Hearing her in the bathroom, he skimmed through the photos as he spotted one of Alexander, it must have been decades old but it appeared to be a tablet in hand and some drawings on it. Picking up his phone, he stepped into his not so hidden room as he called out to Rebecca; "Tell Thomas I'm willing to vouch for Daniel but we can't let this guy slip into Colonial hands," hearing her agree as he hung up the phone.
Walking into the bedroom, Michael crossed his arms as he leaned against the doorway; "You alright? Since I loaned my Jeep out to Thomas, figured we'd use something else don't worry got back there before in a car its just a little tricky."

Splashing a few more handfuls of cold water onto her face, Sam shut the faucet off and reached for a towel, patting her skin dry. She propped up against the sink and looked over at Michael. "I'm fine. I'm just tired, I think." Hanging the towel back up, she moved around him and back into the bedroom, placing a few other things into her bag before zipping it up.
Setting down on the end of the bed, Sam crossed her legs and rested her head in the palms of her hands. "I'm ready whenever you are ... unless you have something else that needs to be taken care of?" she said in a lower, softer tone. Hopefully everything was taken care of. And, she hoped, that Apollo Falls wouldn't be near as hot as the rest of this place was.

Tossing his keys in the air as he caught it, he walked over to her as he kneeled down to kiss her; "I've been ready to go," picking up her bag as he walked over to pick up his own, "Trust me, the place is beautiful though I've only seen it from photos when I was working."
Carrying them to the elevator as he set them down, watching as she slowly came over to the elevator; "Trust me, you can get some sleep on the way there...let you have an enjoyable nap."

The doors closed and the elevator began to move, carrying them down to the bottom floor. "If I sleep on the way there, I'll miss the nice drive." she said and smirked as the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened up to the garage. Sam walked over to the car they'd be using and opened the door, taking a quick look inside. She sat down in the passengers side and shut the door, waiting for Michael to join.
Twiddling her thumbs while she waited, Sam laid her head back against the seat and wondered about the place they were going. She'd heard absolutely nothing about it. But if it meant getting some peace and quiet, and being away from people for a few days, it was worth it.

Tossing the bags into the back, he stepped into the car as he started it up before speeding out; "Nice drive," pausing as he noticed the gear box was automatic, "most of it is on a road that does not see too much travel. Everyone on Terra is worried about their job, the night clubs and everything else...vacation is almost an unused word."
Driving out of the village, Michael grabbed his tactical pad as he pulled up the location before placing it onto the dashboard.

Opening the trunk, he grabbed his pack as well as his rifle before pulling his dog tags off, opening the elevator as he plugged them in followed by his thumb print before pulling Liam in the elevator. Feeling the elevator head to the top floor, he turned to him as he spoke; "I'm sorry, she's always kept to herself and well I don't tend to pry," noticing the doors opening as he pulled his dog tags out before tossing them onto his table. The fire started up, he tossed his gear aside as he unbuttoned his jacket before opening up his closet; "I've got spare suits and clothes in this closet and 2 others over there including a small armory."

After getting pulled into the elevator he fixed his jacket. Waiting as the car moved to the top floor. When the doors opened it reminded him of the loft Rebecca and he had soon after their wedding. Setting his gear down he made his way over to a second closet. Opening it up he say suits every shade of black and dark blue you can think of.
"Yeah, that was one of the problems. She never would open up to me and talk about what was bothering her."
Liam said taking one of the suits out that was the darkest black you could imagine. It also came with a black shirt and tie.
"Appreciate this, most of my things are still in boxes. Thanks to the damn judge awarding her the apartment. Plus me being sent to the Colonies, didn't have time to unpack."
The Lieutenant Colonel stated as he tried not to make it too obvious that he was looking for the shower.

Pulling out his blue suit, he set it aside with his custom made holster and a fresh pair of boots as he noticed Liam already gone to change but he would soon learn that some parts of the suit had Kevlar weave which meant the vest and jacket was actually bullet proof. All these little enhancements were one of the few things that kept him alive during their war with the Ha La Tha and actually kept him safe in the long run, not to mention the hidden compartments in the overcoat to hold spare mags. Picking up his suit, he headed into his master bathroom before coming out short of an hour later dressed in his suit with his holster hidden underneath his heavy coat with 1911 pistol and silencer inside as his personal security option.
Walking into his kitchen, he tucked the black card into his vest before pulling out a beer, he had seriously missed being here considering the last time he was here; the Ha La Tha tried to kill him in his zen garden.

Walking into the the bathroom in the hall. Hanging the suit on the hook, he began unbuttoning his jacket. Once he was stripped he got into the shower. The water felt great on his skin, the warmth soothed his aching muscles. As the water fell over him the water turned brownish as the dirt was washed away. After finishing showering and shaving, he started to get dressed. Tucking his tags into his shirt took his shoulder holster out of his pack and put it on. Inspecting his personal pistol he holstered it before tying the tie. After he cleaned up the bathroom he carried the suit jacket into the kitchen. Placing it on the back of a chair he looks over to Tom.
"Nothing like a hot shower to make you feel better."

