The place looks a bit deserted but I enter anyway and hope I am in the right place.
I walk in and look around for the person in charge. Once I locate him I walk up to him and salute him.
"Rose, reporting for duty, Sir!" standing at attention until he acknowledges me and tells me "at ease"
"I am looking for placement on one of the ships, Sir. I have flown a Viper and an XF-4 for the Cerberus, Sir" I tell him honestly I nod toward the stars and smile.
"I was recently wounded in battle against a Cylon Basestar but have fully recovered and am anxious to get back up there"
The man shows me a list of available Ships and I see one that interests me right away .......... the Sovereign.
"Sir, are there any available spots for a pilot on the BS-82 Sovereign? I think I can be of some help unless they have a full crew already?" I ask hopefully

I follow my ShipMate Rose into the office and wait til she is finished. I take a seat and begin to look at the latest issue of Pilots Monthly looking over the latest technology to hit the Fleet. I smile as I am anxious to give some of these new ideas some hands on experience.
Crossing my legs and relaxing I wait patiently.

*I look at the 2 new arrivals and smile*
"Well, you came at a good time-we're under attack, so grab your gear and report to the Soveriegn as soon as you can. I suggest heading to the airfield here at the Base and hopping on a raptor that is heading that way. Oh and welcome aboard!"
*The sounds of explosions all around the base can be heard, as can the sounds of the air defenses.*

"Thank you Major. My gear is right outside and I'll head out and find a ride to the Sovereign." I salute the Major and after he recognizes my respect I turn and head to get my gear then hope I can find a Raptor with an extra seat headed for the Sovereign.

Immediately dropping the magazine onto the table I stand at attention as the Major addresses us both. I smile when I hear they may have a place for me on the Sovereign.
"Thank you Sir."
I pick up my gear and walk to the Air field with Rose as we find out Raptor 746 is nearly ready to leave for the Sovereign. We both hop in and strap down as the Pilot lifts off and heads out.
We can see explosions in the distance and I feel my trigger finger getting itchy as we near the Sovereign.
The familiarity of the Raptor is comforting and I rest my head back against the side as we make the voyage to our destination. Hopefully the Squad room will be fairly adequate. I make sure my gear is near my leg then shut my eyes as we fly.

*Having seen to it that my family is safe, I return to the office and am informed that the CYlons have broken off the attack and that the Fleet has re-grouped, having suffered modearate casualties and damage. I begin to assess the damage to the Marine stations planetwide and on the ships.*
"Get me the casualty counts for the ships Marine Detachments and on the ground. Also, contact the Marine Commander for the Mars Colony and inquire about their status."

As Commander Will Macon, Bureau of Fleet Personnel
As Commander Macon looks over the stack of paper on his desk, he comes across the orders for Dr Dean to report to the Atlantia.
"Well, they need another Doctor. Let me send them a message announcing his assignment."

D walked into the office and the first thing was a young LT was headed out and gave D a salute, "Sir" "Carry on" D returned the salute, this is going to have to get some getting used to. D stopped at the front desk a little girl (Corporal) asked "My I help you Sir?" "Yes I am to report for duty" "Sir please have a seat, the Colonel will see you soon" " Thanks Corporal" D went and set down. About an hour later "Major, the Colonel will see you" She held the door open for him. "Thanks" once more" D walked up to the desk snapped too, saluted "Sir" The Colonial returned the salute sloppily and without getting up. "Set down Major" D handed over his file for him to look at. The COL. looked at D and back at the records "Your a Doc. Right?" "Yes Sir.""Your Qualified High Altitude Jump?""Yes Sir.""You Qualified Spotter and Marine Sniper?""Yes Sir.""Well....Okay" he said with a little head weave and bob "I don't have a ship going to the Atlantia for about 2 weeks maybe longer" D started thanking he might get some more time with Angela. "So you will have some time to Re-Qualify your Jump and Rifle/Pistol and you will need to go to SARS so you can be a Field Doctor" D was confused but once more this was the military and most things in it did not make much since. "MAJ Stockwell you will report for Jump Qualifications tomorrow at 0500hrs. once you have completed all jumps you will report to the Range the next day for Spotter / Sniper Qualifications and all up to-date weapons. After that you will Report to SAR Update training the day after. After that report to the ship yard for a ride. Do you have any questions?" D did not wish to get his first dressing down so he Stood up to attention and stated "NO, SIR." The COL. handed back his file. D saluted the COL. did an about face and headed back out the door. He walked up to the Corporal "Miss do you know wear an officer would go to get a room for the next 2 weeks?" "Yes sir. report to the BOQ (Bachelor Officer's Quarters) two blocks down and one block to the right sir." "Thanks" "Sir." The Corporal called him back "Officers don't say thanks, they might say Thank you but never thanks to an enlisted person. Just so you know" "Thank You Corporal" D walked to the BOQ and checked it.

Attention all Colonial Units. Cylon attack on Fleet located at Supply Station. Set CONDITION ONE throughout the Fleet.
The following vessels have been destroyed or damaged:
An unidentified Cylon Heavy Raider has launched several nuclear armed missiles towards the Fleet that is in anchorage, awaiting launching the rescue mission to the Colonies.
The Battlecruisers Archer and Magellan were each hit by one missile a piece, causing moderate damage to their Port Pods.
The Gunstars Cadmus and Ceres both were hit by one missile a piece, however the missiles had struck in the stern, directly into the Engineering sections. Both ships exploded into a thousand little pieces.
Pieces from both ships managed to strike the BSS-966 (Fleet Support Ship) Naru, destroying the ship as well.
The remaining missiles struck in the middle of the civilian ships, which had taken up station closer to the Supply Station. Fortunately, only a few of those ships were damaged, the defensive guns of the station having hit the incoming missiles.
The following civilian ships were present. Those designated as so were slightly to moderately damaged:
Delilah-Passenger ship. 28 crew, carries 200 passengers. Registered to Pan-Terran Tours (slight damage to starboard side of ship from shrapnel)
Hector-Passenger ship. 37 crew, carries 180 passengers, small cargo bay. Registered to Colonial Passenger Lines, Inc.
