Mk 2 Viper
The main stay of the Colonial Fleet with simplistic controls, no networking and a simple targeting system that accommodates the pair of wing mounted cannons and on certain missions up to 6 missiles. Often used as training craft as well, replacement are easy to find and use of universal components make it easy to repair.
Introduced Post First Cylon War and used extensively during the JTF wars, the Mark 7 took lessons learned and fought extensively beside the Mk 2. Improved group targeting, squadron networking and advance Dradis made this a ship for the newer generation. New Tri integrated cannons reduced drag on the fighter and increased the kill potential with the now 6 standard hard points for ordinances. Newer slick aerospike engines gave the Mk 7 exceptional speed.
New ship in the block and produced on mass for the new Battlestar fleet on Ares, the aircraft shares a lot with the Mk 2 & 7 in design but similarities end there. Designed around the Hawk aerospike engines, the ship is slightly faster than the Mk 7 but also carrying a smaller FTL in the rear capable of giving the fighter 2 jumps thus not making it dependent on the Battlestar. Equipped with 2 standard cannons and 2 fast firing cannons, the fighter is able to take on a role as an interceptor. Equipped to carry fuel pods and/or the standard compliment of 6 missiles gives this Terran Viper a bright future.
Nicknamed the SF Viper, this Viper was built in the Ares R&D and comes standard on the Titan. Built from both a stealth and armor composite material, this material reduces the Dradis signature to nothing more than a piece of debris. Built to fly both in Zero Gravity and atmosphere smoothly, the fighter uses lessons learned from the Blackbird and Colonial Stealth ships. Equipped with an advance FTL, the fighter can jump 10 times before needing to return to the Titan for refueling. With the exception of the 2 externally mounted cluster missiles, this ship can mount 9 internal with an advance targeting system inside the cockpit and a tail mounted gun to provide defense. The main cannons utilize a drop down design and are armed with uranium tipped rounds for when it is needed to fight.
Raptor
A standard amongst both Colonials and Terrans so they got a small upgrade but capable of carrying enough missiles to suppress a small country.
