As Judge Nicholai Drombovitch, Third Terran Court (NPC)
Nicholia was pacing back and forth in his office. The view outside was superb, the frozen sea, the little wisps of ice crystals forming on the waves as the broke against the sea wall. He was waiting for confirmation that Judge Schwein had made it safely back to the planet and was on her way to the capital. Ever since the latest cylon attack, the city had been on alert and under a curfew. Nicholai was not fond of stepping on civil liberties but this was a necessary evil. A knock on the door brought him back to the present.
"Come in."
A young female in uniform walked into the office and handed him a piece of paper. Bowing slightly, she turned and exited the room. Opening the paper, he released a sigh. Looking over at the two individuals seated, he spoke.
"She made it. Now, it's time. Go back to your courts and prepare your people. I'll make the call to the Council. Be safe, and we'll all meet up in Corinth."
The two individuals rose from their seats, exchanged handshakes and exited the room, each heading to their own mode of transportation and to their respective base of operations.

It was cold, but then again it was always cold here. Looking at his watch, John knew it was time to go. Getting up from his seat at the airport, he walked over to the gate, showing his identification to the soldier standing there. Walking past the woman, he made his way to the aircraft that would take him away from here and to another location.

John took his seat on the plane, flipping through a magazine while he waited for the rest of the passengers to board. He was ready to get this trip over with when a passenger stood there, looking at the seat next to him. Looking up, John smiled, removing his small carry-on bag from the seat.
"I was wondering when you were going to arrive, figured you took a government flight."
Judge Nicholai Drombovitch, Third Terran Court (NPC) took the seat, adjusting himself. Looking at John, he yawned, then reclined his seat backwards.
"Government planes are for suckers. Wake me when we get there. The others should be on their way. Judith has been taking a lot of flack for becoming somewhat power hungry so it's time to set things straight and get the Council on board. That and we need to reign the good Judge in a bit."
John shook his head, then went back to his magazine. He muttered to himself.
"Judith, Judith, Judith. How silly can you be to let yourself be taken in like this, knowing damn well what to expect."

It's been several months now since the latest Cylon attacks on the planet and all appears to be in order. Since that time, the Colonial military presence on the planet has been reduced to just a few hundred marines and a handful of Colonial Viper squadrons. The majority of the Colonial Fleet has been sent to the various shipyards for repairs and in some cases complete overhauls.
The civilian officials have all returned to their respective areas to resume the business of government. Still, with no actual working Colonial civilian government, there is unrest among the Colonial civilian population and tensions have steadily risen over the course of these past several months. Judge Schwein and her followers have been attemptimg to maintain a central working government but have met heavy resistance from the other civilian officials.
Drexl Industries have positined itself as the one source ofr almost all manufacturing on the planet and elsewhere in the solar system. The large as a planet weapons platform, known as the Drex Star, continues to provide the main defense for the planet and the surrounding air space, putting Drexl in a most advantageous position. The young and upcoming Terran fleet continues to assert itself in the absence of the Colonial Fleet, which is the only force preventing Drexl from assuming complete military control in the system. Soon however, the Colonial Fleet will be returning it's vessels to service.

From Corinth: :Captain Drake; Terran Navy, Public Relations:
Stepping up to the podium as the Captain set the tablet down, unbuttoning his jacket as he prepared to read the statement that Captain November helped beef up; "I'm Captain Drake and we received a signal from Caprica, we had been coordinating operations with what was left of the Special Forces Division who was actively fighting General Harperson and his forces and for a week we've held onto Caprica City which was our base of operations. Two hours ago, Cylon Forces launched an attack which the attack lasted for less than an hour resulting in the complete loss of Caprica City," pausing as he heard reporters asking dozens of questions as he raised his hand for them to sit, "details are being sent to the fleet and what I can say for now, we lost an entire company with unconfirmed reports that the population of the city was wiped out. The Battlestar Cerberus is being rushed into service and will be headed to the Colonies to confirm the reports of Caprica City and until then we'll inform you of any changes, thank you," stepping away from the podium as reporters asked more questions considering he just dropped a bombshell that's already exploded in the fleet.

