Flipping on her emergency radio as her old one died, she switched over to a frequency that she knew Cotter would be listening to; "This is Longshot of Darious City, requesting Elea along with several medical units and shuttles filled with rations...kinda hungry and injured location will be marked with blue smoke. Request that they are escorted by vipers we have raiders flying overhead but they seem to be limping by, Longshot standing by."

They reached the tree line when the rain started to fall, they found cover in some rocks ducking the cylon patrols. "Quick learner" he smiled and pulled the map from his vest, took a quick glance then stuck it back. "ok our objective is to get out of from behind enemy lines and regroup with the other ground forces" one of his men handed him the eagle eyes and he scanned the area ahead the gave them back. "first lets make you mobile ensign" he pulled the med kit and and injected her with some adrenalin and a painkiller hypo spray he looked up at her as he warped the bandage around her leg. you should feel like a super solder for at lease 5 hours, he tucked the painkiller hypo into her flight jacket pocket then threw his ruck on and jammed a fresh clip into his M-4. "lets move its about to get dark". the sky was grey and and the forest grew silent nothing but rain drops against the plants and trees. Shay bit down on her lip to avoid making a sound once Greer stuck the syringe of adrenalin into her leg. She smiled as he wrapped the bandage tightly around it and then helped her back onto her feet. "Thanks. Looks like I'll be the one buying you a drink once this is all over." Making sure her side arm was loaded, she kept it by her side as the team began moving through the quiet forest. The Ensign was surprised at the silence, yet it was nice at the same time. Dark and quiet. She kept close to Greer. "Pretty sure this is the most action I've seen in years." She wagged her eyebrows a bit and giggled.

"we should find some cover for the night this should be a good spot " the sound of fly raiders over head had gone silent and the rain was getting lighter

Accepting the pair of night vision goggles from Greer, Shay got a chuckle out of what he said. "No, no fights." The silence that surrounded them put her mind at ease, it was serenity. For now, they didn't have to worry about being chased or shot at. She nodded her head in agreement as the team began throwing together a make-shift camp, small enough for the night. Jansen found a spot on the ground and sat, leaning back against a tree. "Well, this sure as hell beats being shot out of the sky, huh?" The Ensign said, smiling at Greer.

*Making my hourly runs throughout Corinth, reaching up pressing my throat mic. Setting it to record.*
"Sunday Apr 29, 7367, 3:00 Am, Everything in at peace the Cylons have moved on. The Corinth civilians are returning to there lives. Martial Law is still in effect, troops are patrolling the street and the air.
I know have two cites under my control Corinth and Darous City. Our new fleet of ship now patrolling space should be spread out around Terra. I been thinking on what Yogi has told me and Clayton, I need to send a squad to the Grand Council and this underground labyrinth. Cotter out"
*Reaching back up ending the recording, reaching back down to the handle bar's. Looking side to side watching everyone as a new don's over the city*

Sweeping in low under the Colonial and Terran DRADIS, two lone heavy raiders prepared for their runs. Each heavy raider carried sixteen bombs, small but powerful. Each bomb had a guidance chip that was pre-programmed with a specific set of coordinates within the city, namely government, military and public service targets. Within seconds, the heavy raiders swooped upwards, dropping their payloads onto the unsuspecting city, unleashing a firestorm of destruction, damage and carnage. For the survivors, they would soon wish they were with the dead.

As Flight Leftenant Mitchell Boggs, Terran Defense Forces (npc)Leftenant Mitchell Boggs was just now returning from his combat patrol, low on fuel and almost out of ammo when he looked towards his left at the capital city. Something caught his eyes, a fast moving shape. It was heading straight towards the city. Suddenly, his DRADIS alarm went off. Looking at the screen, he saw there were two raiders. He was then able to make them out visually, having been partially shrouded in the smoke of the city fires that still raged in a few places. keying his mic, he called out to whoever might be listening. "This is Flight Leftenant Boggs, coming in from the west towards the capital. I've got two bogeys coming in fast and....WHOA, all that's holy! They're dropping some sort of high explosive fire bombs! Can you read me, over? Is there anyone there? My god, they've destroyed the city!." Mitchell watched as the bombs flew off into separate directions and began hitting their targets: the hospital, the government center, what was left of the Colonial Fleet headquarters building as well as the adjoining Colonial Marine headquarters. Schools, homes, businesses and factories were all consumed in the firestorm. All he could do was watch as the two heavy raiders made a hard dive upwards and into the upper atmosphere, disappearing in the clouds. "Corinth control, do you copy? Colonial Control, do you copy, over? The city has been attacked, all available emergency support needs to be sent there as soon as possible, over."

