As the entire star when from offline to emitting some level of power, Malik nearly jumped out of his skin. And to think the cylons abandoned this star a while back. I wonder.... he thought as he slipped inside one of the nearby rooms. Taking a brief minute to calm his nerves, he double checked the star's current status on his holopad. the raptor's systems were preset to appear as cylon tech in a colonial raptor's airframe to act as a kind of spy craft, which would explain why Malik could take a small sigh of relief knowing that his ship was not currently being scrapped by the star's remaining centurions. The star's current status registered as 75% operational with still a few issues entailing a few of the more vital systems. such a speed in repair always surprised Malik, no matter how often he had been around Jack's centurions.
Placing the holopad back in his bag, he slung his weapon behind him and made his way back out into the halls; but not before checking to make sure he did not run into any centurion patrols on his way to the CCC...
It took him a lot longer than he would have liked to make it to the CCC, but alas he was not expecting the ship to come back online when he first landed. By the time he made it, he was lucky to find most, if not all of the centurions on guard duty currently in the process of finishing with the repairs of the CCC. The entire room looked like a disaster area with only a few stations currently hooked up properly to the rest of the ship's systems. two people in the center he recognized from Jack's friend database, though Malik had yet to fully figure out what drove jack to becoming friends with both cylon and colonial forces. Taking a deep sigh, but knowing this would be the better way to get his career started, Malik leaned his head slightly around the corner without revealing himself to the occupants of the room and spoke in a clear and confident voice, with a tone that only Jack would use towards these two.
"My dear Lexi, and commander greeddie. good to know you two are still alive after all this chaos." He then chuckled slightly and sighed, but only after hearing the reply of the occupants in the room. "I'm sorry, I cannot imitate Commander Reynolds no matter how hard I try."

As Eddie is speaking with Lexi about the ship's status, he hears a human voice from behind him, near one of the entry hatchways. He immediately spins around, drawing his AA-12 to the ready, snapping off the safety. Almost simultaneously, all four of Eddie's escort centurions do the same. Poor Malik, in the scope of just a couple seconds, has three AA-12 and two M-134's trained on his general vicinity. For some reason, Eddie hesitates on firing. Could it be the mentioning of either, or both, of Lexi's and Eddie's names? Eddie is not sure, but one thing is even more puzzling, and that is why his centurions have not removed that bulkhead Malik is hiding behind in a hail of bullets. 'No time to debate that now' Eddie thinks. He then barks out, almost instinctively ...STEP FORWARD AND PREPARE TO BE RECOGNIZED ......

Confused that none of the centurions in the room tried to light up the bulkhead he was hidden behind, Malik paused for a minute before bringing his focus to greeddie's statement. Reaching up to his shoulder, he tore the patch off his uniform and slid it over to lexi's feet. with how many times Jack had taken their ship to the scorpion, Malik knew that Lexi would recognize the patch first. once the patch completed its slide, Malik then walked around the corner, arms at his side and his weapons either holstered or slung behind his back. He kept his face as calm and confident as possible, even though inside he felt as though this would be the end. "My name is sergeant Malik Lydeckar. Second marine detachment of the White Fang. Though the ship is currently gone, the commander left enough information behind as to who I can trust." He then glanced over at Lexi, and then at the patch he slid to her. "that patch should explain enough."

<< OOC - first I would like to apologize I typed a nice post yesterday and somehow it never posted. I had answered both Eddie and Malik's posts ..... let me try again >>>
Lexi bent down and picked up the patch. She recognized it immediately and showed it to Eddie with a look of surprise. "This patch is from the White Fang. Commander Reynolds's old ship. How is it that it comes to be in your possession, Sergeant Malik Lydeckar?"
Lexi was never as trusting as Kona and this newcomer is going to have to earn her trust. With Justice being gone, it's up to her now to make the right decisions for both her Crew and her Star.
Knowing that she and Eddie clearly had the upper hand she began to ask some questions of the Sergeant. "What is it you want of us, Sergeant?" Lexi handed the patch back to the Sergeant as she and Eddie waited to hear an explanation. The Centurions did not change their stance as their Red Eyes remained LOCKED on the Target.

