Setting Liam down on smooth rock before unzipping the vest as he called over the medic who handed him a cork stick as he slipped on his gloves, "Liam, I suggest you bite down on this since the medic is out of pain killers and well its going to be a wee bit painful," stepping back as he watched from a distance before walking over to Tom, "just got word from Allison that she's inbound with that truck of yours but we need to keep moving since the Centurions may come here next to hunt down survivors. Had a Captain do an inventory and well its not looking good on weapons," pulling out a map as he set it down on a rock. Showing all the previous areas they've been as well as small cities they had intelligence on considering weapon caches, "if we travel North and stay in this range then we'll reach an old Colonial Mountain fortress that may have weapons which may still be useful."
Closing the map as he tucked it back into his vest as he handed over the P90 over to Tom, he walked over to Liam as he handed the doctor his syringe of nanites as he set the bullet down into a pan, picking up the bullet as he placed it into the vest; "Don't get comfortable, we'll stay the night here and move out but got news from Allison, that damn truck survived the blast so you and the General will be taking it tomorrow till you recover."

Taking the P90, he knew they were going in blind but with only 4 teams that managed to survive, they didn't have much choice but all he could hope for is that more survived maybe even Jack's recon team. Keeping the use to radios to a minimum, he started over to Liam as he clipped the rifle to his vest as the medic walked away and back to the General; "Sitting in the back of the truck? Shit, I almost had a Battlestar land on me and here it takes a bullet to get a ride," laughing as he lifted the bandage before patting the man on the shoulder, "don't look so bad and if we can get more weapons then shit we'll be getting revenge for this deception."

Sitting down on the rock as the two medics came over. Liam put the cork in his mouth and bit down. The medic said something but Quinto was too busy trying to figure out how to get back to Terra. Just before he felt the round be extracted from his chest, the Colonel hear squishing and scrapping. As the medic pulled the bullet from gis chest Bullseye screamed, though it was muffled by the cork. After the corporal was done Liam spat the stick out. Looking up at Jack as he came back over.
"Oh I don't plan on it. It will take more than a round to the chest to keep me down."
After say that he spotted Tom heading over. He hadn't seen much of him since before the ambush. Smirking at the statement the Major made he glanced up and spoke.
"Well not all of us can be as lucky as me."

Patting the kid on the shoulder, he spotted Allison coming up the mountain wounded as well as he asked the medics to attend to her while he made contact with the 2 squads he had left before the attack. Giving them their projected path, he sent them ahead as he knew with the fires burning it would be a while till they can see the sun again since the fires were burning much like the sun; breaking out the blankets to wrap up the wounded before setting up first watch. His final tally was at just around 100 survivors of the massacre meaning over 4 million men died at the hands of their own creation and if this same attack was happening on Terra then only the 300 SF's would have to face it alone with hopefully his brother at their side. Kneeling down on the rocks, he said a silent prayer to his brother and to the gods, he only wished they hadn't been so damn arrogant and he knew if they lived through all of this then those Cylons will be fearing them once more since this would be their rise out of the ashes.
Turning to Liam as Tom kept him company, "Ever heard of the story of 'The Rise of the Phoenix' and forget all the myths and legends, once we're at 100% again, we'll rise from the ashes and won't just get revenge for our fallen but revenge for everything. Before we get home, we'll have the Cylons shaking out of their chrome, knowing that they can never put us down so don't rush on getting better after all, your training and war experience will be tested in this hell hole," he was serious since all of them were war veterans of just not the Terran Wars but also the all these little wars but this would be a place that they can reclaim before returning home.

They have never lost everything but he knew this new tactic would require them to fight this war differently, they would have to go back to their old tactics were one man could hold off an army before the "Lexington Accords" which stopped such brutal tactics on Terra and thus the SF's. Wrapping the kid up in the blanket as he slipped on his jacket as he spotted the trucks being moved into cover which would be loaded up with wounded in the morning, "At least our raider squadron got clear before all of this so if they follow protocol they should be returning to either the Icarus in the Colonies or to Terra."

