first followed by themselves. Powering up their tactical pads, they waited till reaching at least 3,000 feet before pulling their chutes, slowing down before ultimately cutting them away. Dropping down onto the concrete, they wasted no time to hide the chutes as well as forming up; getting the mule on the move.
Moving his pack, Jack took point as they stood several blocks from the orbiter, ordering everyone to another route to avoid Cylon detection. Michael would choose a spot that could be easily defend even more could hold a rather large force if need be which meant he would choose a spaceport with the surrounding district. Loading up a map of the city, they began moving towards this likely FOB; keeping their eyes open for any Centurions for the mere fact that they were becoming a thorn in the Cylons' side.

Reaching the spaceport, he let the orbiter team setup a command post while his men began creating barricades as well as minefields with the remaining explosives. Taking a small team, Michael began securing buildings followed by securing them with traps as well as barricading to ensure nothing can compromise this FOB. Assigning a pair of snipers to each building, he still wished he had more troops but with Romo enroute he just had to hold out till he got there.
Hearing what could be wheels, he sprinted to the only barricade formed by a tank that they managed to move there; surprised to see Terran SF's in what only could be some kick ass armor. Greeting Jack, his spirits were raised a bit considering Jack had been fighting for some time so they could absorb tactics and even more might be able to expand their little base with the reputation of victory continuously against the enemy.

Unpacking the new armor for Michael, he laid it out as he spoke, "This is the next gen armor Daniel and Cyclon Industries had built for this kind of environment, it has a rebreather system to allow operation anywhere, armor that doesn't compromise mobility even more is built just for us really. Start suiting up while my men secures this FOB," nodding before grabbing a fresh pack containing land mines with a magnetic detonator. Stepping out of the base, he started placing the mines in pot holes created by heavy fire; careful to cover them before moving on. Other SF's were placing the new shape charges which could destroy platoons and would discourage a full charge. Falling back, they soon pulled out the boxes of bullets with the guillie suits to hide from heat seekers; deploying at all corners to provide the best support even more to get the best angle for defending. Loading spare magazines, Jack turned to Michael who was carefully watching the streets for any activity; "So why did you choose the Nomads instead of leaving altogether?"

Slipping on the armor while everyone was busy fortifying the defenses, holding off on the helmet as he gathered ammunition before heading to his little spot. Attaching a long range scope to his rifle, he peered out onto the empty city streets for any possible targets. Noticing Jack taking a seat beside him, he pondered on the question while his mind was elsewhere, "I suppose I joined the Nomads for the same reason you re-enlisted, want to do something with my free time and couldn't sit around while this war continued. The only thing I can look forward to after all of this is some quality time in the brig...long story."
Spotting a small recon team of Picon soldiers, checking their faces to ensure they weren't Cylon models before sending a pair of Nomads to ensure their safety into the base. Even though the Cylons were everywhere, at least for now they weren't here but just like any calm, chaos had been guaranteed to follow but the question is when.

Listening to his brother, he sat in silence while the daytime melted into nighttime, joining Michael in the prone position; spotting the red glow of Centurions which was almost everywhere. Taps on the radio alerted them that platoons of enemy Centurions were everywhere, holding fire while the directional explosives took them out but they also drew attention to themselves as heavy raiders began fly overs to assess their strength. Forced now to hold their position, gun fire errupted but unlike Colonial forces, they stuck strictly to headshots and tried to keep the enemy from digging in.
Jack and his men had fought this kind of battle on Caprica which made them near experts on how to hold up during a siege. Keeping their weapons from giving off any kind of light, they forced the enemy to guess yet the Cylons were doing the one thing they couldn't stand which was they too were digging in. Setting an empty mag aside, Jack knew it was going to be a long night; opening fire onto yet another Centurion willing to cross into the minefield.

Jumping into the middle of their FOB, the raptor hovered just over the concrete as the snipers offloaded the cargo container before jumping down themselves. The raptor wasted no time as it jumped away, Rebecca wasted no time to get her snipers at the highest points to assist the defenders with the enemy overflow. Moving the container onto the mule, she rushed up to Jack's position, a bit surprised to see Michael as she dug in; "Word was you were on bed rest following a full spinal replacement, so brought Sam to this fight?"
Laughing under her helmet, she loaded up her M107 before firing the .50 caliber; shredding Centurions with a single shot.

Water filled his uniform as the rain poured in from above the tree canopy, the thunderstorm was tearing through the jungle, making the mud harder to walk. Moving up hill to stay out of the way from possible mud slides, helping up his Tauron troops before moving forward to a cliff that overlooked a village, mud and water pouring past them and over the cliff as if it was a waterfall. Peering through his scope, Romo spotted the village wasn't under Cylon control which meant the resistance was protecting it. Listening to the Captain as he yelled at him, "Village Duncan is protected by the Eighth Guard, it can provide shelter and we can use a transport in the morn..."
Interrupting the Captain, he had no plans to stop considering he promised Michael he would be there in a few days; "We're not stopping! Those Terrans in Queenstown may need help quick, I would like the Eighth Guard to join us, we're going need all the help we can get!"
Not bothering to disagree, the Captain slid down the safety rope with the Colonel right behind him, they were still an hour out yet through this rain it felt like they were further away.

