Peeking his head around the corner and into the room, J looks around and sees Elea there in the bed, asking for chocolates, as usual. All this time, he still could not figure out the attraction to chocolate. Himself, J was fond of bakery goods, but not necessarily cakes. Breads, rolls and such, that was his weakness. Trying to come in looking all sheepishly, J walks up to the edge of the bed.
"So, how are you feeling my dear?"

"J!" Elea sat up in bed and fussed with her hair. "I didn't know you were here. Why didn't someone tell me?"
The staff looked at each other with tense faces as though to say "Whose job was that?".
Elea threw her arms around her husband. The tears began immediately and one of the staff turned to get an injection.
"She's relapsing, Sir we're going to have to ask you to ..."
Elea just glared at him then threw him a haughty look of derision.
"I'm just happy to see my husband. You can relax, Andy. I'm fine."

Taking hold of Elea, J holds her as tight as he can. It had been far too long since they last held one another and he was going to make this moment last as long as possible. Hearing the Staff though caused J to turn towards the advancing medical personnel.
"Whoa! Put those needles away. She's fine, did you not hear her? Geesh, all you folks want to do is inject someone. Well, go find another pin cushion somewhere else, okay? I would like some time alone with my wife if you don't mind."
Kissing her gently and brushing her hair away from her beautiful face, all J could do was look at her, as if it had been years since he last saw her, which it had. Looking back at the Staff, J started to become somewhat irritated.
"Are you all still here? Do you require some assistance in leaving this room? MARINES! Get in here, NOW!"
At that moment, 3 Marines came into the room, weapons slung low but ready.
"Corporal, would you be so kind as to escort these medical personnel out of this room?"
"With pleasure Sir. Ladies and gents, this way please."
"Forgive us Sir, we thought she was having a relapse. We weren't aware that you were in the building, otherwise we would have let her know."
"That's fine. And I, by my very nature, am secretive as to where I go. Had I wanted it to be public knowledge that I was here, there would have been an announcement made. You'll have to excuse me, it's been some time since we've last seen one another and I just want to spend time with my wife. Forgive my outburst. You're probably ready to give me an injection, I'm sure."
Turning back to Elea, J could only manage to say one thing to her before he broke down in tears.
"Gods, I have have so missed you my love. I should have followed you right after you left the Fleet. Please, please, can you forgive me?"
With that, J sank to his knees, still holding onto Elea, crying both tears of joy and regret. The Marines ushered the Staff out of the room, closing the door behind them, giving the two the privacy they so richly needed and deserved.

Elea smiled brightly then sighed.
"Am I about to get another proposal of marriage? Or better yet, a celebration of one?"
She looked at her husband with immeasurable feelings of joy and relief.
"I love you too, J. I missed you terribly but then something went very wrong. I don't know but I do have something to very important to tell you about the Cylons. Something the Terrans helped me to understand. I ... I just can't remember what it was."

"I met some Terrans who don't blame us for the attacks. I think they understand that it would have come one day, with or without our arrival.
They wish to join together to prepare to fight them, but there are groups that want us to leave. It's all so confusing ... something is still evading my memory but it is very important."

Realizing that he was on his knees, or one of them at least, J laughed. Looking up at Elea, J playfully responded.
"Well, I would marry you all over again, if you will have me. And from the looks of it, I think that's a safe bet my dear."
Thinking of his impending meeting with the Terran representative, J knew of the groups out there that wished the Colonials would leave.
"Yeah, I know. I'm to meet with the Terran representative although for the life of me, I can't understand why it's ME she wishes to meet with. Of course, ever since the last Cylon attack several months ago, the Governor has been missing, mentally that is, so in effect, we have no working Colonial government. Of course, that's a sticking point with the Terrans. It is their planet after all, and they feel they should be in charge but they have no real means of defending this planet so it's as if we've been regulated to Police Duty or something, a tool to be used."
J also thought about the rumors he had heard regarding the Cylons, that there was another schism amongst them. That could either be a good thing or a very bad thing.
"The Cylons, now there's a riddle wrapped in an enigma. Some want peace, others want war, still others want to get as far from us as possible. I just never know what to make of it."
J got up from his knees and stood in front of Elea, looking at her beauty. It had been far too long. Soon the house would be completed and he could bring her home. One thing he wanted to know from this Terran representative was what exactly had the Terrans done to the crew and passengers of the Gondawa when it returned to Terra. Something was not right with any of them and he wanted answers. For now, Elea was his mission, as it always had been.
"So, any idea when I can spring you from this prison?"

" Oh, J." Elea hugged him again. "I would marry you all over again ..." she paused for a moment then smiled deviantly. "If for nothing else but to see you battle up the mountain to ask my father for my hand again."
She winked then pinched him in her favorite spot, knowing he was ticklish there. "Out of here ... hmmm. I feel much better, now, finally. I'd like to leave too." She pushed the call light for the nurses when suddenly a vision began to form in her mind of an airline hangar, and the ship named Gondawa hidden inside.