At the new Presidential office on the grounds of Corinth University, near the airport
Timeline: Three weeks after having arrived in the Capital
It had been almost three weeks now since J and Captain Markus, along with several of the new Quorum members and a security detail from the CMS Marauder, had arrived in the capital city. Having set up temporary space in the Mayors office and finally getting the word out to the citizens of Terra and the Fleet that the government was being re-formed, J was ready to finalize the announcement with a personal message to everyone.
The city was still in disarray and ruin from the massive Cylon attack a year ago so getting the media outlets to get their equipment to the capital and setting up the satellite feeds had taken much longer than expected and it was frustrating J to no end. Already the quarreling between the various factions had begun-the Federalists set against the Spartists, the Isolationists in the Southern Hemisphere against the Monarchists in the north, just south of the Capital, the Gondawans against the Expantionists, and the Quorum crying about being left out. J secretly wished he had just gone to the Independence Brig and not immersed himself in this debacle and experiment in futility.
What the frak was Ben Little thinking when he started to re-form the government? Doral was probably onto something when he disbanded the Colonial government, as illegal as it may have been. Looking at his new Chief Aide, Neko Goor (the former woman having decided to pursue a different path in the new government by accepting the post of Agriculture Secretary), J smiled and nodded that he was ready. Looking at the array of cameras and recording devices, J cleared his throat and read from the teleprompter in front of him.
"Ladies and gentlement of Terra, the Colonial and Terran Fleets, citizens of the Terran system, and mostly, our Cylon allies and fellow Colonial citizens: For those of you who do not yet know who I am, allow me to introduce myself. I am J Castorious, former Acting President of the 12 Colonies of Kobol and Colonial Marine. Ever since President Phineas Doral announced some almost two years ago the disbandment of the Colonial government, our combined societies have been in an upheval and in total disarray. Fortunately, the late President Benjamin Little saw the error of that decision and was in the process of re-forming the government when he was killed by Cylon forces, done so while saving several thousand souls doing what he knew best, being a warrior. We shall never forget his actions those months ago and for that reason, I am formally announcing the reforming of the Colonial government, a government that will be for all citizens of Terra and her fleets and stations and settlements. This action is effective immediately. In the coming days, I will be announcing the members of my cabinet and will be visiting the various ships and settlements, as well as condcuting a goodwill tour of Terra herself. I thank you all and may the Gods continue to look down upon us with favor."

Briefly reading 'Operation New Horizon' file, Alex knew large scale preparations would throw everyone into a panic but he was one of the few politicians who were continuing business as usual. Handing the folder over his security, he fixed his jacket as he approached the reporter; another interview to explain the new projects.
Reporter: This is Craig Wesson with Terran News Network and once more we have Colonial Ambassador Alex Jones who has invested $2.4 million cubits for the war memorial. This memorial is something that is unseen but why do this, Ambassador?"
Ambassador: On Caprica and other Colonies, we have memorials to never forget the wars of the past even Tauron has memorials for the civil wars. Even though the Special Forces were corrupt by a single leader, millions men and women fought in the wars whether started by Terrans or Cylons.
Reporter: We know from historical records that the last Terran war prior to the Colonials were quite bloody but I imagine there is more to this.
Ambassador: I will be advocating a holiday. A day of remembering they're sacrifices and one day ensuring that war or at least this terrible acts can be prevented. The Homeland Defense Force or HDF is the first step to this goal and in the Colonies crime has been all but non-existent. Maybe, with some work, the HDF here can achieve the same.
Reporter: One hell of a goal and may I say thanks again for joining us on this broadcast. Ground work will start soon. This is Craig Wesson with Terran News Network and have a good night.
Stepping into his waiting car, Alex picked up the thick file as his aides began driving him to the Ministry of Defense.