Feeling the rain rush over them, the Centurions stopped their attack to begin reinforcing their own little base far from the practical 2 miles of the Terran snipers. Keeping their guard up, the Terrans began rearming for round two, sitting out in the rain instead of seeking shelter. Turning to Rebecca and Jack as he pulled out a nutrition bar, "So how are you two enjoying this little war out here?"
He knew both of them had been stationed on Caprica for almost two months which meant they must've been in this situation more times than him. Setting his canteen out to collect the rain water while he pulled out one of the herbal tea packets the doctor gave him for his back; inserting it into the water as he waited.

Pulling over the ammo box, he began refilling the empty mags as he turned to Michael; "I wouldn't call it a war, maybe a skirmish considering the Cylons didn't take inaccount for us being out here," setting another mag down as he began working on another, "Caprica City is probably amongst the most fortified considering the first week of us being there the Cylons attempted to break through at least ten times a day and failed each day," taking a sip of his own water bladder.
Keeping his eye on Cylon positions, they were digging in but they had no way of crossing into the Terran lines which meant until Colonel Shepard arrived it would be a relative stand still unless they had something to tip this fight into their favor.

Taking a sip of his tea, he listened carefully as he crossed his arms to try and stay warm, "Well the only thing I've had to deal with is a murderous A.I which I'm still carrying on my back just till the Atlantia or a Terran cruiser can relieve it from me," spotting a bit of movement on a larger scale as he peered through his scope, "I suggest we better find some cover!"
Grabbing his sniper rifle and pack, he had barely enough time to get to the stairwell when missiles impacted the roof, sending the right side of the building to the ground. Hanging on, he pulled himself up while taking a deep breath, moving towards cover while gunfire erupted; unsure on what condition Jack and Rebecca were in.

Surprised by the attack, Jack had no time to move as the building came down around him, sliding down the side only to hit the ground short of a few feet. Lifting the massive concrete slab off of him, he soon came under fire as he collapsed once more; feeling the suit taking the punishment as well as himself. Crawling to cover, alarms went off in his helmet telling him the armor couldn't handle any more abuse; pulling out his pistol as he opened fire once more on the Cylons.
Taking a deep breath, he noticed this was happening everywhere, the Cylons had cut through their defenses which meant the FOB was gone and soon it could be them as well.

Trapped underneath concrete slabs, her suit kept recycling the air as she slowly crawled across the ground with her sniper rifle in tow; slowly getting out till she crouched down beside Jack. Taking a deep breath, she hated being trapped and here they were trapped nearly on all sides by enemy forces. Shaking the dirt out of her rifle, she began firing back as well but her armor was already critical considering a building fell down from underneath her. Her electronics were fading both in and out but gave her enough time to order her men to setup a new perimeter to the nearest manhole. Taking off her helmet, she yelled up to Michael who was basically picking off targets; "We've gotta get moving! Cover us and then get your ass moving, sir," helping Jack up onto his feet. Placing her rifle over her shoulder, she pulled out one of her own pistols for defense but just like Jack, she too was hurting from the fall.

Reloading, he had a tactic setup in his mind which for now wasn't working but he knew the Captain was right, they needed to fall back before the raiders decide to join in. Sending a general retreat order, he pulled out his long range radio to send a message to Romo. Tucking the radio into his suit, he pulled out the master detonator for the minefield right in front of him. Flipping the switch, he began a full sprint towards the window leading to the building directly beside him, jumping just as the 200 pounds of explosives went off.
Nearly missing the building, it didn't matter considering the shockwave brought down this building as well. Wasting no time in getting up, he met up with his men as he turned to Jack; "I'm hereby ordering you and your men into the underground while me and my men meets up with the Picon forces. Report in every 12 hours on channel six and stay out of sight, do you understand?!"
Taking a deep breath, Michael and his fellow Nomads began sprinting towards an old subway station that could lead them out even more make it appear that they vanished altogether.

Nodding to the order, Jack watched the Nomads leave towards an open subway station which would take them out of the city while they're stuck taking the sewer lines out. Opening the manhole cover, they began dropping into the waist high water one at a time, waiting till the last man before moving out. Starting down the sewers, the water soaked into everything but at least here it was impossible to track as they dropped down into deeper tunnels which meant deeper water forcing them to swim.
Paddling through the deep water, it was making it harder for him to breath with his cracked ribs from the earlier fall but he had to keep it together otherwise he would be straining his own men. Holstering his pistol, the traffic above seemed to calm down as lights passed over the streets in an attempt to find the Terran fighting force.

Jogging along the old subway lines, he could feel the hard drives containing the A.I bouncing around but he couldn't stop considering they were still within the city and even more within enemy territory. Keeping a firm grasp on his rifle and his night vision goggles on, they were avoiding puddles or even unstable ground; taking every precaution to stay hidden for as long as possible. Running for hours wore them all down forcing them to stash the lightweight armor into an old subway car till they return with a larger force.
Finally reaching the outskirts of the city, the Nomads watched while Cylon heavy raiders flew over to aid in the search. Taking a five minute breather, they slowly started into the forest, knowing at least for now it was safer than the city.
