Grabbing his SMG, James followed the Commodore through the water as they soon ran up the mud; spotting Nomads tackling Cylons to the ground with merely knives out; cutting the power to the Centurions. Rushing to the location of their pods, most took cover as they began firing onto the Cylons, drawing attention to themselves as the snipers began moving forward as well. Emptying his SMG into a few Centurions, he tossed the magazine onto the ground before loading up a fresh one; hearing rockets in the distance as the Nomads began firing onto the raiders which was even more insane. Opening fire on more Centurions, some Cylons began to attack them more openly while others marched in the background; knowing they were still miles from the air strip and it would take more time to get there. Leaning against the pod, he turned to Jack as he noticed Marines setting up a bridge to move tanks in around them to setup a beachhead; "We're 500 feet in the enemy lines and I doubt they're going to let us take more land without bloodshed."

Opening the door to the pod, Jack flipped on the emergency systems and loaded up the flare systems which are meant to keep missiles off of the pods if they're landing in a dangerous environment. Tapping on his radio, he gave a simple order which was used decades before when the SF's were outnumbered; "Bua," a old word used by an old culture that was wiped out by 100 SF's who were outnumbered. Firing off the flares from all the pods, the smoke covered up their numbers and the flares extended into the sky, jogging towards the Cylons in a rain of bullets. Dropping the toasters, the Nomads tackled others to the ground before dropping to the ground and using the Centurion dead bodies as cover; opening fire onto Cylons as they used both the confusion and smoke as cover.
Knowing his main force was focused on the Cylons, Jack had taken a small squad as well as James far from the battle, they had to get some of their own birds in the air. The airstrip was miles from the front lines, they needed some of their own birds in the air to turn the balance of this battle towards them or at least force the Cylons into a draw which would give the Terrans the time they needed; sneaking through the dark forest knowing the Cylons won't secure a forest that had many surprises.

Sandy watched as the humans on the other side were scrambling around. Not having air superiority was hurting their landing force but she had been assured that soon, that would all change. About the time she was getting ready to turn and tell the hybrid woman next to her to have their forces shift to the left, the sound of screaming engines came across the valley. At first, she thought it was the sound of Colonial Vipers. Then she recognized the sound. It was the sound of incoming missiles, followed by the sound of the new Cylon air superiority fighter known as the Javelin. She had to hand it to the Two who had helped develop it. Similar to a Viper, but sleeker in shape. Carrying six ship-to-ship missiles and four 40mm cannons, the fighter was more than a match to anything the Colonials or Terrans had in their respective arsenals. Three squadrons of Javelins, sixty aircraft, were now engaging gorund and air targets, proving some much needed releif to her forces on the surface.
"Now the fun begins. Order all of our forces to move forward. This ends now."
The woman nodded and ran off to have the order passed all along the front lines.

Getting closer to the airfield, Jack paused as he spotted new Cylon aircraft overhead with his men yelling one word that no SF had yelled since the opening days of 'Sparta/Corinth War'; "RETREAT," which meant the Cylons were focused on maintaining their lines. Taking a sip of water, he turned to James as he unpacked his long range radio to see if he can get support from the Battlestars; "Unfortunately those fighters won't do much against the Cylons and we've lost our momentum," pausing as a thought ran through his mind, "we might have to break down to peace talks."
Pulling out his radio, he noticed it was broken from the fall and even more drowned out from his swim in the river, grabbing his rifle as he started walking along. Spotting the airfield and the Cylon fighters, he knew if they could destroy the base of operations then it would weaken the enemies resolve; "James, I'll get you a Viper but you need to head to the Battlestar Independence and deliver a message to the Admiral, can you do that?"

Turning to Jack, he knew the Nomads were taking a beating so why go to some Admiral who is far from the battle where they could go back to their ship and re-equip; "No, sir, I can't do that. I can find a ship to fit us into and get us a bit further from the battle," pausing as he noticed Jack getting up and knowing he was furious as he raised his voice, "WE'VE LOST THE FRAKKIN ISLAND SO WHY TAKE IT BACK WHEN WE CAN RETURN LATER WITH AN ARMY. Your brother is attacking another island chain and to be honest, he's going to be outnumbered unless the Nomads join up then it would be easier on him and you," knowing he got through to the man as he holstered his SMG, "now am I going for a troop transport or a Viper?"