as Malik rounds the hatchway and speaks, Eddie adjusts his weapons' train for highest probability of hits and tracks Maliks' movement, his centurions do the same; small adjustments as Malik moves. Eddie gets a sensation as if someone, or something, is asking him for permission to fire. It is the strangest thing to Eddie, yet, oddly familiar. Eddie blots it out, or at least tries to. His attention needs to be on Malik. If he decides to in initiate hostilities, Eddie MUST be ready...
As the conversation progresses, there is a high cyclic, high pitch, low volume "chirping" heard. Eddie slowly maneuvers to the side of his lead centurion and removes a small rectangular box from its side with his left hand; the right still training the AA-12 on Malik. He then places his thumb on a small pad, never taking his eyes off Malik. There is a very brief period where Eddie seems to be in a trance, but only for a fraction of a second. Eddie then places the box back on the centurion and walks slowly back to Lexi ...... watching Malik as he does.
Once back at Lexi's side, Eddie quietly says .... first wave of replacement centurions onboard ... assuming duty stations ...... raider complement restored ... then a pause .... is this human a friendly ....

Sandy had managed to find her way to the CCC. She had never been on this Star and it wasn't exactly configured the same as the others. Gotta hand it to the Cylons, always being inventive. The fact she had managed to come aboard undetected is what intrigued her the most. The fact that she made it this far into the ship without being stopped worried her even more. Stepping inside, she saw three figures standing there, conversing. Waling up to them, she smiled.
"Well, looks like we have severe security issues here my brother and sister. Sandy's the name and destruction's the game. So, what sort of fun do you have going on? Oh, and by the way, there should be a One and a Four following me shortly, if they don't get themselves lost first."

Eight stands back and keeps quiet until another Six shows up. She pulls the Six back to where she is standing and quietly says *I'm not sure how you managed to get yourself in here except for the fact that most of our Centurions have been destroyed. I am Eight, and that other Six is Lexi, the Star Commander with Eddie who runs the Shipyards. Now just keep out of the way til we figure out who this unknown man is that has suddenly shown up.*
Eight pulls Sandy by the arm and positions her out of the way as she puts a finger to her lips and motions for her to remain quiet.

Lexi lets out a sigh of relief to know that the new Centurions are not only onboard but are assuming their duty stations.
She shrugs at Eddie's question "not sure yet, we'll see what he says about his reasons for coming here but if he is a friend of Jack's I think he is ok".
Lexi is relieved when Eight pulls the other Six to the back corner.

Feeling the red eyes of the centurians burn into him, Malik tried to shrug off the startling sensations as best as possible by maintaining forced focus on Lexi and Greeddie. "I have served with the commander from the founding of the BCfleet, until the final day that he took his fleet and left this area. My raptor became separated in the leaving jump, and so was left with very few options. I chose to search for you since I knew there was still work to be done where Jack left off. upon finding your ship in a condition of near death, I came aboard to see what I could do. bringing a star, and all its crew back to life would have been a fun task for little ole me. all I ask for is a place to start from to rebuild what Jack had made."
Malik then took a more casual posture. he was not gonna try to give eddie and his centurions even one reason to pull the trigger. He then began patting his chest pockets as if searching for something, but stopped rather quickly as he pulled a flask from the left breast pocket. "I'm sorry, an old habit." he said with a grin after he took a drink of the flask and placed it back in the compartment.

"Very well, you may join us, Malik. We can certainly use all help offered." Lexi smiled and extended her right hand as she looked first at Malik then at Eddie and finally turned to Eight and Sandy.
"Looks like we have a new Crew Member folks! Let's get this place back into working order. Malik? Can you give us a hand in the remaining repairs here in the CCC?" Lexi pushed her hair behind her right and left ears as the place was beginning to feel a bit warm. Or was it just adrenaline? She wasn't sure at this point but the situation had been diffused and she was happy for that.
"Welcome aboard, Sandy. Sorry about all of this but we were not sure of Malik here's intentions when just he suddenly appeared."
"Now, Commander Eddie, you say my Centurions and Raiders have been delivered. Are they working on the Landing Bay?" she was ready to get this Star back up to par now!

