Gemenon is the planet where the Gemini tribe of Kobol settled, it is one of the Twelve Colonies. Little has been revealed of the planet itself. The climate has been briefly disclosed as being cold and mountainous. It is a twin planet of Caprica. Gemenon was one of the poorer colonies. The Gemenese were religious fundamentalist known for their literal interpretations of the Sacred Scrolls. Most of the population of Gemenon were apparently very strongly opposed to the federal laws legalizing abortion, as it was seen as "an abomination in the eyes of the gods". Before the First Cylon War, Gemenon was also home to the Kobol Colleges and a monotheistic cult called "The Soldiers of the One"

Gemenon is the planet where the Gemini tribe of Kobol settled, it is one of the Twelve Colonies. It is known throughout the Four Systems as "The First Colony". Gemenon is in the Helios Alpha star system, has a twin planet called Caprica that is only 493,000 kilometres (306,336.0 mi) away and together share a mutual orbit where each planet trades places with the other every 28.2 days. Gemenon also shares its star system with Picon and Tauron. Gemenon's largest land mass is the Pustiu Desert ("pustiu" is Romanian for desert), which lies in the shadow of the vast Gramada Mountains (in Romanian "gramada" means large pile) on the western coast. Between the Gramadas and the desert is the barren 10,000 feet (3.0 km) high plateau called the Spatiu Gol ("spatiu" is Romanian for "space" and "gol" is Romanian for empty: Empty Space), which slopes down into farmland. The east coast is the site of the capital Oranu, which has both temples and high-rise buildings, offset by holy statuary. Illumini, the religious center, features more sacred artwork, and was built around an enormous pantheon complex, in which every deity in the Sacred Scrolls is represented.[2] It is a twin planet of Caprica and shares its star system with Picon. Before the First Cylon War, Gemenon was also home to the Kobol Colleges and a monotheistic cult called "The Soldiers of the One". Events in the prequel series Caprica reveal how The Soldiers of the One influence the creation of a monotheistic Cylon God.

The real threat in Jack's mind was Gemenon since it shared orbit with Caprica which meant in 26 days the Cylons can launch yet another attack on Caprica and all they had for defense was the guns over the city and the orbital guns. The Colonial database had little on the colony other than it was cold so he had his men pack extra gear as well as ordering the raptor to stay with 5 separate Nomads to provide a proper defense while they explore the Colony. Feeling the raptor set down onto the rocky surface, Jack grabbed his rifle as he ordered a drone to be launched and one to be launched every 54 hours so they could have an eye in the sky at all times instead of free balling it like before. Opening the hatch, it was almost night and the tactical pad indicated it was 40 degrees F and dropping which meant unpacking their winter gear; simple enough considering the winter gear will be going over their current gear. Putting on night vision goggles, they had quite a ways to go to the nearest village and hopefully here they can raise an army they need after all even he doubted the General could conquer every colony or reprogram every citizen so their chances to fight back had to be here.

Hiking through the night, Jack and his team reached a temple built into the mountain though it appeared to be quite old and does appear that it had been through a fire fight but it matched old descriptions of the temple of the STO. Stripping the thick winter gear off, he ordered his men to secure the area as he grabbed his rifle before sprinting to the interior as he headed for the main hall where he knew the old STO leadership would be. His mission here was either to find deactivation codes or use their supply of Graystone Centurions to use against Tauron's Cylons even though they wouldn't last too long since they Mark 1 Centurions were based on them. Kicking down some doors, he searched through the ancient computers and the parchment paper but didn't find anything as the rest of his team came to him; there was nothing here but did look like survivors were here with footprints. Setting fire to the temple, he knew from old Colonial files that the STO were terrorists who even now only had a temple and now they didn't even have that; walking back into the desert as the temple burned in the distance; they gathered spare canteens before they left which extended their distance.

Walking through the shifting sands, the heat of the day got to them as they noticed vehicles in front of them with what it appeared to be soldiers in front of them; getting closer as he spotted civilians on the ground with Centurions behind them. These Centurions were different, they appeared to be skinnier than the ones he's seen before but they kept the red glow in their eyes but also appeared to be carrying rifles but it was all SF gear which meant the troops pulled off of Gemenon leaving only them. Approaching what appeared to be their Colonel, Jack knew these Centurions outnumbered them and even more had snipers trained on them which meant aggressive action wasn't the best; "I'm Commodore..." Interrupting the man, the Centurion raised his hand as he stepped forward to the man; "Commodore Jack Thrax, code name 'Snipes' current Commander of Caprica as well as Delta and Charlie Company of the old Special Forces Division. I'm C-107, Commander of Gemenon and I'm offering you a deal and if you don't take it then we'll kill them and you here and then retake Caprica while killing millions of civilians leaving your people to stay on Terra. I'm authorized by my leader, you will take these civilians and head back to Caprica...you have 35 days to leave Caprica or our armies will invade your walls and kill your men and you'll be my prisoner, Jack."He knew the Centurion was giving him one hell of a deal which meant he could evacuate the civilians back to Terra but he wasn't going to let a bunch of machines capture Caprica, clearing his throat as he slung his rifle; "We will take your offer but in 35 days when you ascend over my walls, your army will fall and you'll be nothing more than scrap." The Centurion lowered his hand as his fellow Centurions let go of the civilians before starting their walk to the vehicles as he chuckled; "I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Snipes, we will see who is stronger in 35 days and I'll bring friends that way when I'm dragging you out of the city; you can watch it burn," C-107 began his walk to the truck before leaving with the rest of them, having Siege Tanks follow their retreat towards the capital.Flipping on his beacon, the Cylons gave him a few thousand survivors which meant it was going to take time to get them all off world but he knew who ever they were facing that he was a few steps ahead and even more was learning from their SF allies.
