As Judge Maggie O'Leary, Fifth Terran Court (NPC)
Maggie looked out the window of the air force plane that had taken her back to her city. She always enjoyed travelling to Delos City but was glad to be back. Once the plane had touched down, she began making preparations to get off. There wasn't much time to get ready but in less than twenty-four hours, the cylon and Nationalist menace would be gone from this planet. And if they were lucky, the Gondawan issue would also be resolved. Running to the waiting car, she gave the driver his instructions.
"Corporal, get me to the courthouse fast."
Snapping a salute, the man closed the door and rushed to the driver's side. Getting in, he fastened his seatbelt and drove off, heading to the court house several kilometers away.

It's been several months now since the latest Cylon attacks on the planet and all appears to be in order. Since that time, the Colonial military presence on the planet has been reduced to just a few hundred marines and a handful of Colonial Viper squadrons. The majority of the Colonial Fleet has been sent to the various shipyards for repairs and in some cases complete overhauls.
The civilian officials have all returned to their respective areas to resume the business of government. Still, with no actual working Colonial civilian government, there is unrest among the Colonial civilian population and tensions have steadily risen over the course of these past several months. Judge Schwein and her followers have been attemptimg to maintain a central working government but have met heavy resistance from the other civilian officials.
Drexl Industries have positined itself as the one source ofr almost all manufacturing on the planet and elsewhere in the solar system. The large as a planet weapons platform, known as the Drex Star, continues to provide the main defense for the planet and the surrounding air space, putting Drexl in a most advantageous position. The young and upcoming Terran fleet continues to assert itself in the absence of the Colonial Fleet, which is the only force preventing Drexl from assuming complete military control in the system. Soon however, the Colonial Fleet will be returning it's vessels to service.

At the new Presidential office on the grounds of Corinth University, near the airport
Timeline: Three weeks after having arrived in the Capital
It had been almost three weeks now since J and Captain Markus, along with several of the new Quorum members and a security detail from the CMS Marauder, had arrived in the capital city. Having set up temporary space in the Mayors office and finally getting the word out to the citizens of Terra and the Fleet that the government was being re-formed, J was ready to finalize the announcement with a personal message to everyone.
The city was still in disarray and ruin from the massive Cylon attack a year ago so getting the media outlets to get their equipment to the capital and setting up the satellite feeds had taken much longer than expected and it was frustrating J to no end. Already the quarreling between the various factions had begun-the Federalists set against the Spartists, the Isolationists in the Southern Hemisphere against the Monarchists in the north, just south of the Capital, the Gondawans against the Expantionists, and the Quorum crying about being left out. J secretly wished he had just gone to the Independence Brig and not immersed himself in this debacle and experiment in futility.
What the frak was Ben Little thinking when he started to re-form the government? Doral was probably onto something when he disbanded the Colonial government, as illegal as it may have been. Looking at his new Chief Aide, Neko Goor (the former woman having decided to pursue a different path in the new government by accepting the post of Agriculture Secretary), J smiled and nodded that he was ready. Looking at the array of cameras and recording devices, J cleared his throat and read from the teleprompter in front of him.
"Ladies and gentlement of Terra, the Colonial and Terran Fleets, citizens of the Terran system, and mostly, our Cylon allies and fellow Colonial citizens: For those of you who do not yet know who I am, allow me to introduce myself. I am J Castorious, former Acting President of the 12 Colonies of Kobol and Colonial Marine. Ever since President Phineas Doral announced some almost two years ago the disbandment of the Colonial government, our combined societies have been in an upheval and in total disarray. Fortunately, the late President Benjamin Little saw the error of that decision and was in the process of re-forming the government when he was killed by Cylon forces, done so while saving several thousand souls doing what he knew best, being a warrior. We shall never forget his actions those months ago and for that reason, I am formally announcing the reforming of the Colonial government, a government that will be for all citizens of Terra and her fleets and stations and settlements. This action is effective immediately. In the coming days, I will be announcing the members of my cabinet and will be visiting the various ships and settlements, as well as condcuting a goodwill tour of Terra herself. I thank you all and may the Gods continue to look down upon us with favor."

