Message from the Commander, Fleet Shipyard Terra
Attention all Colonial vessels. Commencing immediately, those vessels assigned to the upcoming mission to the 12 Colonies will begin their transit to the Fleet Supply Station and will begin taking up station at the anchorage there.
All ships shall conduct their final preparations for the mission at that time. Ships will begin jumping to the first coordinates approximately 6 hours after all vessels have arrived at the Fleet Supply Station.
All Colonial vessels are urged to show caution while transiting the area as there will be many vessels present and shuttle/raptor traffic will be heavy. There will be a constant CAP flown while the Fleet is in transit and at anchorage.
Additional updates will follow from Fleet Comm Center.
End Message

Attention all Colonial Units. Cylon attack on Fleet located at Supply Station. Set CONDITION ONE throughout the Fleet.
The following vessels have been destroyed or damaged:
An unidentified Cylon Heavy Raider has launched several nuclear armed missiles towards the Fleet that is in anchorage, awaiting launching the rescue mission to the Colonies.
The Battlecruisers Archer and Magellan were each hit by one missile a piece, causing moderate damage to their Port Pods.
The Gunstars Cadmus and Ceres both were hit by one missile a piece, however the missiles had struck in the stern, directly into the Engineering sections. Both ships exploded into a thousand little pieces.
Pieces from both ships managed to strike the BSS-966 (Fleet Support Ship) Naru, destroying the ship as well.
The remaining missiles struck in the middle of the civilian ships, which had taken up station closer to the Supply Station. Fortunately, only a few of those ships were damaged, the defensive guns of the station having hit the incoming missiles.
The following civilian ships were present. Those designated as so were slightly to moderately damaged:
Delilah-Passenger ship. 28 crew, carries 200 passengers. Registered to Pan-Terran Tours (slight damage to starboard side of ship from shrapnel)
Hector-Passenger ship. 37 crew, carries 180 passengers, small cargo bay. Registered to Colonial Passenger Lines, Inc.
Pericles-Cargo ship. 102 crew. Carries medium cargo, dry bulk goods. Registered to Colonial Transport Services. (moderate damage to cargo bay)
Aphrodite-Luxury passenger Liner. 67 crew, carries 225 passengers. Registered to Cherry Excursions. (slight damage to shuttle landing bay)
Demeter-Agriculture cargo transport ship. 164 crew, carries livestock and containerized cereal grain products (oats, barley, wheat, corn). Registered to Agri-Transporters.
Jeremiah-Cargo ship. 85 crew, carries bulk manufactured goods (steel, processed lumber, etc;) Registered to Colonial Transport Services.
Pan-Colonial 612-Passenger Liner. 103 crew, carries 250 passengers. Registered to Cherry Excursions.
Erin-Maintenance/Repair ship. 89 crew. Capable of servicing all civilian ships for all repair needs. Registered to The Gaffo Corp. (moderate damage to landing/cargo bay)
Australias-Roll-on/Roll-off container ship. 76 crew, transports containers. Registered to Bullethead Transport.
Nirvana-Luxury Excursion/Passenger Liner. 218 crew, carries 450 passengers. Registered to Cherry Excursions.

As Commander Fran LandisAs Commander Landis sat there at her desk, looking at the various reports of the Cylon attack, she grabbed a piece of paper sitting near the edge of her desk. Looking at it, she saw the document was dated three days ago. "What the heck?" Looking around the room, she asked a Yeoman walking by who placed it on her desk. "Yeoman, who placed this on my desk and where has it been for the past three day?" The young Yeoman stopped, not sure what to say. "Commander, that just came in from the Bureau of Personnel. I, um, think some Specialist from there dropped it off earlier." Commander Landis looked at the Yeoman, then the document. "Do you have any idea what this document is? It's an order of promotion." "Yeoman, get this over to the Bureau of Fleet Personnel immediately!" The Yeoman grabbed the document and rushed out the door and down the corridor.

Ben follows the young marine out of the Fleet Admirals office. Walking down the hall he notices that mote marines have joint Sam. He wasn't used to having so many guards around him. Though he was the VP now and he needed to be protected from people that still don't like the fact that he is a Cylon and the Vice President. Exiting the building he spots the Raptor that'll be taking him to the Acheron. Finally reaching it he enters with about half of the marines that we're escorting g him out. Seating in the back he straps himself in and the hatch closes as the pilot lifts off.

Having arrived back at Fleet HQ from his "mission" to the Gondawan region, J is checking to make certain his uniform is in order. It's not every day that he is called before the Fleet Admiral. He knew she was pissed at him for leaving without authorization. He also knew the position he had placed the Fleet and the fledgling Colonial/Terran alliance, thrusting both governments into what amounted to a personal vendetta.
Never mind that J had been correct about the missing crew and passengers of the CMS Gondawa crash years prior. J was prepared to accept his punishment but was fairly confident it would amount to no more than a slap on the wrist. After all, he was responsible for the rescue of several hundred Colonial citizens from the Gondawans.
Stepping into the foyer, J approached the young Fleet Specialist sitting at the Reception Desk.
"Good morning Specialist. I'm General Castorious and am reporting in to the Fleet Admiral."
The young woman sat there, expressionless. Looking up at J, she responded in a soft voice.
"Yes, Fleet Admiral Middleton is away from her office but is expecting you General. Please, sit over there and I'll let her assistant know you are here."
J wasn't used to having to wait but there wasn't anything he could do, other than sit and read the current edition of the Terran Examiner.