*Flying around the city on my hover bike, cocking my head up to a strange sound. Seeing a squad of Barracuda's, then one of them being to act odd. The city has been attacked, all available emergency support needs to be sent there as soon as possible, over." *Pressing the PITT on my throat mic* "Lieutenant Boggs this your General Odin Cotter were ok down here, the city is fine. No Cylons in sight, it sounds like someone messed with your view screen. Reach down to your right and flip off the canopy HUD and you'll see that everything is ok. By the way welcome aboard."

As Flight Leftenant Mitchell Boggs, Terran Defense Forces (npc)Still seeing the destruction in front of him, Boggs was taken aback by the General's comments that the city was fine. Suddenly, Boggs realized what the issue was-he wasn't over the capital city, he was over the city of Sparta. "Correction general, it's SPARTA that is under attack. Send all available personnel there, the city is on fire, over."

Turning to Rebecca as they entered the outer limits of the capital, he hadn't been here in almost a decade instead he chooses to avoid the major cities with the remembrance of Helios; "Turn off onto the artificial river...it'll keep us going through checks and we can park in the underground subway system," although he hated big cities he still knew the best way of getting in considering when Terran Intelligence called him they usually met in the underground.
Picking up his rifle, he checked over the clip as he screwed a suppressor on, pulling off his service uniform as he strapped on a tactical vest and holsters from his seat.

Nodding, she drove off of the bank and onto the concrete side that was the artificial river, she knew with the rain that it was risky considering this river could flood leaving them miles down stream. Driving across the thin stream, she stayed close to the side as she spotted an entrance for them, sliding the car into the old subway tunnel. Mud covered the side of the car as they drove down to the first exit, driving up onto the platform as she flipped off the car; "Standard box formation, get those shields out and remember we're not done till the President says we're done!" Pulling out her shield as she placed her sword on her back, starting up the stairs with the rest of the Terran Spec Ops.

Getting out of the car, he held onto his M-4 as he picked up his shield as he placed it to his right so he could fire with his left. Running up the stairs, he ordered the men into a box as they covered the President as they started down the city street, their shields brushed with the blue to keep them from shining from any light. Marching as a single unit, the Terrans focused only to getting to the capital as they marched past Marines. Finally breaking off, they surrounded the capital building as Thomas, Rebecca, President a few headed inside the destroyed lobby.

Helping Sam into the passenger seat, he set his rifles down into the back seat as the few Terran Spec. Ops they had left loaded up into the vehicles and thus restarting the convoy. Starting up the truck as he got in, he closed the door and flipped on the head lamps as he shifted it into a higher gear to keep up. Whispering to himself, he had always hated trucks considering they were too top heavy compared to the cars he's used to driving. Taking her hand, he peered over at her leg wound as he grinned; "Should be healed by now...the medical agent I put in almost 40 years old but for 90% all wounds takes only a few minutes that's why I was insistent about putting it on first and then the bandage;" noticing it raining hard as he kept up with Rebecca. Whispering to her as he placed their hands on the shifter, "Can't wait to get this over with and get some R&R...get the only scars that don't hurt as much as these toasters," grinning as he finished the last bit. As they finally got out of the hillside and into the capital city, Sam gently squeezed Michael's hand as he shifted into a higher gear. She heard a voice come in through her earpiece, and she looked over at him. "One of my men said they've made it to the President's office. They should be waiting there for us." She cracked the window slightly to get some air, relieved that this would all be over soon and they might all have a chance to take a break. Peace and quiet would be welcomed. She looked at Michael and smiled. "We might both be spending that R&R in a bed if we keep getting shot at." Looking down at his side, she frowned. Sam also wondered if her best friend, Clayton, was still alive and well. She hadn't seen him since all of this started.... Pulling back on to the road Greer and his team joined what was left of the Terran convoy with the truck that had two missing door and a chunk from the bed missing, he saluted the major from the back of the truck. "Good to see some Tauron blood around sir, we are all that's left of the second colonial marine assault force, sorry where late we got shot down just out side the capital 12 raptors where lost, care if we tag along" he looked up into the sky, it was silent, the rest of the raiders must have bugged out. Turning around to look back at Greer and the remainder of his team, Sam offered them a smile as well. "Glad to have you down here with us, Sargeant Greer. You remind me a lot of Colonel Briggs, you know." She winked, knowing he was a young kid that had probably grown up around all this war. Mason surely taught him everything he'd taught her back in the day, if not more. Turning back forward, she let out a sigh as their truck came to a stop at the Government Building.