The shuttle was suddenly under attack. The pilot, a young Terran woman in her late 20's, veered the craft left and right. Suddenly, a voice came over the comm.
"Shuttle craft, this is Asp Leader Seven Seven Alpha, we've got your six, make course for Samos City, do not alter your course, say again, make course for Samos City and do not change your course, over."
The pilot keyed her mic and replied.
"Asp Seven Seven Alpha, copy that, we are diving for the deck and will hold course to Samos City, shuttle four two over and out."
The Terran Asps streaked over head and immediately engaged the trailing raiders, taking out seven from the onset. Breaking their formation of thirty craft, the Asps tore into the remaining raiders and began coming up from behind them. The shuttle streaked towards the surface of the ocean and quickly covered the distance to Samos, keeping on course to Samos City.
"Samos Control, this is Shuttle four two, we are inbound fast and have bandits on our tails. Asp Flight is engaging bandits, request imediate clearance to land, over."
"Shuttle four two, you are cleared for immediate landing at Terran Air Force station, coordinates six three three karem five two, the field is clear for you, Samos Control over."
The pilot saw the airfield about ten kilometers out. She crossed the coast and brought the shuttle up a few hundred meters, coming into the dense tropical forest that surrounded the entire coast. COming up and over the tree tops, she saw the airfield. Bringing the nose down a bit, she backed off the throttle and began her descent. Looking back at her passengers, shw remarked.
"We're coming into Samos City, to the Air Force station outside the city. It appears the city is also under attack but the airfield is clear. Better than getting shot down, huh?"
Carlie was in no mood for jokes. She should've stayed put where she was. Now, she would be stuck in Samos City. Along with the heat and humidity. Her hair and clothers would never make it. Looking at the man enxt to her, she quipped sarcastically.
"Yeah, apparently she's never been to this hell hole before. We may as well landed in what's left of Sparta for Gods sake."

It had now been several months and she was still stuck here in this hot, sticky place. Her hair was destroyed, she knew it. Her clothers hung on her like wet paper towels and to top it all off, she was about to meet with the person that was supposed to be in charge, none other than Judge Maggie O'Leary, Fifth Terran Court. She really despised dealing with the Judiciary and under the current circumstances, it was going to be even worse. Looking to her newly assigned aide, she spoke sarcastically.
"I'm sure the Judge has a nice air conditioned house with nice cool running water. Me, what do I get? I get a nice open hut, that's what I get. Oh, and warm water. Are you tellng me there is NO ice down here?"
She knew she had better mind her words around the Judge. What with the planet in total disarray, the Judges were the government now and their toleration for dissent was at an all-time low. So far, no les than thirty administrators had either been relieved of their duties or had vanished, just gone. She had no intention of becoming the object of the Judges affections, not at this time. Lookinbg out the window, she could still see the smoke on the horizon from Hemsburg. It had been spared in the initial attacks but now was ablaze. Reports had indicated a small nuclear weapon had been detonated over the city but there was no confirmation. Turning to the aide, she lowered her voice.
"We need to consider an alternate plan of getting out of here at a moments notice. The cylons are stepping up their attacks adn this isn't the sturdiest building by a long shot. If Hemsburg has been nuked, we need to find another way out of here, say by boat."
"The Navy is still here, there are at least twenty surface ships in the harbor. I have some contacts there, I'll see what I can come up with ma'am."
"Do it soon, I don't think there's much time left before they return here and nuke the place."

It's been several weeks now since the cylon attack on the Terran system has taken place. Although there are still pockets of resistance from the Cylons and hybrids who had landed on the surface, the majority of combat operations are over and the re-construction has begun in earnest, both on and off the planet. The Fleet Shipyard, to include the Auxilliary Shipyard, has also begun not only repairs to their facilities but to the Fleet ships that survived the attack. The two medium sized civilian shipyards did not fare so well but are able to accept very small craft for limited repairs. Drexl Industries, with their very large mobile shipyard have now returned to the Terran system, having taken up staion not far from the Fleet Station in orbit with Terra. The famed Drex Star however remains in a secret location, repairing damage to her propulsion and main weapons systems.
The President has returned to the Capital and is in the process of re-forming his Cabinet. The reconstruction of the capital is underway but the industrial area to the north of the city has been deemed a complete loss. The planetary shipyards managed to survive but the workforce has been decimated. The Ministry of Labor has put out an emergency call for any and all qualified welders, plumbers, electricians, carpenters and all other skilled trades to report to the nearest repair facility or factory for assignment. The same order has also been issued throughout the civilian fleet as workers are needed to replace those killed or injured during the Cylon attack.
A complete listing of ships destroyed or damaged will be sent tot the Fleet shortly, as will those cities that were hit by nuclear devices by the Cylons.

Sitting in his room looking out over the vast family lands on Samos Island, Richard could still see the smoke risign from the ruins of Samos City. The Cylons had bombed the city several weeks before, at the height of the attack and the devastation was clearly visible from here. Richard knew it was time to make his move, even if it meant going up aganst the President and his ever growing supporters. Still, it was time to seize the chance and assume his rightful position. His aide had warned him that there was still an active hit out there on him, courtesy of the Terran operative Marla Johnannsen. Richard could only laugh to himself, since that woman was supposedly either dead or in a coma somewhere in Corinth. Looking at his watch, he remarked to himself.
"Well, looks like it's time for lunch."

At approximately 1207 local standard time, a nuclear detonation destroyed Frondal City, Frondal Islands, Southern Hemisphere.
No communication has been established with the city or surrounding area at this time.