"My dear, I would climb the highest peak on this planet or any other for that matter if it meant being with you."
J recalled the event as if it had happened just yesterday. He stood there smiling, his chest puffed out just a little. Yes, he was THE man that day, dirty and very smelly by days end, but still the man. J watched as a nurse walked into the room.
"So, how are we feeling today Ms. Elea?" Turning to look at J, the nurse smiled then spoke to him.
"Sir, if you would be so kind as to wait out in the hall while I take care of the patient?"
"Uh, trust me there nurse, I've seen more of her than you have, in the matrimonial sense. If it's all the same, I'll stay put. And I'll have no arguing from you, okay?"
"Sir, it's policy, and before you tell me who you are, I already know, so out you go!"
The nurse, one of those bulky Pyramid-player types from Scorpia, softly pushed on J's chest to back him towards the door, but with enough force to make her point. J decided this time around he would comply.
"Okay there Nurse Bodycast, I get the point. Hon, I'll be right outside if you need me, along with those two Marines with me."

And with that, Elea received her last medication, a medical debriefing as it were and was discharged into her husbands gentle hands. Much more desirable than that nurse, for certain.
"Honey, let's go. I'm starving and ready to leave this place with a passion."

Taking Elea's hand, J headed towards the elevator, Marines in tow. Turning to them, J spoke to the Sergeant.
"I can take it from here boys. We'll be fine, besides, there are still twenty or so other Marines out there in plain-clothes trailing us. You two head back to the office, we're going to grab a bite to eat at the Viper Bistro."
"Aye aye Sir. Viper Bistro."
J and Elea entered the elevator and headed on their way to the Viper Bistro.

Walking through the clinic with his white medical coat while he wore a dark button up shirt and a white t-shirt under that but he was getting tired of the usual terrian that walked in with a small problem. Handing his clipboard over to the nurses of his last patient that had slipped on a bar of soap and fell out of a window into his garden that was on the other side. Taking a deep breath, he pulled off his name tag as he handed it over to them; "Officially resigning and don't worry about my office already had it cleaned out a week ago after having to pull a hose out of that last guys ass." Walking out, he set the white coat aside as he picked up his small walking cane along with his hat; slipping on his overcoat before starting out into the rain to his car.

Smiling a wide grin, Phineas waited for the comm link to come to life. Seconds later, he could hear the sound of dead airwaves, then a sfot voice informing him he was ready to go. Sitting at his desk, which was covered with dust and debris, Phineas began speaking.
"My fellow citizens, this is President Doral. I am happy to announce that I have returned to my office and am currently preparing to oversee the defense of the planet and the impending assault on the invading Cylons. I know many of you have wondered where I have been and I apologize for leaving. My departure from the government center here in the capital was necessary, so as to lure the cylons into believing we were on the run. That is not and was not the case. We are very much here, Terran and Colonial, soldier and citizen. Together, we will wipe the cylons clear from this planet, our home. Tragedy has once again been brought to not only us but to our Terran brothers and sisters. Most of our civilian ships and quite a few of our military ships have taken the necessary precautions and have jumped away. Soon, they will return to us. I ask that anyone who hears this message and is near the city of Sparta to go there now and assist in the recovery efforts. Many have died there and many more are wounded. For now, please know that our gallant military is not only fighting the cylons but beating them back. We will win this fight and we will win it as one. May the gods shine their blessings down upon us, So Say We All!"

Josephine had been lucky. She had gotten out of the Council Chambers alive and had made ehr way to the only standing hospital in the city. Well, not exactly a full fledged hospital but it was serving as one now. She ahd been here these past months, healing then working to assist the limited medical staff in treating the wounded. There were more dead than wounded but the injured were still coming in. The main hospitals had been hit hard when the Cylons fire bombed the city several weeks ago. Had it not been for the heroic efforts of the fire personnel and ordinary citizens, the city would have been lost. The fact that the lights were still on told Josephine that there was still a government of sorts, even if it were the city government. She would make her way to the government compound in a few days. Until then, she was needed here.

As Dr. Lina Marquez, Surgeon (NPC)
The last of the surgical patients had finally been taken care of. Lina had lost count around three hundred surgeries ago. Every available doctor, nurse and orderly from all around Corinth had been working non-stop and aropund the clock. Many patients were moved to other locations once they were stabilized. Still, there were several hundred patients recovering both inside the hospital and in the tents that were set up months ago. Lina was looking forward to fnally going home, to the small village of Jera, approximately fifty kilometers to the east of Corinth City. For now, she stood ready for any new patients that may be heading their way. Looking around the break room, she spotted a bowl of fruit. Grabbing an apple, she placed it inside her left pocket adn headed down the hall towards the surgical prep room.