Turning to James, he noticed the man was at his breaking point which he couldn't blame him since he lost 20 men who followed his orders till they fell and he hated losing men; he knew from his own experience that it takes a toll. Setting down his rifle, he turned to James as he crossed his arms; "You make a valid point, Lieutenant, its hard to turn from a fight. I know this to be true and those in the Marines know that the SF's typically don't retreat but being Nomads we have to think about the bigger picture," pausing as he picked up his rifle before tapping his radio, "all Nomads begin retreating to the nearest airfield and let's prepare to be dropped into a new location."
Turning to James, he ordered his men to prepare to seize the airfield and hold it till James can find a decent raptor for them to get out of enemy territory and back across the line where it would be a bit safer.

Releasing the Vipers in atmosphere, the Icarus moved the airport to pick up the Nomads before moving over the island and through the new Cylon fighters as the Icarus quickly picked up Jack and his team. The Icarus released smoke canisters as it fired upon the Cylons onto the ground, hoping to relieve the stress for the Marines before moving up into the atmosphere to begin the short trip to the new battlefield.

Taking a dingy to the shallow end, Jonathan jumped out like the others as they silently walked up to the shoreline with the skinjobs keeping their backs to them; pulling out his knife as the first few Marines killed the skinjobs before opening fire on the Centurions who appeared to be covering the rear. Pulling out his sniper rifle, he allowed the Marines to move forward as he began picking off Centurions at a distance, focusing on headshots as the NSOTO's formed up a mile away with their snipers doing the same thing; the plan is to take the 10 miles of beach which was going to be a challenge but something they could do easily. Changing out rounds in mere seconds, he was ranking up his kills as the Marines began setting up mordor lines to fire dumb rockets down onto the Centurion lines and tossing out flares for the Nomads to begin landing as well as artillery guns.
Changing out magazines, he moved up the beach past the massive guns as the Marines began to take enemy territory; 300 feet so far but its more than what a single army could do and they were walking over decomposing corpses of the Marines that were once responsible for securing the islands. Covering over his nose, the smell was terrible but the Cylons don't smell like they do; ordering a squad to bury the dead as they continued to fire upon the Cylons.

Sending orders to the Battleship to begin firing upon the island, Tom stepped foot on the island as the Marines began lighting up fires to begin burning the dead while signaling other men of where they were at; spotting incendiary rounds hitting ground targets. The Nomads appeared to have dropped flack cannons to keep the raiders from picking off ground targets before dropping onto the ground, walking over hot brass casings as the cannons fired of 5 second rotations; spotting Jack on the ground with other Nomads. Chatter on the radio began filling up with men taking territory but the foot which normally wouldn't be nothing but the Nomads couldn't take territory before so anything to push up moral would be worth it; spotting the NSOTO's moving ahead to join the front lines. Hearing thunder in the distance, he knew it was going to be rainy but it wasn't going to slow them down; "Sounds like the gods are supporting this invasion."
Opening fire onto the Centurions, he joined the front lines and noticed the Cylons were reacting to this invasion by actually turning back to them and fighting which was futile; the speed that they were at there was no stopping.

Joining up with Marines at the extreme north end of the beach, he could see that the Cylons were opening up their lines and even more moving away from areas they once protected such as armories that once was under enemy control. Having gunners move into position to protect the armory, he could see that they were still powered up as he entered in his 24 digit pass code as the door opened to a long stairwell; starting down the stairwell to a massive door that opened to reveal tanks, humvees, artillery guns, and missile batteries. Most of the equipment was meant to protect the island during the last war but appeared to be more useful now that the invasion is under way, activating the industrial lifts which would lift everything from the underground armory onto the surface. Turning to Samuel, Michael rode the lift to the surface as he held onto his rifle; "Time to carve a path and run over some toasters along the way," noticing the young man smiling as they stood outside once more.
Igniting the fire, his Marines began to open fire as the tanks cranked to life as the cannons roared before moving off of the line; climbing onto the back of the tank as he pulled out his sniper rifle. His snipers can gain territory quicker now that they had a way to rise over the chaos, sending a message to General Yolander; 'Attack if you haven't already, the enemy is surrounded and we need this victory for Terra.'