Location: DRADIS Control Center, 25 kilometers outside Delos
One of six DRADIS Control Centers located on Terra, responsible for the tracking of the planetary weapons designed by the Gondwans for the defense of the planet. Although the weapons themselves are manually operated, the tracking of targets is controlled by the DRADIS Control Centers. There are 127 planet-based weapons scattered across Terra, all tied into these 4 DRADIS Control Centers, assigned into sections.
It had been discovered that the Cylons had managed to infiltrate those Centers and taken them off-line. One of the Centers was located on the Frondal Islands. The recent nuclear detonation, so powerful it pretty much wiped everything and everyone located in the Frondal Islands off the face of the planet, took out the DRADIS Control Center there.
The other locations are as follows:
Corinth City-Fleet HQ City of Sparta-20 kilometers north of the City at an abandoned Spartan military installation Ersea City-Located at the military installation in the City Delos City-25 kilometers north of the City
Only the Delos City location was unaffected by the infiltration of Cylon-Human Hybrids. An attentive TDF Captain, Kiera Zalon, challenged the "DRADIS Technicians" who came to perform maintenance, something that was not on the report that was sent each day. It should be noted that these "DRADIS Technicians" were all female, extremely attractive females. The Cylons had counted on, rightfully so, that sending in these particular females would distract the human crews of the DRADIS Control Centers, thus permitting the sabotage that had been undertaken. In the event of any challenge from those crews, the Hybrids were instructed to take the installations by force and destroy them with explosives.
This was not necessary in Corinth and Sparta. It was necessary though in Ersea, where the Officer-In-Charge, a TDF Major, Liam Jericho, saw through the Hybrid ruse and although he and his security personnel acted quickly, one of the Hybrids was able to detonate her explosives, killing everyone in the center and destroying the center itself.
Fortunately though, Captain Kiera Zalon immediately knew these were not humans nor was their mission a legitimate one. Within mere seconds of the Hybrids presenting themselves, she shot four of them dead and wounded the fifth one and prevented her from detonating her explosives. Unfortunately, with only one DRADIS Center still in operation, it could not handle the tracking of all 127 weapons sites. The Cylons had still managed to take down the planets defenses. The race was on to fix what the Hybrids had messed up in Corinth and Sparta. If those two sites could be brought back on line, the planets defenses would be fully operational.
Only time would tell.....

She sat there, on a bench in the downtown part of the City. It was a beautiful day and the people of the city were moving around, as if the current events taking place did not concern them. She laughed a little and wondered how that was even possible. Humans had always amazed her, their resilience and ability to overcome just about any obstacle. She had no quarrel with these humans, or any human for that matter, but she was convinced that there was no other choice but to do what she had been sent here to do. Cavil had shown them the proof of the humans deception, the planet sized ship known as the Drex Star was already in the system of their former home world and it would be a matter of time before they discovered the location of their new home planet. She looked down at her feet, at the bag sitting there between them. She closed her eyes and whispered the words that nobody would ever hear.
"For the greater glory of the Cylon people, I give up my life to you, the One true God"
Pressing the button on the device she held in her right hand, she breathed out slowly and in an instant, what was once a beautiful City downtown was reduced to nothingness, the destruction racing outward in a circle for 3 kilometers.
it would take the humans a few days to figure out where the detonation originated but in the meantime, this was merely another surprise from Cavil.

TDF Nuclear Assessment Team 3, Ground Zero in Samos
As the Team made its way through what was once Downtown Samos, the Officer-in-Charge, Major Rebekkah Julian kept her gaze both on the ground she was walking over and the Geiger Counter in her right hand. The needle was staying pretty steady in the mid range of radiation, something she found puzzling considering the detonation had essentially wiped out the entire city for a radius of 3 kilometers. She looked up and around, surveying the nothingness of the scene before her. Keying her comm unit, she spoke to the rest of her team.
"Readings are staying consistent, and we're pretty much at the source of the detonation. Let's get some soil samples and then head back to camp. I'm ready to get out of this suit and a nice long hot shower, then something to eat. And be careful not to rip your suits, there's a lot of debris and even though these readings are in the mid range, they're still high enough to kill you rather quickly."
There was something else too. Hers was not the only assessment team present. Someone in charge felt it might be a good idea to send in personnel who specialized in biological concerns. There were still lingering reports of people coming down with some unknown illness, months ago, when Corinth was first attacked. It was similar to an upper respiratory illness but much harsher. The concern was perhaps a biological had been mixed with the device detonated here, engineered perhaps to withstand the destructive force of a nuclear detonation and all the high heat associated. Either way, their encampment had taken necessary precautions to protect everyone, including the survivors. She sighed to herself.
"What the frak is next, seriously. I should have volunteered to re-locate to Kobol."