Coughing a bit as he woke up, he saw the medics over his as they urged him not to move, they must've sealed up the wound but he still wasn't out of the woods as they filled him in concerning his health. He had lost too much blood so his body is having difficulty in reproducing blood and without another Gondawan around to donate him blood he was really fighting for life even more he had an infection that they were closely monitoring. Looking over a sheet of paper Jack had put down in front of him, only 100 SF/Nomad forces survived the massacre meaning they were effectively wiped out and if they made it home he would have to fight to keep the Corps alive. Shedding a tear, the SF Division had been around for a little more than a 1000 years and if the courts have it their way then it would end with him as the last General but he knew Jack had something in store. If they could rise from this massive defeat then it would show the SF Division was not just the best but could be written down in history as a Division that could do anything with the right mind set.
Calling over Jack, he pulled the pins off his jacket as he spoke load enough for everyone to hear him, "I should be giving these to Tom for truly bringing the Nomads back to life but until we get off this bloody planet," pausing as he coughed, "Jack Thrax, I'm promoting you to Brigade General till we can get off this planet and until further notice all SF's are being transferred to Nomad status. Nomads are the best, I was told of a legend of the Nomad when I was in training, the Nomads were the last line of defense the right arm of the SF Division. One man could hold off an army, there may be only a hundred of us but before we leave, the Cylons will think there are millions and will fear us for our own little resurrection. I'm sorry," pausing once more as tears poured down from his eyes, "should've never brought us here and we would still have our Division ranks filled but if we didn't come here then we would on the defense. We win this war for the fallen, I and the rest of you better not forget that."

The Colonel sat with his blanket, wishing he was able to get into the fight. Instead he would have to ride in a truck with General Harperson. Liam respected the man in a military aspect, though on a personal level he rather parachute into a mine field than talk to the man. One of he medics had put a cargo container behind Quinto so he could lean against it. The man shifted his wait and the blanket fell revealing his tags and his wedding ring.
Looking over he saw Ramsey and Jack speaking intently about something. When the General handed Thrax something a private walked through his line of sight. Wincing he tried to see what the Gondawan had given Jack. They were far enough away that their voices we're just muffles of sound.

Waiting till everyone was asleep, Tom and the still able body soldiers began loading them into back of the trucks before coming up to Allison who was healing from the gunshot wound and well would be able to walk once more in a few hours. Helping her up, he handed her a pistol while his P90 hung off his chest, "Stay close, the medic says you'll be able to walk soon and we need to get moving," spotting Jack as he started to move along with most of the men with the two trucks driving below. Moving between Jack who was high up and the trucks which were below, they were going have to stick to the mountains for most of this trip, keeping Allison up on her feet till she could take over.

Staying up high with his G36 that his Captain took before the fight, he knew that his recon team had to setup zip lines for them since going into the valley would be risky as hell and staying high at least they could watch both for both Centurions and raiders. Sliding over the zip line to the next mountain, the smoke from the fires had poured into the mountains, blocking out the sun and now with the rain coming it would make the Centurions near impossible to find them. Spotting the vehicles below with Tom leading the second group to cover the trucks, he crossed his arms over his rifle as he spotted a mirror flash from a few miles away which was his recon team; knowing that the next signal would be his recon team finding the little reinforce castle left behind by the Colonials.

:Nomad Captain Bryson:
Reaching the fort, the Captain wiped off the brass plating which read: Fort Winters; which probably meant it was named after a President since the Colonials were predictable that way. Checking the perimeter before entering, they soon found themselves in the underground weapon cache which was extensive; racks and racks of weapons with ammo boxes lining the wall. Whoever made this massive cache may had plans to use it but it appeared to never have been touched even the missiles for the launchers were still in their racks which was perfect for them cause now they had all the guns and ammo they would need for a long siege and crates of MRE's which rarely go bad. Ordering his men to setup along the walls, they needed to hold this position till everyone else got here and they weren't that far behind them but it was going to be one cold night since the temperatures had already dropped below 20.

