He knew he should have consulted Sam to start with it but he knew Ben wouldn't stay too long since the man was probably going to head up to the Archeron afterwards, watching her going for the shower as he headed towards the kitchen. Unpacking his pistols from his old hiding spots, he set it down onto the table before reaching into the fridge to pull out chicken as he started up the oven; he figured he would make baked chicken since it would be easier and even more keep smoke from forming. Grabbing a sack of potatoes, he began skinning them and cleaning before chopping them up and putting them in a pot and thus on the stove to boil while he prepared some bacon and began grinding up cheese. Reaching into the cabinet, he pulled out cans of green beans as he placed them in a skillet, tossing in an onion with the bacon. Letting it all cook up, he briskly walked over to his old record player which had been enhanced for better sound as he placed on some Bob Marley since he couldn't decide what to put on before walking back into the kitchen.
Adding his final touches to his dishes, he flipped on the fireplace before grabbing wine glasses, pulling out a bottle of his finer wines as he let it sit in an ice cooler before pulling the cork. Even though he knew it would be a rough night between him and Sam, he was going to try and lighten up the mood as he went around to uncover his pistols that he had stashed everywhere but didn't need them anymore. 50 different types of pistols from fully automated to 6 shooters with everything from 9mm to .50 caliber bullet types and they all were armed; all meant for a period which he has left completely in the past. Preparing the table, he set the wine glasses down as well as the plates as he remotely changed the color of the table to reflect the hardwood appearance with gold trim to make his guest feel more like home; glancing over his watch as he kept his eye on the time for the chicken since all the spices and cooking time was based on an old recipe his old man taught him. Walking over to the bathroom door, he knocked on it before noticing it was locked; "That box that was back on the Atlantia, it was an outfit to replace the one that we shredded and once Little leaves then we can have some face time," he wasn't sure on how to finish the sentence considering his mind had shifted on how she would look in it but had to pull the words together.

Sam just wanted to feel clean. She'd felt dirty, having been stuck in that sickbay bed for what seemed like weeks. Leaning against the wall and letting the water fall over her, she listened after hearing a knock on the door. Did he really think it was going to get on her good side after waiting so long to tell her all of that before. Sam balled her fist up and connected it with the wall, gritting her teeth. She didn't want to be pissed off all the time, but that's how she was constantly feeling anymore. Maybe she was being too harsh on Michael, but with so much on her mind, the woman felt like she was about to explode. Shaking her head, Sam looked down to see what was likely turning into a scar on her chest. She ran her fingers over it, cringing. It made her feel angry, sad, and she wanted nothing more than to put a bullet between that Eight's eyes. Sam wanted to know what she'd done to deserve it, and it would be a constant frakking reminder. Flipping the water off, she stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel to wrap around her body. She picked up her bag and opened the door, seeing Michael still standing there. Lightly nudging around him, she walked into the bedroom and sat the bag down on the bed. "Maybe you should give it to Ben to wear," she said, slightly smirking but not turning to look at the man while she shuffled around for something to wear. "When should we be expecting him anyway?" She let the towel fall to the floor, slipping on her undergarments, and followed up with a pair of jeans and a white, ruffly shirt and black overcoat.

A bit speechless as he spotted her dropping the towel to get dressed, he pulled himself back together as he looked over his watch; "He should be here by now unless he's like a really slow driver or somehow got lost," pausing as he walked over to the bed to sit down, "if he's truly lost then never and I cooked us a great dinner," lying down as felt like sleeping right there no matter on who may be coming over. It had been nearly forever since he had been back in this bed as he grabbed her hand to pull her down onto the bed, "I can't tell you how sorry I am and I will find anyway of getting to the Atlantia even if I have to pull off a small vacation onto the Battlestar," he was serious since he wouldn't be able to last too long without her. About to reach for a pillow to prop up his head, he remembered that he couldn't lie here forever as he sat back up looking at her; "Gods, your so damn beautiful," kissing her before getting up.
He walked back into the kitchen to pull out a pair of beers before walking back in to give her one, taking a seat in the chair facing the bed as he popped the top on the beer; "If it helps, the second bathroom has a hot tub, had it installed with my last few pay checks," taking a sip of his beer before setting it down on the table, "not even sure if the outfit would fit Ben since it took me a while to figure out your size," grinning knowing she was being a smartass, "and it would be a scary image."

