New orders. New plan. The false alarm opened everyone's eyes to the fact that they weren't ready encase things did go south. Reconnaissance teams are heavily armed but not quick reacting while smaller teams can be both. Acropolis is a city populated by Caprican and Libran refugees which gives them a Colonial stake. Far from Corinth, the men here had setup one of the many Joint Operations Bases on Kobol. Military housing, training facilities, live mess, operations buildings and even hangers with landing strips; they could setup a CAP faster than New Corinth which was attending to the teams. Giving up the horse, John had most of his gear on hand as he tossed Samuel a patch on the way to the squad quarters; "We consist of Echo Squad. As soon as Sparky and Firecracker gets back then we'll be a full squad. As for now, time to rest before our Colonial counterparts ask for assistance," pushing open the door to find bunk beds. Dropping into the bed, John was dead tired and was ready to ease the pain in his aching shoulder blade.

Waking up to his tactical pad going off, forgetting where he was as he rolled over and onto the wooden floor which reminded him of training. It appeared that the Colonel was gone but left a list for him which most of this he was already planning. Between fighting the Cylons, surviving and well his bit of horseback riding; he had been slacking on basic PT.
Changing into running clothes, Samuel didn't bother with a shirt as he left the room and programmed the tactical pad to track his distance for a 5 mile run. On Terra, he would be going on this run on a regular since Command believed the average SF could travel on average 10,000 miles during deployments. He was there before the fall and wondered where it went wrong even more why.

Landing in the base via Raptor convoy, the last of the supplies had followed him in with Doctor Bishop who had patients sent to the infirmary. The base was much larger than what even he expected with Vipers being constructed nearby and being colored with digital camouflage with the blue bottoms to match the sky. The Colonials and Terrans didn't want to be caught off guard especially given the protective nature of Kobol.
Pulling himself away from the aids, he soon ran into Colonel November and Specialist Winters as he took them into a construction site for the new training facility. Unbuttoning his jacket, William turned to the two men as he spoke softly; "Jonathan got rid of his beacon; we found it in a stream at the bottom of the mountain. In the coming weeks, our new Infrared satellites will be launched so maybe we'll find him but I'm tasking you two to find him and Ms. Matthews. You two leave tomorrow," turning to November who still had a bad shoulder, "report to the infirmary, I believe they have something for that shoulder of yours."

Seeing the General meant they now had a point of contact which was better than wondering around the base. Listening to him, John knew Evanna and Jonathan knew the planet quite well and Jonathan was a tracker as well as former Special Forces. Evanna was a scout and had been doing that longer than himself and Samuel so it'll definitely be difficult. Nodding to the General, he turned to Samuel as he though over what to pack; "Pack light but also a blade and we'll head towards the Cascade Mountains." Leaving for the infirmary, anyway to increase his mobility was helpful otherwise the Specialist would be his crutch.

Pack light? A difficult task since they would be going through the untamed forests on horseback so maybe light isn't the best. Though, without Victor, that meant packing a medical bag for the old man while he packs for a small army.
Cleaning the sweat off, he watched them leave as he headed to the armory to get ready for this trip. They had the advantage since traveling by horse was faster and there was now a mountain pass road that was faster than the valley. Headed to the showers, he washed off the dirt and sweat before getting into a pair of Airborne casual pants and a gray shirt. Clipping his holsters on, he knew that there was two weapons that soldiers were using which was the P90 and the AR weapon platform. This meant any weapon that they carried had to be compatible so the modified Tavor x95's which can use the same round with the stock modification to fire the horizontal magazines. Writing up a list, he headed to the armory to begin setting aside their gear with the new throw on vests.

Heading back to the infirmary, John was always for new doctors and new medicines but his shoulder needed time to repair. Taking off his shirt in the office, he waited Doctor Walker to enter with a gel based substance in hand and flex wraps.
Speaking softly, the Doctor applied his purple gloves with a bit of the blue gel; "The effects are stacking in nature but it'll rebuild your shoulder blade with stem cells as well as the muscle. Use twice a day then apply a flex wrap to give you mobility but in a week you should be okay."
Feeling the Doctor apply it, it was nice cold and a bit discomforting but a small price for the returning of his mobility. The flex wrap fitted around his arm and on his upper back before throwing on his shirt, picking up the medical pack that the Walker prepared for him; "Thanks, Doc, this is better than waiting."
Heading out of the infirmary, John started his walk to the barracks but never made it for he found Samuel asleep beside their gear. He said pack light but this wasn't quite light with boxes and bags stacked up into a small fort. Tossing a blanket on the kid, John headed for the barracks for a short nap before departing soon.

Being woken up by a Lieutenant, Samuel flipped on his red light to read the new orders and could see that these new orders were top priority. The weapons would be their own but all mission based gear will be provided on Defiance. Placing their weapons on a cart, they would stick with the M4A1's since there was no mixed magazines. Still waking up, Samuel tossed his mission pack on the cart with John walking out of the barracks; "Still don't know what we're doing," boarding the cargo raptor for New Corinth.

