Setting down a black disc onto the ground, John started the briefing while they all got comfortable with an image of Alpheus; "As soon as the HDF was formed, the Thrax brothers wanted to show not just the new government but the people that they were legit about peace so they focused on Alpheus. The former Nomad Division had one task which was to make the city crime free," switching to the surveillance footage taken 12 hours before. What the Colonel did was quick but now put tensions up between the two peoples. Picking up the disc, he tucked it back into his pack; "The Generals want this dealt with but also advise caution. There was a lot of classified shit going on in Alpheus and if that gets leaked then it'll question what truly happened during the war. I'll be traveling with you till further notice but at this time a mission to get the Colonel has been approved."

Listening to the briefing, even Tom knew crime free was impossible but Corinth was close with the occasional appearance of the extremist but it was nothing that they and mystery vigilante could deal with. Looking over the calendar, Tom grinned as he spoke softly for he could explain a bit of the motivations of Michael Thrax; "I suppose no one remembered they're wedding anniversary? Colonel, may I recommend showing up in formal wear when we make contact with the Colonials for the simple fact showing up like this might send the wrong message."
Tom knew there was more to this bullshit crime free front after all the Nomads could easily bring a city crime free but the Cylons once had control elsewhere so maybe they were going after that. He couldn't prove it but there is one person who could and he was 12 hours ahead.

Surprised by Tom, he wondered how he remembered something like that but Michael was run by protocols and this was unusual. Noticing something at the beginning of the recording, he started a digital search through Alpheus medical supplies; "I imagine drugs are under tight control yet is he taking stims," noticing quite a bit of supplies just gone. Stims were borderline illegal and for the HDF they were illegal since they mess around with judgement and even more open the user to becoming dependent.
Letting his rifle hang, he closed the protective cover to his tactical pad as he noticed his team ready for everything. Kicking off the mute device, Johnathan turned to Tom as he spoke; "Kinda lost my formal wear after accepting this job and if they feel threatened by us than there is something frakkin wrong. So where are we going?"

Stims were hard to get a hold of for the simple fact that no one on Terra produced them under the Controlled Abusive Substance Act passed by the government yet those were stims. Looking over the small team, he noticed someone missing as he got up from his crouching position; "Where is Evanna Matthews? I thought she was part of your team," noticing them shaking they're heads. Crossing his arms, he now pondered on what happened exactly before hearing Tom mentioning the lack of uniforms which was understandable; "At least have your weapons on your pack. The Ghosts hurt our reputation but they were a necessary protocol at the time which we're replacing."

Speaking up, Victor thought the briefing was descent but they didn't know where the fleet was and even more needed something faster than a raptor to give chase; "Evanna was never military but a civilian who did her part. I'm sure, whether or not, she's the vigilante can find us if she wanted to leave Terra that'll be on her," knowing that they could both use her and need a spare person to even the team. Taking a deep breath, Victor did calculations on his tactical pad to calculate the speed for the raptor. There was a good chance that Jack Thrax and even the Lieutenant Colonel knew the location of the Independence ; "Sir, we need something faster than a raptor in order to meet the Colonel at his destination. I'm sure we have something or we could reach out to the Browncoat movement though we may have to be careful either way. Stims can either make him hostile or...yeah just hostile and he is armed."

Listening to Victor, he knew it would take time and reaching out to they're limited resources to find a ship faster than a raptor; sending the message to a friend to start looking. Turning to Johnathan, he dismissed the Specialists for they needed to return to patrol; "I'm having Mayday look into it but I hear your looking into reports of this vigilante? Suspicions? After all, we don't need someone to hinder our efforts and it seems this vigilante is only reported by your squad," he wondered if Johnathan knew more.

Walking down the street, his suppressed sniper rifle hung next to his pack as he held his assault rifle while Victor worked on clearing up a signal or something at this point; "I heard that Delta Team killed a few extremist who had some of our batteries so we should get those soon," turning the curb as he turned a distracted Victor the same direction. Since joining the team, they had killed rogue Cylons and even these extremists who have tried to kill them a few times. Improvised bombs even turning one of they're hover drones against them till a software fix to ensure that didn't happen again and now they don't have cores to run them. Spotting local police dealing with a hostage situation, he let Victor keep going till he switched rifles to shoot the gunman before catching up with Victor.
Chambering another round, he kept the brass shell casing till he could use it again but for him it was more about helping out. Flipping the safety on, he noticed Victor still working, adjusting his gloves as he moved Victor into a small watering hole to get a drink and some food; "What the frak are you doing, brother?"

Noticing the change of scenery from the crowded streets to the oak paneled bar with the dark lights which gave the environment a relaxing feel. Taking a seat, he finished amplifying a weak signal before running the signal through the navigation array; "One of the old SF satellites detected a faint signal on one of the old emergency channels from...Helios Prime. One word keeps repeating," entering his decryption program which was going to take time. Tucking the tactical pad into his pack, he turned to Samuel as he looked over the menu; "Are you going to buy this time?"

A signal from Helios Prime, where in the hell is that and why signal an old SF satellite, he knew that Victor would figured it out after all he was specialized in electronics where himself has become the team sniper. Clipping his rifle onto the other side of his pack, he could feel the weight tearing into his shoulders but he had conditioned himself to carry 175 pounds and right now it was around 130 pounds after all the Division did some things right. Looking over the menu, Samuel shook his head as he ordered a beer with a sub; "Haven't been paid since leaving the SFD but Beta Team typically picks up the bill."
Keeping his eye on the people in the bar, he placed his hand on his holster where his suppressed Colonial pistol sat; noticing whispering as he turned to Victor. He could tell that Victor was noticing the same thing, these people were too quiet and even eyeballing they're rifles. Extremists haven't striked a team in weeks and the warning signs was here; walking out of the bar and into the streets. They had rules and the rules were simple: Don't engage with the enemy unless they engage with you. Simple and breaking them wasn't a choice after all they weren't going to start the fight but they were going to end it.