Accepting the beer, Sam set it down on the nightstand as she reached down to pick up her towel from the floor. She rubbed it gently across her hair, drying it the best way she could so that it fell down her back in long, dark waves. She kept her eyes focused on Michael ... eyes that used to be the lightest shade of hazel, but now seemed darker. Walking back to the bathroom, she tossed the towel in the hamper before walking back into the bedroom and grabbing the beer from the table. She leaned against the wall, taking a long swig from the bottle. "Maybe you should wear it then. I bet you'd look good in it," she said, raising an eyebrow as she took another drink.
Setting the bottle back down on the table, Sam took a seat on the edge of the bed and reached for her bag, grabbing the pair of black heels she had packed. She slipped them on, not feeling like wearing her boots. "Besides, I can't promise that I will behave myself when he gets here. At least not until I hear the whole story about this shit that's going on." She crossed her legs and reached for her beer, still not sold on the whole government reformation crap. It didn't feel right to her, and she told herself she wasn't going to go ballistic when Ben arrived.

"As far as I know," taking a sip of his beer as he pulled over an ottoman with his feet before propping his feet up, "Ben has no idea what Doral did so he appointed himself President and right away ordered the reassembly of the Colonial Government. From what I was told, we were still looking for 3 Councillors which meant by law, we had no Government and this Colonial one was now default," setting his beer aside but still held onto it, "The General is used to bullying around the Government, no one really asked questions on what we were doing only how much would it cost so with the power the General had; he created an office. Basically a consultant who will advise the President on SF activities and will provide 2 way communication," taking a sip as he got up before he started over to the window. Activating a panel after he noticed the window fogging up a bit, he equalized out the heat so the window would remain clear, that was one feature he loved since most of the apartment was filled with Gondawan tech and outside this little town that feature is unknown.
Turning to her as he leaned up against the railing that ran along the glass for added protection, "If you think so but I don't think it would match after all its not my style," smirking while crossing his legs, "Ben still doesn't have a Vice President which I might be helping with but SF's hate leaving a guy who has no VP that appears to be a dictator or monarch in charge since both have been short lived and bloody given Terran history."

Sam's eyebrows rose as she looked at Michael, wondering if he was trying to justify what Little had done. "I know what it's like to be pushed into a position. But the fact is, it pisses people off. Maybe he should have called for another election or something, instead of appointing himself." She shrugged, what did she know anyway. Perhaps they would find out more when he showed up ... if he ever decided to show up at all.
Setting her bottle down on the table, Sam stood up and crossed her arms. She was never a fan of the higher ups in the military trying to bully their way around, or think they even deserved respect. "All I can say is that if this General shows up here, I'll have no problem giving him a kick in the ass." Picking up her bottle, she walked out into the kitchen to dispose of it. Sam took a seat near the bar and stared out of the window, watching the delicate streaks of lightening that shot across the darkening sky.

Getting up, he finished off his beer as he started towards the kitchen; "No more politics, please, I would hate for him to walk in and hear me saying why he shouldn't be in office," disposing of his beer as he checked over the chicken. Pulling it out, he placed it all on a dish to stop the cooking process before hiding the pan back in the oven. Turning to Sam, he put his arms around her before whispering to her; "My old man had a story about the rain, every time it poured like this he said it was the tears of the gods who were tired of Terrans throwing their lives away," nibbling her ear a bit, "I would probably help or watch you kick his old ass around just break too much stuff," smirking as he held onto her.

Sighing heavily, Sam rested her hands on top of Michael's. "My old man used to tell me a lot of stories. He would say that Hermes himself came to Tauron and caused the dust clouds during the hottest summers." Shrugging, she chuckled at the thought. She knew he dad loved telling her those stories, hell, she was a young kid and would practically believe anything at the time. "Sometimes I wish I could go back and stop some things from happening ... stop people from dying." She held her breath for a moment, finally letting it out and clearing her throat.
She looked over at the clock on the wall, wondering how long it would actually take Ben to get there. Sam had stayed tired for the last few days, and with everything that was going on, she just wanted to curl up on the bed and listen to the rain. This wouldn't last long, and she would be back on the ship in days. Alone. She didn't like the idea of that. "I don't like the idea of you having to follow Ben around. He'll be keeping you all to himself," she said, turning her head around to look at him with a raised brow.

He was about to say something till he noticed a text from Ben before turning back to her, "He won't be coming apparently the rain washed out the road and no pilot is going to fly through this," kissing her neck as his hands wrapped up in hers, "it won't happen and Ben is going to find out that I can persuade him better than his Colonial advisers," moving around to the front of her as he extended his hand. He knew she was tired and sleeping in the med bay wasn't really comfortable, kneeling down as he peered into her hazel eyes; "want to have dinner before going to bed and when I say bed I mean bed cause gods know I doubt anyone can really sleep or do anything else in the med bay," smirking as he kissed her once more.
Getting up, he picked up the chilled bottle of wine as he popped the cork before pouring a glass to notice a sparkle which meant it was 100% real Gondawan wine which was worth the massive price tag. Turning to her, he took a sip as he picked up the plate before taking it over to the table; remotely dimming the other lights to make the dining room lights more prominent.