Location: DRADIS Control Center, 25 kilometers outside Delos
One of six DRADIS Control Centers located on Terra, responsible for the tracking of the planetary weapons designed by the Gondwans for the defense of the planet. Although the weapons themselves are manually operated, the tracking of targets is controlled by the DRADIS Control Centers. There are 127 planet-based weapons scattered across Terra, all tied into these 4 DRADIS Control Centers, assigned into sections.
It had been discovered that the Cylons had managed to infiltrate those Centers and taken them off-line. One of the Centers was located on the Frondal Islands. The recent nuclear detonation, so powerful it pretty much wiped everything and everyone located in the Frondal Islands off the face of the planet, took out the DRADIS Control Center there.
The other locations are as follows:
Corinth City-Fleet HQ City of Sparta-20 kilometers north of the City at an abandoned Spartan military installation Ersea City-Located at the military installation in the City Delos City-25 kilometers north of the City
Only the Delos City location was unaffected by the infiltration of Cylon-Human Hybrids. An attentive TDF Captain, Kiera Zalon, challenged the "DRADIS Technicians" who came to perform maintenance, something that was not on the report that was sent each day. It should be noted that these "DRADIS Technicians" were all female, extremely attractive females. The Cylons had counted on, rightfully so, that sending in these particular females would distract the human crews of the DRADIS Control Centers, thus permitting the sabotage that had been undertaken. In the event of any challenge from those crews, the Hybrids were instructed to take the installations by force and destroy them with explosives.
This was not necessary in Corinth and Sparta. It was necessary though in Ersea, where the Officer-In-Charge, a TDF Major, Liam Jericho, saw through the Hybrid ruse and although he and his security personnel acted quickly, one of the Hybrids was able to detonate her explosives, killing everyone in the center and destroying the center itself.
Fortunately though, Captain Kiera Zalon immediately knew these were not humans nor was their mission a legitimate one. Within mere seconds of the Hybrids presenting themselves, she shot four of them dead and wounded the fifth one and prevented her from detonating her explosives. Unfortunately, with only one DRADIS Center still in operation, it could not handle the tracking of all 127 weapons sites. The Cylons had still managed to take down the planets defenses. The race was on to fix what the Hybrids had messed up in Corinth and Sparta. If those two sites could be brought back on line, the planets defenses would be fully operational.
Only time would tell.....

As Lukana Moldoran, Assistant Secretary of Labor (NPC)
Standing in what now constituted as her office (a tent that was erected on the grounds of the University of Corinth), Lukana stood at the podium, preparing to address the crowd of people before her. She looked at her assistant to make certain they were ready to broadcast. Clearing her throat, she spoke into the microphone.
"Ladies and Gentlemen of Terra, my name is Lukana Moldoran and I am here to announce that your government is still here and we are in the process of rebuilding as I speak. Do not listen to the message of a former member of the military, one how has decided to take by force, the reigns of leadership. General Harperson is not in charge, I am. I hereby declare that any and all persons who take up arms against my duly appointed government and the citizens of this planet, those persons shall be arrested, tried and executed immediately, regardless of who they are. I am also declaring that ALL military personnel and assets are hereby under the control of the newly constituted government. Since our fearless President decided to evacuate herself and her friends from Terra, I am officially assuming the office of President of Terra, complete with all powers and authorities therein. More information shall be provided in the future. Thank you all."

Setting my Mini Raptor down in a field far from the city. Turning on the camo covering then I set the frequency alarm to Mom's private channel then I power down and grab my gear. I step outside and breathe the clean air. It reminds me of my cabin, though that's a sad memory now. The radiation nearly destroyed everything there. I was lucky to even get out alive. Now I got to set to finding me some place to make camp. I start walking up into the higher terrain in hopes of finding a cave or some kind of shelter.
Keeping my eyes peeled for any trouble I make my way as quietly as my Mom taught me. She did a good job in my training and made sure I could survive any trouble that might find me.
I see what looks like a fresh water river so I head over there and kneel down when I get there. I take my test kit out of my pack and get a sample of water. I keep looking over the horizon for any unknowns as I shake the test kit.
I hold the tube up to the light and then test the PH level. It looks ok so I take a little sip. It's good. I smile and fill my water cantene. I wipe the sweat off my upper face and around my lips.
I walk a couple miles further up the mountainside and I see a dark area so I go to investigate it. Closer i get, I can see it is some sort of a cave. Now if only there's no inhabitant I gotta place to crash tonight! Mom'd be proud I think.