As Commander Yusef Kalid, Bureau of Fleet Personnel
Coming into the reception area, Commander Kalid saw that General Castorious was sitting there, looking rather bored. Walking up to the man, he extended his right hand.
"General Castorious, I'm Commander Kalid of the Bureau of Fleet Personnel. I am sorry that you have been waiting for Admiral Middleton. I suppose nobody has informed you that she had an urgent meeting elsewhere and wouldn't be available to meet with you."
Taking a seat next to the man, Yusef looked around the reception area before continuing.
"This is rather embarrassing General. This is not how the Admiral wished this to take place."
Sensing the man was confused, Yusef pulled out an envelope and handed it to the man.
"My apologies Sir. Admiral Middleton asked that this be given to you. I'm sorry."
With that, Yusef stood up, saluted the man and then walked away, leaving him there to read the contents of the envelope.

From the desk of the Fleet Admiral To: Brigadier General J Castorious, CMC Subject: Disciplinary Action General Castorious, Effective immediately, you are hereby reduced from your current rank of Brigadier General, Colonial Marine Corps and reverted back to your previous rank of Major, Colonial Marine Corps-Retired. You are also hereby placed back into a retired status, effectively immediately. The reason for this action is simple. Your blatant disregard of orders and your actions in the Gondawan Region of this planet. Not only did you abandon your position as Commander, Colonial Marine Forces Terra but you placed yourself in the position of being arrested and detained by Gondawan authorities for having trespassed into the Restricted Zone of Gondawa. Although your actions were precipitated by the fact that your wife and those accompanying her were shot down by Terran rebel forces while transiting over Gondawa, your presence there created a diplomatic nightmare and thus threatened the very fragile relationship that the Colonial Fleet and Government have with not only the Gondawans but the Terrans as well. Even though the final results of your action were the safe return of Colonial military personnel and civilians from the CMS Gondawa, which had crashed on Terra a year prior to our return to this planet, the fact that you ignored repeated orders to return cannot be ignored. An officer of your rank and caliber MUST set the example. If not, then we no longer have discipline or order within the Fleet. It is for this reason alone that this action must be taken against you. A copy of this letter shall be placed in your official Fleet record. As a final note, I wish to personally thank you for your service to the Colonial Fleet and its citizens, both as an officer in the Colonial Marine Corps but also as a former member of the Colonial government. Respectfully, Deana Middleton Fleet Admiral Colonial Fleet-Terra

J sat there, reading the words on the paper. It all seemed surreal, as if her were floating above the room looking down on everyone and everything. At first, J was stunned. Soon however, anger took a hold of him, but only for a second. J thought about the situation. The Fleet Admiral was correct. He had disobeyed orders and left his office without telling anyone exactly where he was heading.
Of course, J could have cared less about the "diplomatic situation". Having played the part of the politician not once, but twice before, J had no patience for deal making and ass-kissing. Still, the immediate fact that he was now no longer on active duty presented a bit of a dilemma for J.
What the frak was he to do now? Better yet, how was he to explain this to his wife and children, and more importantly, to his father-in-law?
For now, J was eager to rush home and to be with Elea and the twins. Getting up from the sofa in the reception area, J straightened his uniform blouse and walked towards the stairs leading to the main floor. From there, J walked outside the building and looked around. Waiting for him was his personal driver and security personnel. Walking to the waiting vehicle, J returned the salutes of the Marines standing there.
"At ease Marines. I'm sure you all know I am not longer on active duty and have been removed from my position as Marine Commander, so it looks as if you no longer have to deal with me."
The Sergeant stepped forward.
"Sir, you will ALWAYS be our Commander. Besides, Colonel Yolander has permanently detailed us to you Sir. So, it seems as if YOU Sir are still stuck with us."
J couldn't help but smile. Stepping into the vehicle, J looked at the Sergeant.
"Well then Sergeant, get me home as fast as you can. I have a lot of catching up to do with my family and to figure out what I'm going to do with all this free time I now have."

Mitch pulls up outside the Colonial headquarters and I get out holdin' a nice bouquet a roses and we head inside the buildin'. I see what looks to be the receptionist an head her way with a charmin' smile on my face. I lean over her desk and set the flowers on the top of the counter as I look over at her real friendly like. "HelloSweet Thing, I'm wonderin' if y'all could get these flowers and a note to a Lieutenant JJ Frost. I hear she's on the battlestar called Atlantia and I'd really like to get 'em to her"

I'm busy typing up some orders when a couple of guys walk in, Civvies from the look of it. One of them sets some flowers on my counter and asks me to send them to Lt. Frost on the BS-53 Atlantia. I look at him and he seems friendly enough.
"I can do that for you. Here, write your message on this pad and I'll get it all sent for you on the next shuttle out" I turn and look at the time "which will be in about an hour" I smile as I slide the pad and pen over the counter toward him and wonder what Lt. Frost is to this guy.
