Nodding to Phantom, Kat was used to running scout for these trips considering Settlement 14 & 15 were quite aggressive than the other Settlements. Lifting her mesh face mask, her eyes tinted to a dark blue while she started to sprint down the path with Viking behind her but not missing a step. The wood line around them had been laid down quite often with each trade trip but she could tell that someone else had ventured down her path. Pulling out her digital shades, she could see trip lines and sensors to track them which is far different than previous trade cycles. Signaling Viking to keep his eyes open, Kat connected with the sensors as she got a central hub location but knew no one was there. Pulling the sensor from the tree, she knew of experts in Settlement Three that could break it down and help her find those who are tracking them.

Spotting sensors along the road, Wild Ace knew the road was rarely used in the past yet he could see multiple tracks. Moving along the road, Wild kept his hand on his rifle but could see movement in the woods. Seeing just mere shadows, he pulled his stock to his shoulder...suddenly the sled exploded sending out the cargo and killing the horses as he dropped near one of the horses. Bullets went into the horse as he fired back with the cargo raining down. This was obviously a setup and they fell for it as he spotted nothing on thermals which could only mean they were masking themselves.
Flipping on his tracker via tactical pad, Wild Ace had calculated the response time of Viper support from the station...eight minutes was too long. The gear came from the station too which meant someone there had planned and executed this attack. Yelling over to Dare, this was looking more and more like a setup; "Dare, might be good time to go invisible!"

For years, they worked alongside and now the man attempts this? Hearing a series of missile impacts and explosions, the training ground was likely taken out which meant the Settlements might not be safe. Signaling Mad Dog to lay down cover fire, Dare picked up his covered DMR while Phantom laid down smoke; "Toss your radios and drop equipment not mission critical," tossing his tactical pad and strobe into the fire.
Dipping into the wood line, he noticed the ones firing on them were Marines as he fired upon them on the opposite side with his men falling back. Spotting Mad Dog loading his pack with the blue juice, without access to the secure supply, they would be going through heavy withdrawals.

Yelling over to Dare, this was looking more and more like a setup; "Dare, might be good time to go invisible!" Popping smoke, Mad Dog rushed to attach his P90 and magazine belt to his left side with his spare uniforms tossed aside. Filling his bag with bottles of the blue juice, he knew they would need this more than ever before rushing to the tree line with his filled pack and LMG in hand. He had been hit a few times with his body healing which had indicated the Marines were firing armor piercing rounds usually reserved for them.
Whispering to Dare, they didn't have as many bottles that they started with considering they shot into his pack; "Only have twelve bottles," less than half of what they packed which meant they couldn't drink as many as they regularly would.

Firing back at the Marines, Phantom had Kat fall back so they could cover their retreat while he tossed the radio aside. Taking down another Marine, Phantom cycled the bolt as he slowly backed off while picking up his shell casings. Walking through the forest, the Marines weren't in pursuit which meant they were dealing with their own dead. Sliding down a small embankment, Phantom noticed that Viking was assembling simple hidden traps that would slow the Marines. Small holes with sharpened bamboo only to be covered in mats of leaves...traps like these would send these Marines to the morgue. Navigating through it, Phantom noticed Viking had two ghillie suits set up to watch their rear but he needed to connect with the man. Setting up for staying behind, Phantom took his prone position and waited...
