Grinning, he peered out of the window as he crossed his arms; "Atlantia is a fine ship, cold, but other than that its a ship that we Terrans can be proud to serve on. I went onboard the Atlantia not just to get away from the Ha La Tha but went for love," noticing the grin on Thomas' face, "out of all the people we've fought and I've fallen for her. I encourage myself to continue to fight, never give up, but do everything I can to protect her."
Noticing a small squadron of Terran Vipers flying in the distance, "I remember when the General once said we were decedents of Apollo himself...everyday I live and stand at her side I know that has to be true. At least now the both of us have someone and something to fight for...that's how it should be."

Following the Vipers with his eyes, he noticed that those they thought had got wiped out was starting to reappear as more Vipers met up with the small squadron; "Yes it should be brother but then again most Terrans would say Terra is our wife, girlfriend or even mother to all of us so keeping her alive is our first priority," turning to him as he grinned, "First President Marcus Blackmus said that before he was assassinated."
Tapping his earpiece, he called over to Rebecca as he walked back over to the bar to have something to drink before they got moving; "Unless you two are frakkin can you please hurry up...by the name of Apollo, never took that long for us."

A frown appeared on Sam's face as she heard Thomas telling them to hurry. If there was one thing she hated more now than ever, it was being rushed. "Impatient, isn't he." She said to Rebecca as she finished getting dressed. She attached a sheath to each thigh and slid a small knife in each one before fastening a holster around her waist. Once her sidearm was secured as well, she nodded to Longshot that they should be all set.
Walking back into the main room, Sam narrowed her eyes as she passed by Jackel. "Frak you ... women have more needs, I'm sure if you paid attention half the time you would know." She snickered and came to a stop, standing beside Michael. "Sorry. It took some time to find something ... appropriate to wear." She tugged at the clothing. Gods, I'm going to burn up in this. "But we're ready to go now."

Grinning, he nodded as Jackel started into the elevator with Rebecca as he turned to her; "He used to be a bartender he wouldn't know patience if it came up and slapped him," pausing as he kissed her briefly, "sorry if it seems like I've been an ass or made you feel like an outsider which your not...your probably the strongest person here," giving her a side smile before he passionately kissed her.
Picking up his keys along with his shield as he started over to the elevator, "Thomas is mostly a collector and doesn't like shooting especially if there is always another option," leaning against the back of the elevator as he held silver keys in hand, "he collected my original car and well did some work on it."

Picking up his shield, Thomas didn't bother saying a word as he went into the elevator with Rebecca and headed down to the lobby with the President already waiting; "We'll be taking the lead and Michael will bring up the rear." Walking over to his car, he opened the door for the President and his guard along with Rebecca as he placed the shield in the truck; "Hope that's enough room after all they don't make cars like they used to...can you believe I've had this for 6 years," sitting in his driver's seat as he closed his door. Flipping on the air conditioner along with the radio as he burned out of the garage and onto the road with the massive convoy following them loaded up in the same model of vehicle but all in black with 4 troops per car and prepared for a fight if one comes.

Grabbing the rest of her gear, Sam followed Michael into the elevator and waited as the doors closed. She felt bad for going off on Thomas, remembering him as the bartender from the New Light Night Club, where she and JJ had been arrested. Smiling at the memory, she returned his kiss. "It's alright ... I guess I see how you felt when you came to the Atlantia."
When the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened, she stepped out and glanced around the garage. Jackel and Longshot had already gotten a head start. She looked at Michael and smiled. "When this is all over, some peace and quiet would be nice. No guns, nothing. Some alone time before we head back into the craziness." Setting her gear down, Sam wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down into another kiss. "Now let's get going."

Kissing her, he stayed close as he whispered to her; "I think I know of the perfect spot," tugging at her lip for a second before kissing her again, "don't worry we'll be taking up the rear and even with Thomas driving he doesn't go over 90 mph in that little thing." Walking over to a covered car as he pulled the cover off of it before opening up the trunk to toss his things in, "At least it was you yelling at him and not me," unlocking the car as he sat down in the drivers seat. Hitting the push to start, Michael opened up her door as he flipped on the lights; "The only straight shot to the capital is through the hill side and even then it'll be a while till we get there." Flipping the headlamps on, he rolled down the windows as he started up the radio; "Feels the same way it did a decade ago except a little better with you here."