Grasping his rifle, Johnathan knew those reports would come into question but he could only justify his reports; "We're looking into the vigilante but we believe that this vigilante had military training or at least some training. We're working around the clock to find this individual. Until we can get a ship to hunt down Colonel Thrax, an extra pair of eyes would be useful," looking over a message from Victor, "Corinth can spare us for a while."

Snickering, Tom crossed his arms as he spoke softly; "The Captain thinks the vigilante is Evanna Matthews cause he feels a connection to everyone. My memory has gone to shit but don't lie to November," he knew he could pull rank but this is better, "she was trained in the very basics but she would be a valuable addition and having a civilian would show we're not like the past militaries."
Noticing that the decryption program was close, he moved the incoming message to a non-networked computer to ensure that this wasn't a Cylon S.L.A.V.E virus after all they were more cautious than ever. They're defense grid was the most advance network ever built with Terran/Gondawan/Cylon technology integrated for an unmatched defense.

She was surprised that it only took a few months to rid the streets of the Cylon threat that had attacked the planet before. People could at the very least walk among the streets again. Well, those that chose to return to the ruins of the cities anyway. Most had lost their homes when the fighting began, and only those crazy enough to stay or the few that wanted to help had remained, apart from the pockets of Extremists that occasionally swept through the city. Evanna wasn't sure how she ended up on her own again. Maybe it was meant to be that way. She remembered hiding out in an abandoned cafe with Jonathan and the others when things went south with the fighting, but that was it. Somehow, she was left to fend for herself...again.
That didn't mean she could give up so easily. Old habits were hard to break, and in the months to come, old vigilante ways would start to show again. Evie cared little about what the groups of Extremists wanted. She'd been lucky enough to escape the few occasions when cornered, taking out one or two as she did each time. It was getting harder to carry on by herself and run from them too.
When she had gotten wind of a rumor that Jonathan and the others were still around and planning to leave the planet soon, it was obvious that she would track them down. Whether or not they welcomed her or shot her on sight, she had to see for her eyes that they were all still alive and on Terra. She'd kept herself hidden in the shadows well enough, even when she was mere feet outside of the perimeter where she had tracked the group. It wasn't until she felt the muzzle of a gun being pushed into the side of her head that Evanna cursed beneath her breath before smirking and laying her worn out sniper rifle down in the dirt, turning her head just slightly. "Whoa, take it easy. I came here to find Jonathan Harperson and his team, and I know damned well they're still here, she huffed, raising a brow. "So either shoot me or take me to them now."

The bar was bad luck but Samuel knew someone was following them as he had Victor walk ahead as he spotted an individual; knowing a captured extremist would be quite useful. Sneaking behind her, he tapped her with the muzzle; "Put the gun down and," noticing her right away as he lowered his rifle, "well shit, we've been looking for Ms. Matthews. I guess Johnathan was right about the vigilante thing," calling over Victor as he picked up her rifle, "text the Captain our coordinates and give me your spare rifle."
Looking over her weapon, it definitely needed to be cleaned but it was also outdated as he waited Victor to assemble the much more capable and upgraded M14 marksman rifle before he added a suppressor to it. Spotting the Lieutenant Colonel in the distance, he nestled his rifle as slipped his sunglasses back on to watch the civilians walking by.

Surprised, Johnathan rushed out of the meeting with the Colonel as he jogged to his Specialists; he felt bad about leaving her behind during the fighting it wasn't his style. Handing his rifle to Samuel, he instantly hugged her, months of hunting and his Specialists gave him the good news they needed after all they needed a bright side. Getting his rifle back, he waited for Tom and John to catch up as he loaded up a S.O.S message; "Received a message from the stolen raptor, they crash landed on Helios Prime so we're headed there first. Mayday has acquired a ship but we're going to gear up before leaving so extra mags, hazmat gear, radiation meds and Samuel pack some tranquilizer rounds," Jonathan wanted to keep up the original mission, "he's most likely detoxing so expect hostility and I'd rather have him on a flat board when we make it to the Independence rather than fight him on the deck."
Looking over the decoded message, one word HELP was disturbing enough, glancing at Evanna's attire; "I imagine you would want some new clothes. We really don't have uniforms anymore," looking over his men as they prepared for the walk to the airport.

At The Airport...
Walking through the hangers in his old green flight suit, he had all updated identification papers including an alias after all the HDF doesn't own any aircraft and word about Colonel Michael Thrax is staying close with the upper brass. Spotting a raptor that was white with a red strip on the wing which meant it wasn't the every day joy ride yet it was exactly what he was looking for. Using codes obtained by Jack Thrax, the door slid open to reveal the quite unique drive core which was due for major testing today. The drive core is one found in a crashed heavy raider that has been powered by six Gondawan micro-fuel cells which allows the raptor to jump further than Colonial counterparts. Opening a container, he pulled out the six needed by the drive with six on standby before plugging into a program written by the HDF to override the controls and giving them a friendly IFF. Dragging the weapon crates into the ship while the ground crews loaded the raptor with four fuel pods for it's trip as he strapped in with the computer starting the prefight checklist before he slowly started taking off with the test pilot rushing towards him. Tapping his radio, he left the airport as he finished strapping in; "I guess I'm coming to you."