Setting out a fresh beer, he took a sip of his before flipping on the map as well as the flat screen as he noticed pictures of Cornith; "Well I knew of a few gun markets in Alpheus and since the rebuild of Darious, it has most of the armor and explosive markets," pausing as he took another sip, "word is they have a new mixture of G6 and now G8 explosives not to mention new nitroglycerin tipped bullets," he was tired of using Colonial ammunition and even their trititanium tips were good but was wearing out and they needed more every time. Picking up keys from his old cigar box, he had tons of keys all of which were cars that he had picked up over time and each one had a small armory that he used during the Ha La Tha war.
Dropping his empty bottle in the bin, he turned to Liam as he picked up a pair of gloves and his hat; "Oh, that suit, its got Kevlar lining in it so if there is a toaster still roaming around then you can take a few bullets. I had all my suits setup like this since it weighs less than body armor and the Ha La Tha still has an uneasy treaty with SF Division."

Grabbing the beer off the counter, popping the cap off savoring the beer. It had been a long time since hr had enjoyed a beer with someone. As Tom switched in the map and the television to the news program. He could see the destruction that the government complex had taken. Shaking his head at the site, he then turned back to Westin.
"Im just after a nice new sniper rifle. The nitro tipped rounds will be an added bonus. Also im guessing your focus was demolition in Special Forces training."
Liam chuckled as he took another sip of his beer. When the Major motioned the suit having Kevlar in them he ran the jacket between his thumb and index finger.

Setting his empty beer bottle aside as he slipped on his gloves, "I was actually an operator, never meant to be on the battlefield but after the war, they released me and Michael well re-learned all my combat training and picked up on demolitions during our fight against the Ha La Tha. I can do just about every task, we used to have a saying while fighting the Ha La Tha, while the Ha La Tha may have an army it only takes one SF to destroy said army."
Slipping on his hat before choosing a pair of keys as he started over to the elevator, "Well Alpheus then, they have mostly pre and well post war weapons since the war will be finished after our next op."

Clearing his throat, he knew they weren't too far away as he turned to her; "Benjamin Little is now the President of the current Government, I've been asked to do a job that doesn't require a gun or a uniform, mostly an adviser to the President since not too many officers can do the job. I know you used to work with the Colonial Government," pausing as he felt the car slowing down, "it'll require me to stay here with the President but hopefully I can convince him to travel," noticing her not to far from the apartment as he pointed it out to her, "I wanted to wait on telling you so we can have a while to ourselves." Feeling her pulling into the underground garage before pulling to a stop and switching off the engine, "I would like to get to know the man since he's been pushed around by General Harperson and Rebecca Black, I'm sure he's convinced that all SF's are a pain in the ass but can only hope that he sees me differently." Her grip on the steer wheel got even tighter, so tight that her knuckles were beginning to turn white. Sam took a deep breath, not wanting to lose her temper. It wasn't working well, at all. "Yeah, you waited to tell me because you knew I wouldn't even come down here if you had told me on the ship." Pissed off, she opened her door and slammed it closed after stepped out. She popped the trunk of the car and grabbed her bag, turning away from Michael when he got out as well. She had gone against Ben in when she ran for Vice President years ago. Both had been honest, and hadn't downed each other in their campaigns. Sam respected him for that, but she had no idea what to think now. What had she missed? It felt more like a damned dictatorship now. And it didn't help that Michael claimed he would have to stay on the planet. "I don't see how we're going to make this work," she growled, heading for the elevator. Sam hung the strap of her beg on her shoulder and folded her arms across her chest, waiting for him to get his stuff.

Grabbing his stuff as he got out, he started over to her knowing she was pissed, "You would have still came only cause you need the time off and to get out of sickbay. I'm telling you cause it would be shitty for me to walk you to your raptor and not come with you, he needs an adviser so the SF Corps doesn't attempt a coup for the simple fact he isn't someone they can bully. I'm sure I can come to the ship anytime I want but I've gotta drag him along," stepping into the elevator as he turned to her, "you've got the key," setting his bags down as the doors shut. Its been a while since he had been back to his old apartment and he could feel the lift rise before opening once more to his white apartment before picking up their bags; most of it was how he left it.
Taking off his jacket as the glass auto tinted to reveal the rainy exterior, setting the bottle of wine of his wine rack before turning to Sam; "We'll make it work, I wouldn't bring you all the way here and tell you its over...its not who I am," walking over to her as he took her hands, "I promise the most eventful few days and no one to interrupt," pausing, "except I invited Little over tonight. Just so he can gauge me and I can gauge him but that's all."

She took a moment to look over the apartment. Everything was the same, but she wasn't as happy as the last time they were here. Sam had nothing to really trouble her back then. She expected nothing, and expected nothing now. Depending on people was a bad idea, considering how much they could let you down. "You did what?" she asked when Michael mentioned something about Ben coming over. "You invited him over? Tonight?" They hadn't even had a chance to get settled in from the trip down, and now she was going to have to play nice.
In no mood to deal with any visitors, or politicians for that matter, Sam sighed heavily as she slowly pulled her hands away from Michael's. She picked up her bag and turned around, looking back over her shoulder. "I'm going to take a shower and put on some dry clothes, since we're expecting company." With that, she headed for the bathroom with her bag in hand, closing the door behind her. Sam stripped off her clothes, which were still partially wet. Flipping on the shower faucet, she stepped under the hot water.