Climbing into the tank, Samuel was glad that he opted to take the tank driving course cause now he was behind armor and even more couldn't get hurt any worst; closing the hatch as he started the engine. Feeling the cannon being loaded by the automated systems, he flipped off neutral before starting off of the platform and past the lines as he ran up the rpm's before driving into Cylons lines with Victor's tank right behind him; feeling small explosions under the treads. He could hear the bullets impact the armor and only getting a mile in enemy lines, he soon spotted the Javelin raiders and turned the barrel to begin firing upon them but the fighters were faster than the shells he was firing; feeling the missiles and large caliber rounds impacting the tank which the rounds took apart his tread as the missiles hit the back of the tank. Tearing apart the tank's power plant, smoke began to fill the compartment as he entered a virus into the computer to wipe everything clean before opening the top of the tank; "Well, we better start running now before the Cylons surround us." Signaling Victor to cover their retreat, he began wiring up his G-4 before dropping his sack of explosives into the tank; knowing the explosion would detonate the shells and cause the tank to explode in one hell of a fireball. Dropping down with Michael and the Marines, he began sprinting back to the other tank as he fired upon the Centurions; feeling his ankle in pain as he tried to keep up knowing he had to block out the pain if he was going to keep up. Feeling droplets of rain, he could see the fires getting closer which meant the other teams were slowly gaining ground but he also knew the explosion would open up more ground; detonating as they got closer to their lines.

From the cockpit of her viper, Shay connected to the other squadrons and available ships. *Let's look alive, boys and girls. Launch when ready and tear it up. When this is over, we'll make sure Colonel Martin is the one buying the drinks.* Laughing, the Lieutenant settled into her viper as it took off, the other squadrons following. The raiders didn't prove difficult, but the other ships were a different story, and the CAG watched as two vipers went down almost immediately.

Controlling the armies on the extreme southern point of the island, Jack lit his fire when he received word of the tanks that entered the fray though he knew those new raiders would focus on them; sending word to the aircraft carriers to stay 2 miles off shore. Taking a deep breath, his Nomads had already killed hundreds but from the chatter from Mayday; the Marines that had been defending the islands barely moved which meant no one knew they were fighting. Spotting a massive explosion which lit up the sky from the north, right away he knew a tank was down which meant the Cylon's new fighter was on the playing field and that the Colonial pilots were going to go head to head with them. Water filled the divots in the ground from men walking and in the darkness, blood also filled some cracks as men slowly died gun shots but everyone kept fighting; the medics couldn't keep up with all the injured but couldn't pull them off the line either for they had to win the battle.
The lightening lit up the battlefield and it appeared as if the Cylon army had split in two with one end focusing their efforts on them while a sliver focused on the defending Marines which meant the Cylons believed they had everyone contained.

Jasmine was busy barking orders to the few officers and senior enlisted Marines she still had available. Although the Terrans were beating the Cylons back, slowly, the lines in her area were grwoing smaller and smaller. Out of five hundred and sisty-seven Marines she had started with, she now only had three hundred and fifteen left. The new Cylon fighters had managed to slice through the Colonial vipers within minutes. Had it not been for the Terran air elements, this entire island would have been bombed. The sounds of the Terran air defense units could still be heard. Looking at the female Sergeant Major standing there next to her, Jasmine spoke rather matter-of-factly.
"Sgt Maj Greer, I swear, those frakking Terrans sure learned how to fight awfully quick. Get our people ready for a final assault. This time, it'll be US making that assault. We either go down fighting or we may as well commit ritual suicide."
The woman snapped a salute then hurried over to the comm tent to give the order. Jasmine watched as she left, recalling the many years they had served together. Perhaps this would be their final action together. Looking at the young faces standing a round her, she smiled, then spoke.
"All right Marines, to your units. We move in five minutes. Let's get rolling."

Running with Samuel away from the tank, they got just outside the blast range as Samuel set off the explosives, watching as the Cylons were obliterated; dropping to the ground as the barrel barely missed them. Getting back up, he could see the Vipers overhead as he reached friendly lines which was being reinforced with the Humvees and the large caliber cannons; moving behind the truck as he took a breath. Under green light, he noticed he took a bullet to his left side as he allowed the medic to pull the round out before wrapping it up; knowing that they needed to push especially now since the Marines that were defending are now attacking. Putting on his goggles, he turned to Sam as he grabbed his rifle once more; "Time to get our hands dirty," signaling his forces to move forward into the fighting. Moving around the trucks and tank, Michael began opening fire with a full company beside him as Samuel prepared to put down a cover shield so they can reload safely though Michael advised against it; stepping over dead Centurions as they reloaded while still walking.
Firing both head shots and mid shots, they knew the Centurions brain was in fact in the chest where it was a bit more protected; pushing further and further into once held Cylon territory as they continued to massacre the Cylon Army.