Sitting down with a reporter from KNN, William knew the public needed to see things on the side of the military since operations till now were closely guarded. Turning to the reporter, he had been wired for sound as the reporter started.
Reporter: I'm Jon Howard with KNN, we're here with General William Tyson of the Kobol Defense Force and Peacekeeper Corps. The General is one of many leading the expeditionary forces outside the city and have been prolific in remaining in contact with the public. General, we're six months since landing on Kobol and what would you say our current progression?
William Tyson: Good question and it's so nice to see the um progression that we're at. Current our Peacekeepers are exploring the vast forests and surroundings with them avoiding injuries to my amazement. As for our progression, we have amazing cities and towns that I couldn't envision six months ago so far ahead of my expectations. The government is due to reboot soon with a question of whether or not we're still Terrans. We've been defined by the planet but now we're on Kobol so do we assume a new name?
Reporter: That is a true question for the historians while we continue to rebuild our lives but that also means anyone coming to Kobol would lose their original identity. We know that this being the capital that over time we should see more government officials. Rumors are that the military is bring in Colonial officers that have valuable secondary skills?
William Tyson: I personally encourage the recruitment of any non Terran personnel no matter the talents. They know the symbols and tribes better than us though short of the underlining survival we almost must understand Kobol. Myself and others are interested in why everyone originally left this massive world short of the gods banishing them. Was there a disaster? This is one of many questions posed by those that landed here and we intend to answer them. In fact, a team in the artic found a rocket and maybe through more boots on the ground we can discover more.
Reporter: A discovery in the artic that amazing! We'll have to follow up on that next time but may I ask what your end of the day thoughts might be?
William Tyson: Its probably the same thought that has everyone wondering how we survive. We came from a population in the millions to just under a million with more than 40% being military. Losing a home is a big loss and trust me the Colonials can tell you about that but we must survive. We must overcome the challenges that we are faced with. We must find normalcy and rebuild our lives. But, we must start having babies no matter their nationality and from their we will survive. Thanks for the interview and we'll keep you updated on the artic situation.
Reporter: Thanks for your time, General, and this is Jon from KNN.

Their sins was descending upon them now...
Tucked away in the bunker, Jack watched the trouble from Terra arrive here though it was less of the attack he was focused on. Downloading the sensor data, the civilians had been tucked away into survival bunkers while the Kobol ground defenses switched to a mode even the Cylons couldn't hide. To be invisible from the eye is a massive feat but thermals saw them as clear as day for the Battlestar was creating tons of heat as well as the raiders. Nodding to the Lieutenants, missile grid came online as they began downing once 'invisible' raiders with the contingent of Colonial pilots taking off. Terra may be defenseless but in the few years of being on Kobol well she now has her fangs.
The massive screens of the bunker showed imagery from the high altitude drones and satellites of the Basestar as Jack analyzed the ship. Bold move from the Cylons indeed but issue is too bold...they showed their hand while he hid his Aces. Receiving reports about the shipyard, he grinned for that was still being built thus served as a good diversion and likely gave him a win in the Council.

Cylons were showing their hand and they had something to protect their own. Calling for all electronics to go offline, they had a weapon that tests shown could bring down a star and even more linger long enough to end the reign of the raiders. Pulling out his key, Tyson already inserting his own into the console as the system reminded them that all non shielded devices would be fried as well as the Class-Zeta protection requirement. Turning the keys, both ground and orbital stations transmitted a massive EMP wave that began downing raiders while aircraft landed on Kobol.
Noticing ash falling from the near misses, the EMP cloud on Kobol would be persistent and something they would have to clean up.

Noticing Tyson preparing the new carbon coated ballistic missiles, it was very unlikely that the toaster would see these with her sensors. And now word was coming in that the raiders were self detonating as his own Raptor pilots were gathering up. Kobol station got nicked in the ring but had the next shot loaded. That Basestar came to Kobol expecting an easy win but unlike Terra she fell into a trap made for them.
Firing off missiles and now 17 inch batteries from the mountain districts, Kobol station fired off another bolt with Raptors firing off enough missiles to create a black rectangle. In the distance, ballistic missiles en route to the target and Viper pilots keeping their distance for their enemy has already blew themselves up.

Sending the abort codes to the cruise missiles and orders to the Vipers to take out the rest; it was evident that Kobol had her weaknesses but also strengths. They needed more stations, more guns and a larger flight wing with a larger detection field thus more funding. Sending the ALL CLEAR signal, the bunkers began to open as Tyson turned to Thrax; "I'll take two squads of SFs and go to Terra to ensure the President signs the Declaration of War but I'll also talk with your brother," picking up his cane, " I think we may have a mole in Terran Intelligence so let's try to seclude that organization from our own." Tyson never trusted Terran Intelligence since his early career when they concluded the only way to win is to remove the humanity from the troops. The A.I program was a massive mistake and one that they all have to deal with but it seems like they are doing it again. Rumors of Colonials being augmented in the Colonies, Terran technology being used on new cruisers and frigates and even now cloaking devices...devices which were experiments at one point now a commonality in combat. Cylons may proclaim originality but this new technology was attempted long ago with little success and they needed to know how to combat this new threat.
Headed for the transport, he hated space travel but now he would have to bury that hatred for the trip home world provide two things for him. Perspective and the cure to this rapid aging which was worth the trip considering for a man of 110 years old the prospect of dying in times like these wasn't optimal for him.

Watching while her fellow Representatives are flown in by choppers, Ashley reviewed the plan that Tauron out of all places had established. The Council with 20 Colonial and 20 Terran Marines will be traveling on board the Tauron Cruiser Hannibal with frigate escorts Tripoli and Renegade. Both Frigates will be filled with humanitarian supplies as well as filters and generators to aid Terra in the rebuilding process. The only thing that made these three ships special was the Terran FTLs that they would be using. Upon her own insistence, these ships would be carrying 2 Viper wings and the improved Cargo Raptors but the entire length of the trip would be six hours.
All this preparation normally wouldn't be needed if they weren't at war but she knew Jack was working to undo this. Then there was Michael Martin. She hasn't talked to hum since the landing on Kobol and now she would be with the Council and President during the ceremony on the Titan. Boarding the civilian white Raptor, she knew the hardest part wasn't standing before Admiral Martin but to see her home in Frondal so devastated.