Sam put her stuff in the trunk as well and stood back to admire the car for a moment. The sound of the engine brought a smile to her face. Like music to my ears. She climbed inside and closed the door. "So, the hill side then? Taking in the view?" Grinning at him she fastened the seat belt.
Wondering what all would be waiting for them in the Capital, or even more if any more basestars would show up, Sam sighed. "Pretty sure Thomas doesn't like me being around you anyway, so yelling at him probably didn't help matters..." She said and shrugged. "He'll have to get over it soon enough, because I'm not going anywhere." Placing her hand on his, Sam smiled as they headed out of the garage and the car went speeding off down the road toward the hill side.

The trip from Sparta back to the Penthouse was longer than Sam had imagined. When they finally arrived, they'd moved from the car and into the elevator in no time. She grinned in between the kisses. "Are you sure we" she started to say, pausing to take a breath, "should have left them back in Sparta? Something might happen." Talking seemed to be of no use. She finally wiggled free of his grasp and smiled. "We're both in pretty rough shape I'd say."
The elevator finally came to a jolting halt, and when the doors opened, Sam jerked Michael out and pulled him into another kiss. She kicked off her boots, feeling relieved already. Terra seemed to be at peace, for now anyway. If the cylons came back for more, another fight is what they'd get. But for now ... now was the time to relax and let the burdens go. She took Michael's hand in hers and pulled him into another room, their bedroom. A half grin on her face, she pushed him lightly towards the bed before pulling off her shirt and kicking the door closed.

Hours Later...Waking up, Michael could feel the sharp pains in his body as he peered over at the clock; it's been a whole 12 hours since they got in bed. Rolling over, he noticed his jacket slipping off of the bed but his attention was on her, she seemed to be worried about anything to ruin the R&R till he reversed the tables on her. Moving the hair out of her face, he softly kissed to her ear where he nibbled on her earlobe; "Not sure what hurts more, the Cylons or you?"
Grinning, he knew the answer already as he rested his head beside hers, it seemed like he was sleeping for an eternity.

Rolling over onto her stomach, Sam propped up on her elbow and rested her head in the palms of her hands. She raised an eyebrow and looked at Michael. "Don't pretend you don't enjoy some pain." Grinning, she kissed him lightly before looking over at the clock. It was more than half a day since they'd left Sparta to get some rest. There was the sound of thunder in the distant, and the moonlight shined dimly through the windows.
Stretching a bit, Sam rested her head on Michael's chest. Her eyes wandered over the various combat bruises, as well as a few bite marks. She smirked, gently trailing her lips over each little mark. "There...feel better?" Sam giggled and an innocent smile crossed her face. She rested her head and lightly ran her fingertips across his skin. "So, what are our plans? I seem to remember something about a perfect spot for R&R?"

Lifting up her hand, he kissed every digit as he blocked out the thunder of a nearby storm which during this time especially in the season they're in isn't unusual. Whispering to her as he thought of one place, "We call it Apollo Falls but its one of the few pieces of paradise we have...2 ways of getting there, Jeep or Raptor and so happens got a Jeep stashed away but can't go during the night."
Pausing as he took her hands and rolled her over onto her back, placing her hands near the head board; "We'll go in the morning," kissing her passionately as he moved over to her ear with the sheets covering his mid back, "I think you were holding back though."

Sam had a pouted look on her face as she looked up at Michael. "I never hold back. You must be imagining things," she said and chuckled, lightly biting down on his lower lip. She forced him back over in a quick motion and pinned his arms back this time. "Apollo Falls, huh? We'll go in the morning then, yes?" Her eyes twinkled innocently as she smiled.
Rolling over and letting him go, Sam sat up and rubbed her head lightly, and watched out the window at the beautiful streaks of lightning across the sky. She hoped that the others ... Greer, Thomas, Rebecca ... were finding some time to relax and get rested up. They'd all been through hell, the next few days would seem like paradise. She sat on the edge of the bed, dark wavy hair draped across her shoulder. Sam could feel a chill run up her bare back. Part of her wished time would suddenly stop, and things could stay like this. "Sorry ... after years of not fighting, I think I've lost some of my edge in so many ways." She mumbled, half smiling.

Sitting up, Michael ran his hand across her back as he whispered to her; "You hadn't lost your edge I was joking with you," kissing her shoulder as he peered out of the window, "they'll be okay I promise you."
Lying her down as he pinned her down for a change, "Sorry for seeming like an ass but felt so much slipping away," kissing her briefly, "won`t happen again," kissing her once more as he moved her hair out of her face, "did I ever mention how beautiful you looked right here right now?"