"You've got to be frakkin' kidding me," she growled, hoping down from the stool. Sam had hoped to just get it out of the way and be done with it. Instead, they would have to wait for the man to show up another day, and that was really bumming her out. Unhappy about how the evening had turned out, she walked over and took a seat at the table as Michael popped the cork on the wine bottle. She crossed her legs and leaned back in her chair, watching him. "Sleep sounds great, actually. I can't promise I will share the bed though." She chuckled, only joking with him.
"So what's the plan for tomorrow then? I don't know about you, but I'm not waiting around for someone to show up." She didn't have much time for R&R, and was doubtful she would get it again any time soon. It was bad enough that he would be staying down here. Sam planned on at least having a bit of fun before it was all taken away.

Pouring another glass for Sam, he walked on over before making their plates before taking a seat; "He knows my number if he shows up," taking a sip of his wine, "we could go to the beach or go back to the club. He rebuilt it and I have an endless tab on it for old times sake," cutting up his chicken before taking a bit. The chicken was much the same it was when his old man made it back in the day, with all the spices right on, everything else seemed to go together including the wine. Glancing over at the bed, he knew she was joking as he whispered to her; "I know every time we've tried to sleep it becomes something more," smirking for it was a constant between them.
Suddenly a lightening flash erupted outside as the power went offline including the glass display as it went back to default, auto tinting the glass, surprised considered power rarely goes out. Flipping on his light on his tactical pad, he set it down in the middle of the table as the rain continued to hit the glass; "I'm sure power will be back on in the morning but one of the back up systems will keep it cool in this apartment."

Sam's lips curled up into a smile, knowing if they went to the beach she had just the thing to torment him. Holding in a giggle, she picked up the glass of wine and took a sip. She was about to say something when the power went out. It didn't bother her at all, in fact, she kind of enjoyed it. "Looks like it's just you and me, stuck alone in the dark," she said with a smirk before taking a bit of her food. "Are you sure going back to that club is a good idea? I doubt they'll be happy to see me, even if JJ isn't here this time." She missed the woman, her partner in crime. Frost was a hell of a fighter, which had surprised Sam that day. She was sad that she didn't see her around much anymore.
Taking another sip of her wine, she looked at Michael with an odd expression. "And the only reason we never got any sleep is because you don't know how to keep your hands to yourself." There was a few moments of silence before she began to laugh, holding a hand over her chest at the smallest feeling of pain. But she enjoyed poking fun at him.

Placing his hand on her leg as he finished up his meal and now only sipping his wine, "Last I checked, you enjoyed having my hands on you," slowly sliding up her leg to torment her a bit, "and may I remind you I think the trouble started after I shot someone and he's forgiven me for that since that someone was going to kill the owner," sipping down his wine before refilling his glass. The flashes of lightening cut through the darkness and he could tell she was enjoying herself as he slowly got up and removed his hand, setting the near empty bottle on the bar top as he placed his dishes in the sink for him to do later on. Kicking off his shoes, he noticed the fireplace was still on as he amped up the flame a bit before whispering into her ear; "Last I checked it was more than my hands that prevented us from getting some sleep."
Tossing his shirt aside, he took a seat on the bar, drinking from his wine glass; he knew she was having some fun and gods know if they went to the beach he would have to restrict part of it considering just seeing her in a bikini would kick him over the edge in a good way. He had struck it rich when he met her and he was never going to let go of that since no matter how far they would be apart he would always stay close.

Not letting him the best of her, Sam stood and picked up her plate along with the glass of wine. She placed the plate in the sink to be washed and finished drinking the wine, only to pour a little more back in the glass. She was slightly surprised when the power flickered back on. Looking over her shoulder at Michael, she set the glass down on the bar counter and pulled her hair up out of her face before running some water in the sink so she could wash the dishes. "I don't remember the last time I actually got a good night of sleep without being worried about something," she said gliding her hand over a plate to rinse it off. She cursed when bubbles and suds went flying everywhere.
She'd just finished washing the last of the plates when the power went off again. "Damn, I guess we really are stuck in the dark all night," she said, grabbing a hand towel to dry her hands. Picking up her glass, she took a sip before walking over to where Michael sat near the bar. "I'm going to go get some sleep, I'm worn out." Sam walked in the direction of the bedroom, stopping at the door. "Coming?"

"I thought you had no problem with the lights off," he followed her as he flipped off the fireplace since it couldn't reach into the bedroom, walking in as he noticed her stripping down before getting into bed. Tossing his pants aside, he slipped under the thick comforter and sheets before rolling over to glance at her; "A whole lot bigger than the bunk and much more comfortable," he wasn't sure if she was really serious about sleep since every time they seem to work themselves into sleep, very slowly. Running his hand across her body before kissing her, "Actually like the dark," kissing her once more as he glanced into her hazel eyes.
Lightening seemed to clash every few minutes but it was beautiful since it was showing off the white, blue and sometimes purple bolts with the rain beating up against the glass; which was magnifying the lighting to flashes of light.
