Message from the Commander, Fleet Shipyard Terra
Attention all Colonial vessels. Commencing immediately, those vessels assigned to the upcoming mission to the 12 Colonies will begin their transit to the Fleet Supply Station and will begin taking up station at the anchorage there.
All ships shall conduct their final preparations for the mission at that time. Ships will begin jumping to the first coordinates approximately 6 hours after all vessels have arrived at the Fleet Supply Station.
All Colonial vessels are urged to show caution while transiting the area as there will be many vessels present and shuttle/raptor traffic will be heavy. There will be a constant CAP flown while the Fleet is in transit and at anchorage.
Additional updates will follow from Fleet Comm Center.
End Message

Sitting in his chair on the bridge, Joseph nods to the Nav Officer.
"Leftenant, get us out of here and out to the staging area. I want a final check of all departments and divisions before we get there. I'll be in my quarters. Send someone for me before we get to the Supply Station."
The Nav Officer saluted Captain Markus and made her announcement to the crew.
"Aye Sir. Captain is off the bridge and I have the con."

Attention all Colonial Units. Cylon attack on Fleet located at Supply Station. Set CONDITION ONE throughout the Fleet.
The following vessels have been destroyed or damaged:
An unidentified Cylon Heavy Raider has launched several nuclear armed missiles towards the Fleet that is in anchorage, awaiting launching the rescue mission to the Colonies.
The Battlecruisers Archer and Magellan were each hit by one missile a piece, causing moderate damage to their Port Pods.
The Gunstars Cadmus and Ceres both were hit by one missile a piece, however the missiles had struck in the stern, directly into the Engineering sections. Both ships exploded into a thousand little pieces.
Pieces from both ships managed to strike the BSS-966 (Fleet Support Ship) Naru, destroying the ship as well.
The remaining missiles struck in the middle of the civilian ships, which had taken up station closer to the Supply Station. Fortunately, only a few of those ships were damaged, the defensive guns of the station having hit the incoming missiles.
The following civilian ships were present. Those designated as so were slightly to moderately damaged:
Delilah-Passenger ship. 28 crew, carries 200 passengers. Registered to Pan-Terran Tours (slight damage to starboard side of ship from shrapnel)
Hector-Passenger ship. 37 crew, carries 180 passengers, small cargo bay. Registered to Colonial Passenger Lines, Inc.
Pericles-Cargo ship. 102 crew. Carries medium cargo, dry bulk goods. Registered to Colonial Transport Services. (moderate damage to cargo bay)
Aphrodite-Luxury passenger Liner. 67 crew, carries 225 passengers. Registered to Cherry Excursions. (slight damage to shuttle landing bay)
Demeter-Agriculture cargo transport ship. 164 crew, carries livestock and containerized cereal grain products (oats, barley, wheat, corn). Registered to Agri-Transporters.
Jeremiah-Cargo ship. 85 crew, carries bulk manufactured goods (steel, processed lumber, etc;) Registered to Colonial Transport Services.
Pan-Colonial 612-Passenger Liner. 103 crew, carries 250 passengers. Registered to Cherry Excursions.
Erin-Maintenance/Repair ship. 89 crew. Capable of servicing all civilian ships for all repair needs. Registered to The Gaffo Corp. (moderate damage to landing/cargo bay)
Australias-Roll-on/Roll-off container ship. 76 crew, transports containers. Registered to Bullethead Transport.
Nirvana-Luxury Excursion/Passenger Liner. 218 crew, carries 450 passengers. Registered to Cherry Excursions.

As the message was displayed on the monitor, Joseph immediately began barking orders to the Bridge Crew.
"Set Condition One throughout the ship. I want our pilots in their birds, ready to launch in a seconds notice. Secure all cargo bay hatches and close all blast doors throughout the ship. Bring us to one-half speed. How's DRADIS look?"
The Nav Officer looked over at Joseph.
"All clear Captain, no enemy contacts but there sure are alot of Vipers and Raptors out there."
Joseph nodded.
"Good, it's nice to see the Fleet is on top of everything AFTER the fact. How the hell did a Heavy Raider just pop in and get that close without anyone noticing it? Is this what we get to expect on the mission? Continue course to the Supply Station and the anchorage. It's time to start jumping ships out of this system."

As the ship continued it's course to the Supply Station, Joseph continued to receive updates on the Cylon attack. Now there was a battlecruiser severely damaged, as well as two gunstars that were hit. Still, one basestar was practically destroyed and the second one was hit hard by the arrival of a second battlecruiser, the Athena. Looking at his DRADIS officer, Joseph asked about what was in front of them.
"How does the DRADIS look?"
The Leftenant looked over at Joseph.
"Still have our Viper cover Sir but we'll be losing it here shortly. Then we have 10 A.U. where we'll be all alone, before we get into the stations air cover."
Joseph wasn't thrilled about the idea of being all alone in space with Cylons snooping around. Still, if it came down to it, they could always jump back to safety.
Very well, keep your eyes on that DRADIS. I don't want any surprise visitors."

As the ship made its way closer to the Supply Station, Capt. Markus sat there looking over reports on the progress of the ships preparations for the upcoming mission. Capt. Markus looked out the front viewing window and saw the shape of the Battlecruiser Aphrodite sitting at one of the anchorages, ships hovering all around her, shuttles buzzing here and there, raptors landing and taking off from the Port pod. Looking over at the Helmsman, Capt. Markus showed some urgency in his order to her.
"Helm, course correction 20 degrees port. We're awfully close to the Aphrodite's position."
As the ship began to move away slowly, Capt. Markus let out a little sigh of relief. then went back to looking over the reports.
"C'mon people, there's a lot of traffic out there, let's pay attention to what we are doing."

Sitting there trying not to make it obvious he hadn't noticed the Commander flipping a switch, most likely a comm link, Cavil sat there in the seat of the Raptor. Settling in, he waited a few moments before speaking softly.
"Well you see Commander Little, I am aware that your fleet is preparing another mission back to your former Colonies. I say former because those that were left behind to die, well, they aren't part of your fleet. Your fleet. How can it be YOUR fleet? I mean you are a Cylon after all. Anyhow, you seem to forget there are OUR people living among your fleet. We know a lot more than you could ever imagine. Don't confuse the fact that we have been absent that we went away."
Looking over to the right of his view, Cavil could see their destination, or at least Commander Little's destination. Motioning to his right, Cavil spoke.
"Over there, to your right, head there."
As the raptor continued its course, Cavil picked up a headset and changing the frequency on the wireless, he spoke into the headset.
"Merchant vessel Marauder, this is Colonial raptor requesting emergency clearance to land."

Joseph looked over at the young woman. She couldn't be more than seventeen he thought to himself. They were getting younger and younger it seemed. Looking at his DRADIS console, he replied.
"Colonial IFF codes are good and current. She just left the station. Comm, inform them to land in our port bay. Notify the Marines to report to the port bay and stand ready. Leftenant, you have the con."
Joseph rose from his seat and headed towards the port bay, flanked by Marines on either side of him.

"Sir, I'm Ensign Jolene Gray. We don't have much time Sir."
Boarding the raptor, the Ensign quickly fired the engines up and began her pre-flight. Once the Vice-President was on board, she made her way to the starboard airlock. Looking over at the man, she smiled.
"Here we go Sir. Bridge, this is Raptor 16 ready to depart, over."