Reaching the Fort, Jack walked through the steel main gates with his squad as he signaled Tom and the trucks to head up since the main courtyard was covered which was perfect and most of them would be underground as well. Walking around the walls, it appeared they were reinforced to stand up against direct hits which was good since that sort of reinforcing is beyond them for now; spotting the trucks starting their climb up which is more on the skill of the driver than anything else.
Handing his rifle over to Captain Bryson, he waited till the truck arrived in the courtyard before assisting with the offloading which meant this would wake up most of the patients before they got them underground. Carrying Liam underground, Bryson managed to light up the area which was great since it had a small med bay to set the injured down in as well as all these unused weapons which meant this blind luck call was worth it.

Out of breath, he approached the gates as he reached for his canteen full of frozen water which was no good, tossing it aside as he helped the General out of the truck. Walking him down, he noticed the medics had done a nice job on patching the wound and he did spot some movement from the General but it was going to be a lot of physical therapy till the man was back up to one hundred percent; setting him down in a med bay bed. Unzipping his vest, he set it aside before catching a jacket from one of the Nomads for this cold weather but instead of going back out he went over to a corner and went to sleep with his jacket in hand. Much like many Terrans, Tom hated the cold and he had already experienced it on Aquaris, even more he didn't want to experience now but this was one of the few places that the Centurions can't travel since it would freeze them up which made it perfectly safe for them.

After the bumpy ride through the mountains that they had come through just hours before. They reached their new destination, a old fortress that was used by the Colonials. Being help down from the truck then down to where the medics were setting up a makeshift hospital. Trying sat down by Jack before Liam saw the man in ave he said something quietly.
"Jack, I've known you for twenty years now. I'm your second-in-command, how screwed are we? Be honest, you've never lied to me before."
Liam said setting up in the bed drinking what water wasn't frozen. He and Jack knew each other from the battle between Corinth and Sparta, in which they push the Spartans back over the Armistice line.

He didn't want to tell the kid that this was the worst they've ever been but they still had a fighting chance, the enemy was most likely sure they wiped out everyone which meant they could rise but only when everyone was healed up. Undoing his pack, he started up a portable heater which would last a few hours and maybe raise the room temperature while another officer handed out food. Whispering to Liam while the medic double checked the wound, "There is a 72 hour check in period which we're going to miss and from there Michael will have to plot a rescue mission with the 300 SF's he has. As long as we're alive there is still a fighting chance," grinning a bit before stepping aside to meet one of his Captains. He needed to keep the recon teams out since Romo had yet to make contact and he wasn't around when they left the mountainside which meant there was a chance that he made it out with a few more SF's and might be doing attacks.
Ordering Tom to walk over to him, he knew he would have to send the man out on a recon team as he pulled out the map; "I've having Recon Team Alpha head for the airfield but before the attack, we knew there was a base about 300 miles from the old base which would make it reasonable if Romo headed there. You'll be heading there with Major Black and Recon Team Bravo, good luck and in the mean time I'll work on securing our radios."

Having to survive the ambush with only a few scratches and bruises, Romo managed to escape with a few thousand SF's who were still returning to the base and well now it was time to go on the offense against the Centurions that once had their backs. Holding onto his M4, he could see the Centurions over the hill searching their vehicles which was a trap they had setup for them as he signaled his snipers to begin opening fire on the Centurions. Taking them out in mere seconds, he knew the base had taken care of the Siege tanks but not the aircraft but he could only hope other survivors had taken them out, still didn't matter since they had missiles that could bring down a plane. Jogging to the humvees, he placed down a few explosives since the truck was out of fuel and now no use to them as he setup a pressure switch so only a Centurion could detonate it before jogging into the forest once more.
Major Miller waited for him, holding a map of where the forward teams had surveyed early on, "Sir, 2 teams had watched Commodore Thrax take a few survivors into the mountains but we're too far to head there but there is a Cylon base about a 100 miles away that we can hack into the network thus reconnecting the tactical pads it might even have rides for us to search for the Commodore."
Turning to Miller, he recalled the snipers as the men began to move once more, he had close to 10,000 SF's now under his command and even more pissed which was good cause he could work with that; "Mr. Miller, once I feel that our security is taken care of then we'll search for the Commodore as for now, we should get moving."