Letting go of Sandy's arm Eight stepped forward and shook hands with Malik *Welcome to the Scorpion, Malik. Happy to have you join us*
Eight looked around and tried to decide their next project in repairing the CCC *If you want to give me a hand with this I'd appreciate it* she said to Malik as she began to move an overturned station and set it back upright. *We still need to connect all the electronics here*

Eddie is a bit perplexed as to how all these people could have evaded his security teams. He WILL investigate this further. But, he still has a situation right in front of him to contend with. Lexi asks about the hangar bay repairs ...I would assume so ..... the remaining complement of centurions has yet to arrive .. but the first installment is already at work on the most vital areas of the ship ... it should take another three flights to fully staff the centurions .... Eddie now realizes that flying replacements really is not working as he hoped. He now wishes he had rigged the War Hammer with some form of "docking collar" that would allow for centurions to just walk onto the Scorpion. That would speed things up considerably....
As the conversation continues, there seems to be an accord forming between Lexi and Malik. Eddie relaxes his security stance a bit, lowering his shotgun. As the situation diffuses itself, Eddie casually wanders back his lead centurion and retrieves that box he had earlier, and as before presses his thumb on the pad. Eddie inquires from John if there were any other ships jumping into the airspace around the two ships, and when the reply is "no" Eddie can only deduce that these people were already onboard the Scorpion when he had arrived. Coupled with the sparseness if the security detail he brought over, not expecting any trouble, this would explain why his security had failed in detection of these people. He will have to consider this the next time he has to "retrieve" another 'star in the future.
Eddie is about to return the COMM device when he receives a message from two of his centurions that they are just outside the CCC hatchway, and have tracked the six in particular basically from just outside the hangar deck to the CCC. Eddie smirks a bit with the irony of this. The stealth mode of his boarding party centurions seems to have paid off. Eddie then thinks that he should not let that cat out of the bag just yet. He orders the two to secure from stealth, then enter the room, letting all there except for Eddie and his centurions to wonder just how these new centurions got to the CCC unheard....
... the CLANK CLANK CLANK of at least two centurions walking can be heard for the first time right at the hatchway as two more heavy centurions enter the CCC...

Breathing a slight sigh of relief, Malik took the handshakes with much acceptance. "thank you, Lexi. But if you remember the way Jack was, then you should have a small idea of what to expect from me." He then turned to Eddie before the man walked out. "I thank you for not ordering your centurions to shoot me, or for that matter, scrap the raptor in the hanger. I'd prefer to live at least a little longer, and the raptor is the only bit of combined tech still remaining from jack's fleet." He ended with a grin before turning back to the commotion and heading over to assist the eight in her project. Even though his senses were still heightened by the action, he was still surprised by the sight of more centurions marching into the room as he finished connecting the station to the wall. He could have sworn he had heard no sound from the clankers until they were almost all in the room. Freaky tech, he thought as he continued with the clean up

Eddie gives Malik a casual but suspicious "nod" in reply to his "thanking" of not killing him or destroying his raptor. If this were Eddie's ship, half of this human would already be splattered all over the bulkhead, the other half a crimson pile of shredded meat on the deck. But, since this s NOT his ship, he has to confer overall command to Lexi. As for the raptor, Eddie had assumed that it was a captured ship that Lexi had acquired at an earlier time. There was no way for Eddie to differentiate the difference with all the modifications done to it.
Eddie then looks at Lexi .... Commander ... if you need me .... I will be in the hangar ... coordinating the delivery of the supplies needed for repairs ... With this statement, Eddie leaves for the hangar, centurions in tow ...

Lexi nodded as Eddie left the CCC. "I will be down shortly to see what progress has been made, Commander Eddie. Eight once you and Malik have finished with that just make sure everything checks out in proper working order please."
As Lexi turned to leave the CCC it occurred to her that Malik would need a place to sleep. "Malik, there are some empty Crew Quarters on Deck Four. Please make yourself at home in any one that is empty. With the recent demise of nearly everyone on board that should be pretty easy" She smiled then left the CCC.
